12: Blue Moon (IV)

Guys I think I will need to cut things that i had planned for this arc. Because when i first made plan for this arc, i wrote a lot of things but this would obly be four or five max chapters long. But now that my writting became "better"/"longer" this would be 20 to 30 chapters lol.

So yeah in 2 or 3 chapters I am going to fasten the pace. ENJOY.

Luna sat. They were once again staring into one another's eyes. She was puzzled. There was an air of niceness and friendliness about him when he talked to her.

"Server!" called out the old man

A server then approached them. He looked at Vanitas who had not yet ordered anything and asked, "What would you like?"

Luna looked at the menu and ordered a prime beef. This was one of the only thing she recognised on the menu. She had never eaten in such a restaurant with her father before.

"Will that be all" asked the server eying the old man.

"Yes" he responded

As the server walked away, the old man asked Luna "So, you seem to have questions"

Vanitad nodded. She felt like she could trust the old man. It was as if his eyes were capable of seeing everything about her, but he was still curious about what she had lived. She then began to tell the story of how she came to be where she is today. From the happy childhood to the death of her father and her talk with Hades. Some silent tears fell on her face as she remembered that morning.

The old man, looked at her. The world was engulfed by his deep eyes. His voice became majestic, but also sad. A sadness that Luna could understand. While she had no idea what he had been through, she knew that he had seen a wide variety of things over the course of his life.

"I am sorry that you had to live this, young one" his voice seemed to hold guilt.

Why? He had no hands in that. Did he?

"Why?" the vampire of the Blue Moon asked, her voice crackling.

"I consider you all to be my children. So I am sad to see you like that"

Luna sighed. He wasn't responsible for the death of her dear father. But it quickly turned into confusion.

Children… "Who are you" she asked.

"I have had many names. But the one most know me as is Prometheus." He answered

"Prometheus… The titan who allied with the gods during the Titanomachy. But then left Olympus after seeing how the gods treated mortals ?" she inquiries. While all she said was not common knowledge, her father was not an ordinary person.

Prometheus nodded. He looked sad remembering all that. The gods were not better than Kronos. While Kronos was a tyran to his subordinates. In his rule the world was peaceful, Greece was in a golden age. He had good relations with other pantheons contrary to that scumbag Zeus.

Prometheus flew in the river of his long life. His childhood as Gaea was not asleep yet. The transition when the earth fell asleep. The wars waged against an uncountable number of races and gods.

Wars… Wars have no concrete reason for immortal. In the past, untold numbers of wars were fought without any real need for them. They had no need for more territory.

There is a big difference between immortals and mortals. Food is not necessary for them to live, as they do not need it. Neither more living space nor more resources are required for them to survive. It is possible for them to just make it on their own. The only reason why they would want the temple of another person would be as a trophy for their accomplishments.

It's boring to be an immortal.

War are waged by them simply because they feel like it. It is sometimes possible for gods to cohabit, but they do not do so. And while In the absence of their opposites, Light and Darkness cannot be considered the same.

In spite of this, Good and Evil are always at odds with each other. There is a difference between what mortals think of as good and what it actually is.

It is just it. Good is good and Evil is evil but that does not mean that Evil loves destruction and killing.

Throughout the ages, Darkness and Light have fought endless battles for no reason whatsoever.

Prometheus remembered a story that Gaea told him when he was but a child.

The first war. God, Khaos and Azathoth. She said that no one knew why they fought. But what if there was no reason. What if they just fought and that's all there is to it.

The titan of forethought's eyes lost colors. Apathy had swept over his mind, logic had ceased to exist, and the world had become nothing more than colorless and uninteresting to him.

That state did not last long. He forgot all about it.

Now that Prometheus thought about it. The more powerfull one is, the less understandable is one's mind.

That made him remember someone. Hades. They talked a bit together. But every time they see each other, the less Prometheus can understand him.

As a young God before the war, he was too mature for his own good. His character changed during the war from one of warmth to one of coldness. In the aftermath of his betrayal, he became a very strategic person and a very good ruler due to his strategic thinking.

When Prometheus saw Hades the last time, he became an unfathomable god that no one could comprehend. He was a cold person, but he was also a very joyful person. He manipulated but also spoke the truth without any effects. While his aura felt as if he was above everyone else, he did not care at all in what way he was treated as if the two of them were the same.

"Do you know how to get to the underworld without dying" asked Luna interrupting his line of thoughts.

"I have an idea" responded the titan

"How" questioned Vanitas

"When were the gates of the END first opened?" asked Prometheus to Luna.

"What?" the vampire did not await that for an answer.

She waited for a few seconds. But seeing that the old person did not say more she though about it.

"As the fire was given to humans" she then responded. This was the first and only time the gates of the END were opened.

"Yes. Now continue." He said

So she recounted the story "The black fire engulfed Greece. It warmed the world. It scorched the darkness of Greece. Then one of the first human, extended his palm and in it was a black flame. He became the first being blessed by Hades. Him and the rest of the progenitor of humanity then build a fire camp with it. Time passed and with the aid of the fire which helped them build tools, the first city was build."

Realisation then came to her mind and she screamed "The first city!"

Prometheus nodded and then in a *crisp* he disappeared.
