1 Prologue

"I hope I'm not too late." said the woman while rushing toward the huge room. There's a huge space inside the room. A computer and some sort of a cannon in the middle of the room.

She approaches the computer and began to power up the reactor. A huge explosion outside caused the whole place to shake, almost making her fall. The whole place feels like it's going to collapse any minute now. Yet, she continues powering up the reactor like there is no war going on outside.

She's almost done when an error message pops up on the screen. She then realized that she forgot something. Something important. She checks her bag and grabs the transparent-blue crystal on her bag and look at it.

Another explosion happens and shakes the whole place. Causing her to fall down and lose the crystal. The walls and even the ceiling are beginning to crack and some part of the ceiling began to fall. Almost hitting her. She scans the room trying to find the crystal. She startled when she heard a gunshot. She rushes herself trying to find the crystal. She moved the rock that falls from the ceiling and grabs the crystal. After grabbing the crystal, she runs toward the huge machine that looks like a cannon, in the middle of the room. She then put in the crystal inside the reactor. After putting the crystal in the rift reactor, she went back in front of the computer and tried to power it up again.

The huge cannon produced a blinding blue-light and a loud sound as it charges for power. She pressed a button on the computer. Causing the reactor to shoots a laser beam toward the giant wall, creating a huge portal.

Another explosion happens, creating a huge crack on the wall and in the ceiling. She looks up to the ceiling, hoping that she will be able to finish what she needs to do before the whole place collapse.

She typed in something on the computer and the huge crane started moving. It started to grab some cryogenic pod and move it toward the huge portal.

"What are you doing?" Said the man behind her.

Shocked! She turns around to see who it was and look back to the screen.

"We cannot win this war. Not like this, and you know it," she said.

"So, what are you going to do? Sacrifice yourself? Damn it! It's not worth it. We need to escape."

"What are you talking about? I don't plan on dying in this place, and I also don't plan on losing this war. Especially now that I found a way to turn this around."

"Then what are you going to do? Can't you see that it's already too late? There's no way we can still win this war."

"No! There's still enough time. If I can send this back to the past then there's still a chance."

"What are you talking about?"

"I will send the cryo-pod back to the past in the hope that someone might get them and be awaken when the time is right. I also put a copy of my consciousness on each cryo-pod so someone will guide them and prevent this war."

"That's ridiculous! Even if you were able to send them back in time where Terran still thrive. The chances of someone finding them is really low and even if someone finds them. The chances for them being suitable will not be high as well. Not to mention the probability that the cryo-pod might get damaged in the process."

"I am well aware. That's why I plan to send a million cryopod. So, there will be a high chance that this will work."

"Do you also have a way to-"

Another explosion happens, causing the whole place to shake. This time a huge part of the ceiling crumbles and fall on top of the reactor and damaging it. The portal vanished and one by one, the crane falls.

"NO!" She shouted, after seeing the reactor getting crushed.

"Come on! We don't have much time. Let's just hope that cryo-pod that you sent is enough to change the course of our future." He shouted as he grabbed her by her arms and drag her out.

The whole place began to crumble. The wall where the reactor created the portal, cracked and fall. Causing for the huge part of the ceiling to fall. A starry sky can now be seen and some huge spaceship firing their laser cannon. There's also a dogfight of different spacecraft. One spacecraft pass by and dropped a missile, causing the whole place to explode.
