The Little Thing

It had been years since that incident. We had just recently moved to Dolphin Square after much pleading from Ethan and Mason. Since Ethan’s place was at the near edge of Dolphin Square, it was easy for him to visit us and vice versa. My family knew about the town long before we moved, and Ethan made sure to persuade my mother to not go too far from home. He even got the landlord talking to sell us the house next to his, but it was a stretch, and so, he gave up. Now I had my own little family here.

A rue smile made its way on my face as I faced the morning. The day was chilly. The clouds had hidden the sun and were doing a great job at making the weather moist. It was, mostly, with the courtesy of rain the whole night. It made me think back about the nightmare bestowed on me last night… or in the morning and, yet again, I was filled with unease. However, the major of my threat was the walk I had to go through to get to school.
