Reynolds Hamsworth ( tbate fanfic)

Adam was a history enthusiast who loved to think about the past and fantasize about the day-to-day life of the people. But, this enthusiasm of his didn't stem from academics as most would think. It came from reading comics, mangas, Manhwas, and the sort. He was fascinated by how the past times were pictured in them. He soon grew a passion for them and started to tour all around the world to see those relics of the past for himself. It was on a journey such as this that his life came to an abrupt end. But, contrary to his belief, it did not end rather, it was a new beginning. It was the beginning after the end. ____________________________________________ I do not own 'The beginning after the end'. It is owned by TurtleMe. It is just a fanfic that I have written to realize my own fantasies. I only own my OC characters. I am also not a native English speaker and this is my first time writing so please pardon the writing quality. Also, the picture for the cover page does not belong to me, all the credit goes to the artist. Other than that, enjoy!

Entwined Existence

[Reynolds' POV]

'We are currently heading towards the living room. The news was, there is a guest in the house and I have a fairly clear idea of who it is. It has been a few months after my supposed awakening and after that Uncle Reynolds hadn't asked me for another spar, it seems his ego was hurt quite badly. I went back to my daily activities. Training my martial arts, water and ice magic and more importantly, my 'darkness'. As time went by I seriously started to think the unknown power was invincible. It seemingly could do anything and everything I wanted it to do. Although it seems certain prices need to be paid to utilise this power. Right now, the trade doesn't seem that bad, it just consumes my stamina. But I can see it asking for something much more if I did something that defies the laws of physics. For now, I have to find a way around it or at least do something to reduce the price...'

The door to the room was snapped open by mom and she said aloud, "Alice! I heard your son is back?"

I peeked from behind mom and scanned the interior of the room. Uncle Reynolds was standing in front of the door, on his way out of the room. Aunt was sitting on the couch and beside her was sitting the protagonist of the world. Arthur Leywin, with his spectacular auburn hair and fresh Saphire blue eyes. His build was not too bulky, but not too scrawny either. He had an athletic build like me. He was just as handsome as the story made him out to be.

'Though for a first impression..... I wonder why he has that dumbfounded look on his face...'

"Oh hey, Darlene! come in. Yeah, he is...."

As mom and aunt started to talk among themselves, I walked forward towards the redhead and stretched my hand towards him, "Hi! I am Reynolds Hamsworth, what's your name?"

[Arthur's POV]

I was still a little taken aback by Ellie's question when I suddenly saw the boy walking towards me before extending his hands and saying, "Hi! I am Reynolds Hamsworth, what's your name?"

If I was not startled back then, now I was. Something about his extroversion awkward but addicting at the same time. Before I knew it I saw my hand approaching his for a handshake.

He firmly grasped my hand and gave me, possibly the most hearty smile I had ever seen aside from Tess.

A smile embraced my own lips as I said, "I am Arthur Leywin. It's nice to meet you."

The next moment, rushing footsteps could be heard coming from outside the door. As I took a glance towards the direction, I saw a middle-aged man rush inside the room.

"Rey! I just heard your son is alive?!... what... in the world is going on?" What started with a scream turned into doubtful ramblings.

But as I scanned through the new arrivals I saw a middle-aged woman and a young girl close to my age.

I was confused a little bit as I assumed Hamsworths were the ones who owned this place.... then who are these people?

As I was having my inner monologue, dad took care of my introduction.

"Vincent, Tabitha, I would like to meet my son, Arthur. Arthur, This is Vincent Healstea, who runs the Healstea auction house, and my old friend who I now work for. This is his house, so introduce yourself before we start wrecking it. And they are Raymond and Darlene Hamsworth, they also stay and work here with us. These two little fellas here are Reynolds Hamsworth and Lilia Healstea. They are of the same age as you, so be good and make friends with them."

And with that, all of my doubts were cleared. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr and Mrs Healstea, Mr and Mrs Hamsworth. I'm sure this may all come as a surprise to you but I was the one who asked them not to tell anyone how I was, so allow me to apologise for the confusion."

I was bowing when I said that so couldn't see their expressions. As I looked up, I saw them having wry smiles on their face as they looked at each other.

"Why do I feel like I have seen this before?" Aunt Tabitha said with an exasperated sigh.

"Hahaha! I know right! crazy how that works! By the way, are you sure you're related to your father?"

"Hey! I get asked that a lot, but yes."

While I was sweatdropping at their banter, Aunt Tabitha let out a small giggle and called out to me," Great to have you in our home. As your father said, Arthur, this is Lilia. she is about your age, so I hope the two of you can be friends." she said as she propped her hands on her daughter's shoulders

I just smiled and waved at her while Sylvie kyud from my shoulder. It seemed as soon as she laid eyes on her, she too was struck by cuteness. I don't blame her, Sylvie's cuteness is irresistible.

By now, dad's banter with his friend was over and uncle Vincent raised a reasonable question.

" So what was that about wrecking my house?"

"Ah! that's right! Arthur and I were just about to go out back for some sparring!"

"Ohh sparring~... wait wha-"

it seems it was decided that the spar was gonna happen anyway...

at that moment, mom said something that piqued my interest quite a bit.

"Dear, why don't you spar against both Art and Rey?" I whipped my face towards her only to see a coy smile on her face. I turned back towards dad and there was a look of hesitation on his face.

Being unable to hold my curiosity in, I ended up asking aloud," What's happening?"

Everyone in the room had a wry smile on their faces.

I finally decided to turn towards the person they were talking about, only to see him heaving a long, exasperated sigh while running his callous-full hand through his silky bicoloured hair.

I don't know why, but seeing him like that, I couldn't help but feel that we were of the same kind. Birds of a feather flocking together. As if resembling similar existence of varying essence intertwining with each other.
