"Oh, what can you do to get revenge from us? You are just a weak adventurer who cannot use magic." The Mayor said. He was confident that Kyle had no chance of escaping the mansion, let alone taking revenge.

But Kyle had no intention of escaping. He said,"I will escape this mansion within the next two days. Do whatever you can to stop me. And when I do escape, start counting your days. After escaping, I promise to kill you within a month. If you can run, then run. It you can hide, then hide. But at that time, even the Author is going to have a hard time saving you from my wrath."

"Best of luck, useless warrior. May your dreams come true." Mayor said while trying to control his laughter. He was not ready for the event that was going to happen in the next few days.

Kyle originally came from a family which had a history of having great talent in exorcism. His ancestors were people with great standings in the imperial court.

He however, did not know what exorcism meant. After all, exorcism was a different category of magic which was banned in the Raven wing Kingdom due to being considered as the teaching of the Devil for cleaning souls and supplying them to hell. That night, after falling unconscious at midnight, Kyle had a dream.

It was a forest filled with fog, where Kyle used to come with his mother to collect fruits and flowers.

In it there was a person with white hair which had the same physical features as Kyle himself. He asked Kyle,

"Do you want power?"

Kyle answered "At any cost."

"Then I will show you the way."

The person started walking towards Kyle. After coming close, he used his hands and touched Kyle's heart. His heart started to glow. It was as if something warm had been removed from inside his body, and it was replaced by something extremely cold.

"This is the power you desire. The more you use it, the more it controls you. It will not let you be defeated, but will simultaneously defeat you as well. Use it wisely."

Kyle nodded. All he wanted was revenge. He did not care about what happened to him.

"Goodbye."

After the unknown person said that, Kyle woke up. He found out that power was surging through his entire body, in the form of ice.

"Time to settle the score." he muttered.

He could feel his heart commanding him to use magic on the chains. One by one, the chains started to develop a ice covering and soon enough, all the chains were covered completely in ice. After which, it took only one chop of the hand to break them down.

Not only could Kyle now use magic, but somehow he extremely became great at it. He was killing all the guards, one by one without even breaking a sweat. He had completely destroyed all the cellars and released the people who were held captive inside them. within minutes, all the guards were frozen into ice sculptures. No one was left except for the Mayor and his Nephew.

"Mother, I am going to kill them. Please close your eyes while I torture them to death. " He said calmly. He did not want his mother to witness the crime he was gonna commit, regardless of whether her soul was watching over him or not.
