It’s A Dragon!

With one of its legs freed out of the white egg, it didn't take long for the creature to bust another hole open to get its other legs out. Showing two small white feet that had claws on the edge of them.

And when the feet come, so does its agility. Using the two legs that had come out of the shell while the rest of its body was still completely inside the egg, the two feet ran around the room with an even more incredible speed compared to before when it just rolled around inside the egg.

Seeing this, Calle decided to stop chasing it altogether and just let the two small feet decide their own fate. Whether it crashed onto a stone pillar while running at full speed and hurt itself or stumbled on its own two legs and fell headfirst into the ground, Calle would only pray for it. He was done playing chase with the hyperactive egg.

As if it could hear Calle's thoughts, and felt challenged by him, the egg started crashing onto the stone pillars around it and its two small feet stumbled onto each other, causing it to fall over, hitting the eggshell with the hard stone ground.

However, the eggshell was proven to be tougher than it looked as it took more than just a few crashes for cracks to start appearing on its white body.

The small cracks that appeared here and there widened further as the two feet moved more frantically, crashing into things more often as if it was intentionally doing it because it couldn't wait even a single more second to get out of the egg that was currently restricting the freedom of its body.

And after several more crashes, the egg finally got what it wanted. The abundance of cracks on the white eggshell finally couldn't keep the force that was keeping on pounding it from the outside, and it finally broke apart.

As the white egg completely shattered, it finally revealed the hyperactive creature that couldn't even stay still for a single second right after it got its own consciousness.

Calle looked at the creature with his eyes fully wide open. He had several guesses earlier about the creature that would hatch from the ordinary-looking white egg that he got, but never did he expect that what came out of the creature was neither a duck nor a chicken, nor the combination of both.

It was in fact, a dragon.

A western dragon with four legs and two wings on its back. The dragon was completely white except for its jet-black pupil and claws. It already looked majestic as it currently was, but it would've also looked more regal and dignified if not for its current size which was only slightly bigger than a fully grown chicken.

And even though its teeth and claws looked sharp, with its current size, the white dragon looked rather adorable rather than intimidating.

After the little dragon cleaned off the bits and remains of the egg that was sticking to its pure white scales, it finally looked around the small circular room and noticed Calle was standing some distance away from it.

Feeling the bonds that it had with Calle, the dragon's face lit up in excitement as it wagged its tail before kicking the ground as hard as it could while flapping both of its wings together, launching its body straight towards Calle.

Calle was too busy admiring the small mythological creature that he had never seen before that he failed to realize that the creature he was admiring already flew towards him as fast as a bolt of lightning.

Of course, with the dragon being as big as an adult chicken, Calle eventually noticed the dragon launching its body, aiming straight toward him. But with the speed that the dragon was currently flying in, there's no way for Calle to completely avoid an impact with the small dragon.

Realizing the situation he was currently in, Calle decided that he would just take it like a man and opened his arms wide, ready to receive the flying baby dragon with full force.

'It's a newly hatched baby dragon, how strong can it b-'

Calle's thoughts were abruptly cut off mid-way as he felt the force that hit his chest like a truck. He felt the air in his lungs forcefully pushed out as he gasped for air. His body was sent flying to the ground about 4 meters away from the place he was standing before. And be it because he was either protected by a god or his luck was very good today, Calle didn't hear a crack coming from his chest and he was able to breathe just fine after the huge impact.

And although Calle was sent flying and he was now sprawled on the ground with his belly facing up, the culprit who was responsible for doing it was currently innocently standing on top of Calle's chest with its four little feet, and its small head constantly rubbing against Calle's cheeks.

Calle layed on the ground absent-mindedly for a few seconds as he looked at the completely dark ceiling on top of the circular the room, wondering whether his future would be as bleak as the ceiling above him since the first moment together with his familiar apparently almost broke his ribs and potentially punctured his lungs, ending his life for real after he was just saved from being run over by a truck.

He wanted to stay in that position for a couple more seconds, but the constant rubbing he felt in his cheeks and the fact that the little creature was currently still standing on top of his chest, limiting his breathing, gave him a reason to wake up.

"Alright, alright, little guy, I like you too. But can you please move aside a little for now? I need to breathe here." He said while rubbing the little dragon's head with his hand.

As if understanding what Calle had told him, the little dragon tilted its head for a second before looking at where its four feet were currently standing, then it quickly jumped sideways to the ground, removing itself from Calle's chest.

The little white dragon then sat obediently beside Calle, resting its head on top of Calle's lap as it patiently waited for Calle to sit back up.
