POV Minova

'I can't seem to thank him enough' Minova thought as she made her way back to the castle.

'He said that he has a way to help me with my demonic energy but has done more than that by taking me in'

She was so grateful that words couldn't describe it. Although the reason that she is with Vernox is to fix her, he has shown her love and care and that made her happy.

The demons has shown her more care and support that her own people never gave her and she was very angry at them.

Just because she has demonic soul energy does it mean that she was a demon?, does it mean that she is now a plague?. She didn't even have friends when she was little and her father's brother took care of her.

All her peers were going to magic school but because she has demonic energy, she couldn't register as they have no information regarding it.

One day she decided that she was going to find a solution to her problem and ventured out....and she did.

Well...not yet but she...they would soon find the solution.

'He said that he wanted more time to settle things here'

She walked into the castle and went to her room that was given to her.

*Vernox POV*

After the meal, Beth came to take away the things that they used to eat and the remains.

"Huh?" she looked at the six empty plates and wondered where all the food went.

Vernox was sitting there and enjoying the after taste of the meat in his mouth when he heard someone.

Looking up he saw Beth looking at the three plates like as if she wanted something to be there. She looked at him and asked.

"Did both of you eat all this?" she just wanted to be sure.

"Actually Minova only ate one, I ate the rest" he Said as he flashed her a smile.

She noted this down that Vernox's appetite seems to have increased over time and that she would probably have to tell the chefs to cook more.

As she was stacking the plates that they used Vernox used the opportunity to check her stats' since he didn't know her level.

Shadow secret arts: An art created by a shadow demon a long time ago. It consists of three blade technique and two spells.

----- Dark matter impalement(Blade technique): A shadow cover a specific area and spikes made out of demonic energy can emerge from anywhere under the user's command.

- Can be used within 300 metres now (Range will increase with evolution of soul energy)

- Dark energy needs to be gathered in the sword.

- The sword must be impaled I'm the ground.

- Consumes 590 soul energy per minute.

----- Demon sky blades(Blade technique): Create an amount of swords in the air and send them towards the enemy like projectiles.

- Must hold a sword to activate as the created swords will resemble the one that is wielded.

- Consumes 200 soul energy for each blade created.

----- Phantom movement (Blade technique): Use shadow to confuse the enemies and look like multiple persons at the same time.

- Can switch original body to where the other two bodies are.

- Consumes 200 soul energy per minute.

----- Shadow jumping(Spell): Ability to teleport through shadows(Anywhere there is shadow the user can teleport there)

- The ability is limited to light.

- It gets stronger as the day gets darker.

- Consumes 150 soul energy for each teleportation.

----- Shadow bind: Ability to cast a huge shadow. Targets will be frozen in place and won't be able to move.

- The range increases as the user becomes more powerful. (Range is limited presently).

- Affects targets that are only on the user's level and below.

Vernox stared at the screen dumbfounded at her stats and level.

"WHAT!!!" he shouted in shock.

Beth was a bit startled as she turned and looked at him and asked.

"My Lord?, are you okay?" she asked as she looked at him with a suspicious gaze.

Vernox closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down. What did he just see?. Isn't she his maid?, could she be more than that?.

'Now's not the time to freak out....be the demon Lord....be the demon Lord...be calm'

He opened his eyes which he closed earlier and answered her. "I'm fine...Beth, if you don't mind, let's have a little chat" he said as he looked at her seriously.

Beth wondered why his mood changed all of a sudden as she went to sit on the chair opposite him.

How would his mood not change when he just saw her unreasonable stats. And what's up with the title?.

He knew all the powerful characters in his game but he has never heard of her. She was only his maid in the game.

Or maybe he wasn't able to witness her coming into the spotlight in the game due to how his life was cut short.

"Why are you my maid?" he asked as he didn't believe that she was forced to do so.

Who would do so in the first place?. Her skills were almost as impressive as his.
