Beth's past(III): Saviour

Dean ran towards the carriage and hid behind it as he has been discovered. He was fast as he had left the golden barrier zone.

"What's happening brother?"

"I thought I told you to be quiet"

"Okay" Beth answered as she went back to lie down in the carriage.

...

The hooded soldiers flew out of the building and looked around in confusion as they didn't see the boy that was in the building before.

They looked at each other and nodded as they all dispersed in all directions to search for him.

...

"Just one thing I told them and they couldn't do"

Roshan walked out of the building angrily as he remembered what just transpired and laughed.

Dean turned around and whispered for his sister.

"Beth, remember the promise that you made"

"Hm!" Beth nodded inside the carriage.

"No matter what, don't make a sound or come out of the carriage" he said seriously as he thought that he might not be able to save himself so he wanted to save Beth instead.

As he was about to run he hit his head on a hard surface and fell.

"Oww" he looked up to see a black hooded human that was staring at him angrily.

He stood up and tried to run but the man held his arms and looked at him.

"You better not try anything funny boy"

The man dragged Dean to Roshan and he struggled to get out of the man's hand.

"Ugh...let me go!" he shouted, but to no avail the man still pulled him to Roshan.

"Well well well, if it isn't Dean Edogar...the young prodigy of the shadow guard family"

Roshan smiled as he went towards the boy that was being held by the soldier.

"Ohh?.. Where's your sister little boy" he asked as he bent and looked at the boy.

"I don't know!" Dean answered as he wasn't going to let these people lay a finger on his sister.

'If only I was stronger' he thought as he would have probably took care of these guys by himself.

"Don't take me for a fool, I know your sister is with you....where...IS...SHE?"

Roshan punched the boy in his stomach which caused Dean to cough out blood as pain struck him.

"I don't know"

"Where is she?" he asked again as he punched Dean again.

"I don't know". Tears left Dean's eyes as he beared the pain that was being inflicted upon him.

As a young demon, his strength is very insignificant as he hasn't started training to be a soldier. In fact, His training was supposed to start five years from now.

Roshan punched and punched Dean till he was barely alive. He seemed like he was enjoying beating this little demon to death as he had a smile at his face.

*hmm*

His fist stopped as he suddenly heard a whimper from the carriage and he smiled as he left Dean and he fell on the ground.

"No!" Dean tried to stop them but he was weak and beaten up.

A soldier walked towards the almost dead Dean and decided to end his suffering as he stabbed and killed him.

Beth who have been watching this suddenly burst out into tears as she came out of the carriage and started running.

She didn't get anywhere as someone immediately held her neck and threw her at Roshan.

"Heeeh...haah ..mm..hmm"

Beth continued crying as she stared at her brother's body that was on the floor.

Her beautiful hair was all dusty and her beautiful red eyes were filled with pain and fear as she looked at her brother.

"I don't have time for this...deal with her quickly" Roshan said as he started walking away.

Beth continued crying on the floor as she crawled slowly to her brother.

A soldier followed her behind while he stretched out his blade ready to strike her down.

The human looked at the little demon girl with no pity as he swung his sword at her heartlessly, but before the sword could reach her...

*Clank*

The sword was knocked away by a red dagger that was impaled in the ground now. The force that the sword used was quite much and the soldier was shocked.

A white haired boy that was a little taller than Dean appeared and gave the human soldier an uppercut on his jaw and his head disconnected from his body and flew away.

Blood spurted out of the now dead soldier's body as it fell to the ground.

The others were quite shocked as they turned back and saw that one of their peers was dead.

All of the other humans charged at Vernox as they saw this with their weapons out.

'Who is this demon?' one of them asked himself as he didn't recognise Vernox.

**Meanwhile**

Vernox saw the incoming mob of humans and picked up his dagger as he charged towards them while he wore an angry expression.

The first one to come into his view slashed at him and he slid down and with skill, precision and speed he stabbed the human on the waist and jumped and slashed his head off.

'One down..umm.sssix more to go'

Vernox fought each of them and killed them one by one as his strength overwhelmed them.

Roshan which was at the corner noticed Vernox and looked in horror as the young prince killed his subordinates one by one.

"Fuck those guys!"

Roshan made a run for it as he didn't want to be caught by the demon king's adopted son who was said to possess a lot of physical strength for his age.

Vernox walked towards Beth who stopped crying when he came and stretched his hand towards her.

"Hello little girl, you're safe now!"

She shook her head as she said. "Bad man went that way" she pointed a specific direction where she saw Roshan run.

"Okay then, I'll be back" he took off with amazing speed towards the place that she pointed.

...

"I'll have to take care of that girl before she reveal my identity to the demon lord" Roshan said as he ran through the forest.

He soon started seeing light and ran faster as he was almost out of the forest.

Before he knew it a fist from nowhere punched his face and he couldn't help it but be knocked a few metres away.

He looked up in horror as he saw Vernox, the adopted prince of the demon Lord.

"My prince..I am..."

*Shuaah*

Vernox didn't bother to hear the blonde demon out as he slashed his throat with his red dagger.

"Hm?.." he snorted as he walked back inside the forest.
