It was already morning. Minova woke up only to see Vernox sleeping next to her on the bed and he was shirtless. Different thoughts ran through her head as she thought about what could have happened while she was asleep.

Vernox opened his eyes and he noticed someone staring at him.

"Huh?...oh, you're awake"

He got up from the bed and he looked at Minova and saw a shocked expression on her face... immediately, he got the gist.

"You don't need to worry, nothing happened last night" he ensured her.

Hearing that Minova was a little bit relieved. She couldn't believe that she was going to follow a demon now. If the human kingdoms finds out that a human is working with demons she would definitely be hunted down.

There are six human kingdoms in this world which are Camelot, Easthaven, Kemengrad, Jornix, ironhold and Riveer. All six human kingdoms have an alliance and are working together. One of the things that made the demon kingdom in the game powerful was the unity of the demon races and some demonic races. The five demon races, dragon kin, dark elves, cubuses, werewolves and vampires were split and living independently now.

Although Azure still had some other demon races apart from the dragon kin, they were not much.

"So what's the plan today, my lord"

Minova walked up to Vernox who was staring out the window.

"First off, food. This little village should have a tavern"

He stretched his hand and the air in front of the hand distorted as a golden mask came out. This mask was to cover only the upper part of the face.

"Put this on"

He gave the mask to her. Looking at the mask that was shiny in her hand, Minova guessed that it must be valuable. She then put it on and looked at Vernox.

"Hmm...missing something"

He observed her and then noticed that he still recognize her due to her long black hair.

"Your hair...it's too long, we'll need to do something about that too"

She looked at him in horror as she loved her long hair...but she was in his Dept for saving her.

She looked around and found a scissor and...well, she cut her hair. After that Vernox gave her a black hooded cape to put on and they left the room.

As they made their way to the tavern the people noticed the person beside the demon prince as they didn't see the person last night with him. The people noticed that the girl's soul energy was demonic so they closed their suspision and thought that the masked person was the demon Prince's guard.

Arriving at the tavern, they took a seat at one of the tables and ordered a dish. While waiting for the dish Vernox heard a notification sound and a screen appeared in front of him.

[New quest: Retrieve the demon sword and take the throne.(Rewards-???)

'I was right, it's like a game or should I call it a system. And what's this...for every good thing...well at least there is no punishment for doing bad things'

It's not like he planned to do anything bad...he only wants to be powerful in this world.

Sometimes later a waiter a waiter brought two dishes of grilled meat. Judging by the look on Minova's face, Vernox could conclude that she hasn't eaten for sometime.

Minova was almost drooling at the sight of the food. Before she moves the food with her eyes Vernox spoke up.

"You can eat you know" she only looked at him and nodded slowly.

"Th...thank you"

She started eating the food slowly but after a few seconds, she started devouring the food at a rapid rate. Vernox was amazed by her eating speed. He just smiled and ate his dish.

After eating the both of them both of them went to the stable that was at the edge of the small village. He retrieved the horse given to him in Azure and mounted on it.

"What?...you've never ridden one before?" he said as Minova was looking at the horse strangely.

"No, my Lord"

"Sigh..come on"

He grabbed her and put her behind him on the horse.

"You can hold my waist for balance if you are not comfortable"

To which she held his waist almost immediately and with that he rode the horse out of the village towards the next stop point before he goes to the forest.

In the kingdom of Jornix stood a grand and majestic castle in the middle that can rival the beauty of the demon castle too.

Four hooded people could be seen entering the castle doors. They went straight upwards towards the throne room of the king.

Inside the throne room sat king Edrid the king of Jornix.

Jornix kingdom was one that deals in the trading of demon slaves.

Inside the room, the king seems to be discussing with some other people who were dressed extravagantly.

"Haha...I'm telling you. They'll soon arrive bringing good news of the destruction of the demon nation"

The people all chatted with the king. Suddenly the doors of the throne room opened and a guard came in.

"My Lord, they've returned"

"Send them in"

The king and his elders were all smiles as four people came in, knelt down on one knee while removing their hoods.

"My Lord...I'm afraid, the mission was not successful"

The king frowned upon their statement.

"What do you mean?"

"The creature was slain by the Lord of Azure"

The king's hand was shaking as he heard that.

"You mean the demon Lord. He hasn't been making any external appearances and our info broker said that he has become weak"

The king panicked. There was a short period of silence as everyone was shocked by what these sorcerers were saying.

"He was by no means weak my king. He killed the beast in a very short period of time. And also, we saw his familiar...the white dragon"

The king, upon hearing his explanation was afraid that his kingdom was going to be in trouble.

"Were you caught?" the king asked in a rushed tone.

"No we weren't my king"

Upon hearing that the king managed to calm down a little.

"You're dismissed"

He sent everyone, including the nobles out of the room. Soon the king plunged into a series of thoughts.

'Does this mean that the demon Lord has reached the level of soul emperor'

The king was shaken a little. The ranking system for this world is soul awakener, soul Hunter, soul specialist, soul master, soul king, soul emperor, soul monarch, soul saint and soul God.

The most powerful person in this world now was the king of Camelot who have reached the level of soul monarch.

Because of his strength he gained enough power and influence and now Camelot was the kingdom with the most strength.

"Tsk, they didn't still succeed. I'll just have them try again"

He wanted to bring Azure down since he was lacking dragon kin slaves.
