Old friends.

It was break time. The whole class sat at the back of the canteen. Daehyun got bored, he didn't want to eat his bread. His friend Toni looked at him. 'You look sad. Somethings up?' Daehyun didn't reply. 'He must be in love.' Said Dave, another friend.

Daehyun thought about Mijoo. Did she always had that much pain, she would pass out? How many times did it happen after we met again? And how many until they met? Does she still faint? It's not easy being a girl.

After the break, it was PE. Daehyun is an ace when it comes to physical power. Everyone had their PE clothes on and stood in a row. Before the class starts, the teacher always talks for 30 minutes. So slow and boring. And finally they start off with running ten laps. Easy for Daehyun. While the others run the first lap. He sprints for the second lap. Most of the girls dropped at the sixth lap. Daehyun finished it with 15 laps. The teacher had to stop him, he was the only one still running around.

Once the class ends, they ran to the changing room. The next class is science. Everyone sat in a group of four people. They had to experiment and write a short report.

'You heard about the upcoming events between the classes. The four classes against each other. Who is going to bring in the most earned money?' Toni is the one that sits next to Daehyun.

'Yeah I know. We gotta come up with a plan. Some of you know what the reward is if we become number one?' Dave who sat next to Toni.

'We don't know yet. The challenge officially starts next week. Monday is when the teachers will explain the rules.' And next to Dave sat Era.

The team did their experiment and turned in their report. The other teams also finished. They left the classroom one by one. While walking through the long corridors Toni hopped to Daehyun and put his arm over Daehyun's shoulders. 'You know that since the beginning of the school year, you fought like honderd times with Dina. You like her?' Daehyun kicked Toni in the shin. Toni rolled over the floor. Dave laughed. 'What did that human sized balloon say?' Daehyun kicked him a couple of times while Toni was laying on floor. 'Nothing, just talking bs.' After a round of kicks. Daehyun helped Toni get up. 'Do I look like I have any interest in her. She is so annoying. Always picking up fights with me over small things. Never will I be interested in a girl like that.'

'You never know. Love is like an internet virus. It's suddenly there. No matter how hard you fight against it, it has already infiltrated.' Dave said in an amusing tone. 'You want to fight with me too? Without taking a break. I can probably beat you up for the next 5 hours, nonstop.' Daehyun said in a treating voice. Dave did a zip up, my lips are sealed, with his fingers. He locked it with a big chain and threw the key in Toni's mouth. 'I threw it in the black hole.'

It's now time to do self study. Daehyun was working on math, solving the problem one after another. It is so easy. 'What about the girls in the other classrooms? Someone litting up your candle?' Toni got bored with all the homework and dropped another question at Daehyun.

In all his high school years, he never had any girl that stole his heart. And even now, there was no one. He did think of Mijoo's sudden confession and that's it. 'No romantic feelings for nobody. Why, you do like someone? You keep asking me all this. I bet you got your eyes on some girl.'

Toni started to tick his finger on the desk. 'Well there is one girl. But it's from another class. Someone from the upper class.' Dave butted in. 'You do have a chance, my friend. With a female dog, yeah. Bro come on, with your looks. Nope. Even ants will run away.' Toni swung the pencil like a sword at Dave. He blocked it with a book.

'Boys in the back. Stop talking. You are disturbing the whole class. If you go on, than you can go further upstairs at the detention room. Understand it.' The teacher warned them. The boys answered in unison.

School was finished for today. The students ran out the main entrance. Some trying to catch the bus, some enjoying the freedom. It was a sunny day today. The sun beams felt great on Daehyun his face. So warm. He decided to walk home.

Now. Should he call Mijoo or not. He couldn't find any clues. Calling her to ask if she is doing well, why not. Or should I text her.

On the way home, he saw an empty bench near the park. He sat down and was thinking about a lot of things. A way they can go back. What Mijoo said about regret. Is that the question? If he accepts her feelings, will they succeed? He will try it out tomorrow. So no need to call Mijoo and give out a false hope.

Daehyun arrived at home. He dropped off his bag near his bed and climbed on it. While in deep thoughts, his little sister barged in. 'Brother, the test scores are out. I will be going to your school starting next school year. Isn't that great!' Daehyun remembered, around this time of the year her sister came and told her this. 'That's so good of you, Melis. Congratulations.' She got excited and made a deep bow like a princess in amusement. 'Yeyy.'
