IRIS'S POV.

Growing up in a castle can really be a pain in the ass. I wonder why it's so boring to be a princess.

Yet most girls dream of being one. If only they had any idea how unlucky it is to be a princess.

Take the early morning wake ups for example. I still don't understand why in the world I have to

wake up so early in the morning only to dress up

and stare at myself in the mirror because actually,I have no where to go or anything to do.

But mother insists that as a princess, you must get ready as early as possible.

Take the hidious gowns you have to wear all day too.

I remember once when I was little,I had asked mother why I have to wear these heavy,itchy gowns all day and she said it was a part of being a princess.

I had concluded right then that I didn't want to be a princess then. But she said,

"Iris, you don't choose to be a princess or not, you were born a princess and there's nothing you can do about it."

And though I had cried all day, no one had mercy on me to take off the itchy gown.

So dear, reader, when I say being a princess is a pain, please do sign with me for I know what I'm talking about.

The thrown was handed over to my great great grandfather by his father, and he passed it on to his son,my great grandfather,who passed it on to my grandfather,who passed it on to my father,who will also pass it on to my elder brother and on and on it goes.

When we talk about family,that is when my smile shines like the sun. Because being royal,did not prevent my mama and papa from being mama and papa to my brother and I.

Father has always been very attentive even though he has a lot to do as the king of Amelot.

He makes time for his prince and princess. He plays with us, talk with us, read us bedtime stories,take us on strolls, take us fishing,visiting friends,traveling on the sea and buys us a lot of

gifts.

In short, my father is so cool. He is the best dad in the world!!!.

Mother on the other hand is rather strict and a no nonsense type. She is playful most at times but she can really be a pain sometimes. All the same, she's also alright.

Now, let's talk about my brother, Prince Elise. He is my only brother and my best friend. Elise is the heir to the thrown of Amelot.

My brother and I have a very strong bond as brother and sister. He thought me everything I know. He's always protective and supportive. For my brother, you need to see for your self our relationship cos I can't even find the right words to describe it.

All I can say is, he loves me very very much to the extent that he'll willingly give his life for me. You doubt? Then let me tell you a very short story.

When I was six, I was put to sleep one afternoon by some maid. She lit the wall candles for I was afraid of the dark. On my waking up, I stumbled over the candle and it caught the curtains. Before I knew what was happening,the whole room was on fire. I squeaked in delight and run out for my room was so full of light now that I wouldn't have to be afraid of the dark anymore.

The maids who chanced upon it began to scream for help. My brother, thinking I was still sleeping in there,without thinking twice, rushed in the room in search of me. He has a scar to remember that day on his feet.

Now, do you believe it that my brother loves me so much?. Yea Elise loves me more than life itself.which is why I also love him so much in return.
