4. Getting Settled in the house, New System Functions

Sunday morning Michael woke up at 5am. He looked around the room confused at first before remembering he had moved into his new house. Once he was out of bed he went to the kitchen and realized he forgot to buy groceries.

He took a quick shower, got dressed and drove to the grocery store to buy things he could stock the house with. He wasn't going to stock anything that could expire in the Kitchen on the first floor unless he had guests coming. He just purchased Coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and water to stock the first floor Refrigerator with as well as some canned goods. For his main living space he purchased fresh fruits and vegetables as well as salmon, chicken, Pork, Steak and Ham. He also purchased Diet Coke and Water to stock in his main living area.

Once he finished at the grocery store it was already 8am and he realized he didn't have long before the people arrived to setup his internet connection.

When he got home he quickly unloaded the groceries and put them in their place before he went back to the first floor to wait for them to arrive. He didn't wait long as once he sat down they knocked on the door.

He quickly greeted them and showed them to the areas they would need to work in to get everything setup. The house had a dedicated area for the Internet equipment on each floor so that it would be out of sight. All that had to be done was the first floor needed to be set up and the other floors routers could be easily set up by just plugging them in through the cords that lead to each of the floors designated areas.

Once the internet was setup Michael thanked the worker and offered him a drink before seeing him off.

Once Michael was alone again he realized there was actually very little security for the house and decided he needed to get a security system with cameras and alarms to ensure the safety of himself as well as the items he now owns. Unfortunately most of the stores that sold what he needed were closed today so he would have to wait until tomorrow.

Michael went back downstairs to his main living space and went to the office. He logged into the computer and connected it to the internet before logging in to each of the brokerage websites to check his stock portfolio as well as his bank.

He saw the balance of his bank account and realized he only had $359,000 left after buying the cars, renting the truck, buying the items for the house and everything else. He decided to invest this $359,000 as much as he could into different things.

Once he invested 5 more times and had $11.488million the system prompted him again.

[Detected the host has reached the limit for rebates on stocks at this time. Host will no longer receive rebates when purchasing stocks. New System Functions will no become available.]

Michael was disappointed at first because he was hoping to be able to just keep buying stocks and eventually own basically everything quickly by buying stocks non stop with the rebates. He soon was happy though as the system had new functions.

He looked at the system screen and saw a shop section. He clicked the shop section and it populated a page showing different options.

[System upgrades]

[Knowledge]

[Technology]

[*******(Host doesn't meet requirements for this or subsequent sections)]

He was happy to see the first 3 but when he saw the 4th one he was surprised as he didn't realize there were requirements to be able to use all the different functions of the system.

He first clicked into the system upgrades section of the shop and it loaded a screen showing different options.

[Transfer to computer: $50,000]

[Transfer to Smartwatch: $175,000]

[Transfer to Glasses: $1.5million]

[Implant chip into brain allowing access without phone or computer: $5million]

He quickly backed out of this section as it was to expensive for him for now, he didn't want to transfer it to the computer as it wasn't always with him, he didn't have a smartwatch, and the other 2 options were 10% of his wealth or more.

He clicked into the Knowledge section and it loaded a screen that seemed infinitely long. He scrolled through it and saw information about anything and everything he could think of, from how to clean yourself to advanced physics and other sciences. It also had knowledge about things he hadn't though of, or didn't think was possible before.

He backed out of the knowledge section as it was overwhelming to look at. He then went to the technology section.

This section had a lot of things as well but the first things that caught his eye were the Artificial Intelligence(AI), Quantum Computers, Quantum smartwatches, Aircraft, and Spacecraft.

He looked at their costs. The AI was the cheapest being $1.5Million, Quantum Computers and Quantum smartwatches were both $2.5million. The Aircraft varied in price depending on what kind it was. The Basic Aircraft was basically a house in the sky, the information about it said it could remain in the sky for an entire month before needing to refuel, it had beds, showers, office space, a safe, and anything else you would need to live for that amount of time, it cost $150million.

The most expensive one was listed as basically being a world class war plane, it had stealth technology that made it invisible to any form of detection, it had weapons that were beyond what were in existence on the planet with the ability to basically destroy entire countries with a single strike. It also had the ability to remain in the air indefinitely without having to refuel, only needing to land to resupply necessary items for the crew to live such as food and water. Its costs was $15trillion.

Spacecraft were in a similar price range and the cheapest one was basically the same as the cheapest regular aircraft, except it had the ability to travel in space and did not need to refuel either. Its cost was $500million.

The more expensive spacecraft was described as having the ability to both create and destroy entire solar systems, being able to terraform planets or completely erase them from existence. Its cost was hidden with a message saying that he did not have access to the currency required to purchase it.

Michael decided his best bet would be purchasing the Quantum computers and smartwatch, as well has buying the AI. It would cost him $6.5million total. He went back to the technology section and when he did he also found Solar Panels there. Solar Panels may not seem like much but according to the description of these it could generate enough electricity to power 30 houses twice the size of his. He decided to purchase it for the $500,000 it was listed for. Spending $7million total on all the items leaving him with $4.488million.

Once he confirmed the purchase the quantum computer replaced the computer in front of him, the smartwatch appeared on his wrist, and the solar panels appeared on the roof of his house and the AI was automatically installed to the computer and smartwatch.
