The snake's glowed red and Vernox got ready for the next attack. He knew all of the snake's skills since he played this level in the game 19 times.

The snake spit a red flame and it flew towards Vernox at high speed. But Vernox immediately creates his own flame and shot it towards the red fire ball.

*BOOOOM*

The place shook as an explosion took place. That flame is an explosive flame that explodes upon contact with anything so Vernox knew how to deal with it.

With immense speed Vernox dashed towards the monster who was. stuck under some rocks that fell when the explosion happened.

The snake saw him coming and charged another attack, but before it could release it Vernox jumped with force and sliced off the monster's head.

"Huff...huff"

Vernox collapsed backwards as he was almost exhausted. He was getting addicted to fighting monsters. Or was it killing them that was more fun...but anyhow, it was thrilling for him.

Seeing that the snake has been killed Minova rushed in to check if Vernox was okay.

"Are you okay?"

"Huff...huff...I'll live"

He stood up and walked towards the demon sword that just laid on an alter in the middle of the room.

The sword seems to emit a dangerous aura as a black flame burnt it...never going out.

'I know what comes after this'

"Hey, Minova I might be unconscious for a while, but don't disturb me else we'll die"

"Yes...of course"

She shivered a little as she heard his voice and she stepped back.

Vernox sat cross legged on the floor. He grabbed the sword and was greeted by the system screen again.

[Curse is activated. Trial will begin]

Everywhere suddenly turned white and Vernox couldn't see anything but white.

After a while his vision cleared and he saw himself in an empty room as he saw bones all over the place.

"Arh Arh Arh...hahahaha"

He looked back and saw a huge demon with red skin. It resembled humans but it was bigger and it's eyes were demonic green. It had two horns which were even more menacing and the demon was actually smiling at Vernox.

'It's even more scary in real life'

"Another person came to claim the sword of Satan. You will be devoured my me today".

The demon stood up which he was sitting on with a chain that had a ball with spikes at the edge. It's called a chain mace.

'In the game the demon didn't say all that but it's cool. I still know how it attacks'

He ran towards the demon with great speed.

"You're a fool"

The devils voice bellowed as it swung it's weapon horizontally...

Vernox used his speed to slide down and not get hit by the ball. He jumped and punched the devil on it's side.

"How dare you?"

The devil roared in anger as it waved it's chain madly. Vernox only smirked and slides between it's legs with perfect timing.

He kicked one of the legs and the demon lost balance and fell. Vernox jumped up high as he wanted to finish it with a powerful blow.

*BANG*

The demon punched him away and he crashed on another side of the room.

'Oww..it hurts as fuck, am I not inside my head...how does it hurt' he got scared now.

The demon stood up and started spinning the chain mace around.

The devil suddenly threw the mace at him. Vernox's eyes shown as he jumped out the way. Immediately the ball was out of view he was greeted by a kick.

*Bang*

He crashed at another side of the room. The demon ran towards him.

'That's right, it can't use magic spells'

'Dark conjure."

A dark aura gathered in front of him and formed spikes.

"Go"

He sent the spikes and they flew at amazing speed towards the demon. The demon easily spinner, dodged, and deflection the spikes and continued charging towards him.

'I guess I have no choice'

---Full transformation---

Flames erupted from his body and formed a fire tornado around him as the fire swirled and covered him.

The demon stopped in it's tracks as the light was abnormal.

Soon, the flame dispersed and released Vernox in his demon form. He grew a little bit bigger, his skin was now red with scales on most areas. Two majestic red wings sprouted from his back as his eyes glowed a purple light.

He had claws on both his toenails and fingers while his canines grew longer.

'This is so cool, demon dragon kin transformation. My strength seems to have increased greatly'

"Raarrh"

He ran towards the demon to attack. The demon also ran towards him and they continued their fight.

Meanwhile, Minova has been watching over her master who has been asleep for two hours.

'Is he sleeping?'

She ignored him and decided to sit down beside him since he said he didn't want to be disturbed. She turned to look at the sword that Vernox is holding who's blade was on black flames and wondered whether the sword was responsible for his behaviour. But she didn't touch him and stood up to explore the caves more.
