The princess and the Valkyries

*Riveer; the royal palace*
King Ceaser Lindre was in his throne room checking out some papers while smiling.
Turns out his kingdom made a huge profit at the festival. With the gains, he probably will be able to strengthen his kingdom's defences in case of war.
In this world, war was a natural occurrence. It hasn't been too long when the demon waged war on the human kingdoms.
The human kingdoms all had to join hands since the demon lord of that time's strength was incomparable and was far above the kingdoms individual strengths.
Since they defeated him, they haven't heard from the demon kingdom in years after the demon races split up and king Ceaser was worried that they might act since they have a new lord.
"Sigh..." the king sighed as he continued checking out the papers.
*Creeeaaak*
The throne room's door creaked as a guard in blue armour walked in.
The king averted his gaze from the papers and looked at the guard who was walking towards him.
"What is it Grey?" the king asked curiously as this guard rarely comes here so he guessed that there was news to deliver.
...
"My king, the princess has arrived!" the guard said as he bowed.
The king smiled as he said, "Finally!" he stood up from the throne and dropped the papers on a table close by.
"Prepare an entourage for her, it has been so long" the king said as he walked down the podium that his throne was on.
"Of course" the guard followed the king and exited the throne room.

*Riveer kingdom's gate*
The two large blue gates which were parted in the middle opened up. A group of people rode in with horses and they were all women.
Some of them had full armour while some only covered some parts of their body.
The people seeing them immediately erupted in cheers as they clapped and talked.
"Hey look, it's the Valkyries!"
"The Valkyries?, that means princess Mira is back!"
"You're saying it like you don't know that she's part of them. She's the one that formed the Valkyries herself"
"Wow, look, she's even more beautiful than before"
All of them looked at the woman that was riding in front of the other eight Valkyries.
She had long silky white hair, her blue eyes resembled that of king Ceaser's, she really resembles her father with her eyes.
Her facial structure was perfect in every way with a pointed nose, straight jawline and cherry red lips.
Her slim and slender figure was showing as she wore a short white gown that was fitted on her and exposed her smooth white legs.
Her butt was slightly changing shape as the horse rode into the kingdom showing how soft they were.
Men that were there all couldn't stop talking about the princess and the beautiful team that she put together.
The other women behind the princess sneered at the men and guys with disgust as they were just commoners.
Overall, the Valkyries radiated confidence and calmness as they rode pass the gossiping people.
"Welcome back princess Mira"
"My princess is as beautiful as ever"
"We can't wait to hear the good news"
'Of course' the princess waved at the people as she passed them and rode to the castle. She couldn't wait to reveal wahat she found during her expedition.
Little did she know that a surprise awaited her too.

*Riveer's royal castle*
*Second floor guest room*
A man with blue hair was sitting on a big bed cross legged as he meditated. A white vortex was in front of him visibly spinning. White energy was sucked into the vortex from the air.
...
"Sigh..." the man sighed as he opened his eyes which were golden.
"How much was it Micheal?" the man asked as he laid back on the bed.
[Your soul vortex should be ready to evolve with about one week of absorbing soul energy] Micheal replied in a humanoid voice.
Micheal advised Sariel to evolve his soul vortex into the soul monarch level as that would be the only way to increase his power for now.
"Even if it's ready to evolve...I'll still need to break through by over absorbing soul energy and that will take a lot of time too" Sariel said tiredly.
[Or...you could use an external energy source]
Sariel's brows furrowed as he asked.
"You mean like soul crystals?"
[Exactly!... You could use the energy to obtain an overdrive and evolve your soul vortex] Micheal said excitedly, happy that his human is smart.
"Okay...mmmmmmmAh" Sariel stretched in different positions while groaning as he has been in a meditative position for days.
"Let me have my bath first...I heard that the princess will arrive today"
Sariel was feeling kind of nervous for some reason, he hasn't seen her for years and was kind of sad for leaving for a long time.

*Meanwhile beside him.
*PAA PA RAA.....*
The trumpets were blown as they saw a group of people riding on horses towards them. The people holding flags waved the flags and danced about as they cleared the way for the Valkyries to pass.

...POV Mira...
Seeing the entourage that was in front of the castle, princess Mira already knew that this was her father's doing.
Her and her Valkyries rode into the castle and a group of guards in blue armour came towards them.
They all dismounted from the horses as the guards bowed.
"Take care of them well, they need rest!" the princess said as she smiled at them.
"Of course your highness" the guards were captivated by her smile but immediately switched to professional mode and took the reigns from the Valkyries while keeping a straight face.
They watched the guards walk away with the horses and they proceeded into the castle grounds.

The princess smiled as she saw a slightly old man with grey hair and blue eyes in a blue robe. The man smiled back as he walked to her with his guards.
"Mira my dear!"
"Father!"
They hugged each other as they spoke.
"How was the expedition?" the king asked as he smiled at the others condition and didn't see anyone hurt.
"Let's go inside and we'll talk about it!" the king nodded to her statement.
"You all should make yourselves comfortable. The maids will assist you in anything"
"Thank you your highness" the Valkyries replied as they bowed towards the king.
The king nodded as he took his daughter inside the castle.
