42 Chapter 41: Let loose.

Rigel was busy forging his armor, and he felt safe in the blacksmith's shop since they wouldn't expect him to be there. He also moved to a different area near the shop so he didn't have to travel far to avoid being caught while he was walking in the city.

The owner of the blacksmith looked at Rigel's craftmanship and smithing skills. He was amazed and surprised that it looked so easy for Rigel to shape the steel and sintered it. He was glad that he let Rigel use his coal forge because he could learn from him by just observing.

While Rigel was busy forging, he heard commotion from outside, he overheard that there was a dead body displayed in front of the Sacred Dungeon. Rigel thought it was Aria's doing or his men's, but when he heard that it was a woman from a Soaring Sun Guild, he immediately dropped his hammer and tongs. He had a bad feeling that it was Vania, so he hurriedly left the shop, wrapping the lower half of his face with a black cloth.

He walked among the crowd to the Sacred Dungeon, and when he arrived, he saw Vania with her face covered in stitches that it was barely recognizable. Her jaw was barely hanging, and she was hanging on a lamp pole, and at that moment he felt a sting in his chest. His heart was racing and blood was boiling on his scalp, but he couldn't do anything.

Everyone could tell that the woman was tortured before she died because of the wounds and scars all over her body. The worst part was that her body was only covered by the red cape with the Soaring Sun guild emblem. It was a provocation toward Rigel because whoever did it to her, knew that she helped him by lending him the armor and cape of the Soaring Sun guild.

"(You shouldn't have helped me)" Rigel furrowed his eyebrows and the guilt wouldn't leave him forever.

When Rigel was about to leave, he saw people on the roofs of the buildings around the Sacred Dungeon throwing papers down into the street. He grabbed one and he was shocked that his face was on it. The description about him was spot on because they got his age right, his height, the world he came from, and his eye colors. There was one thing that was missing, the picture had no name which could only mean one thing. Vania protected his name until she died, and she suffered a lot because of it.

On the back of the paper, it was a warning that wasn't pointed at Rigel, it was pointed at all the Players from Earth. They were responsible for finding him and they were also losing their rights to use all the facilities that the Player Association provided. Not only that, the Player Association encouraged Players who weren't from Earth to treat them badly until Players from Earth managed to find Rigel.

Lastly, there was a prize for those who managed to find Rigel or kill him. The reward was 500,000 gold coins, it would be enough to live in luxury for the rest of their lives. Rigel realized how rotten the Player Association was and those Players around him were excited about the reward.

Rigel removed the cloth that covered his face because he wanted them to recognize his face. He wanted to kill those Players around him, but the weirdest part was nobody even bothered to look at their surroundings. He casually walked away to go back to his inn to grab his weapons.

"Hey! That's him from the paper!" A man shouted as loud as he could to let everyone know.

Everyone looked at Rigel and it took them a while to make a move because they were thinking how dangerous he could be. After they realized he was unarmed, they didn't have to worry about dying because what could a Non-Player do without his weapon? They tried to reach his clothes, but they had just made a big mistake to gang up on him.

Rigel didn't move a muscle, but everyone was paralyzed and collapsed because of the lightning magic that he had cast on the ground. Dozens of Players hit the ground as Rigel created a small ball of extremely dense fireball on his right hand. The moment he clenched his fist and crushed the fireball, the explosion destroyed and flattened the buildings. No Players could survive that, and that explosion attracted those who were on the other side.

"I knew he would make a move," Madam smirked as she saw the sea of flames in the distance. "So easy to read," she unsheathed her daggers and jumped out of the window. She jumped from one building to another toward the sea of flames.

Madam was alone until she landed on the roof of another building where all the Fingers followed her from behind. When they arrived, they saw Rigel standing still, challenging anyone who dared to approach him.

"You must be joking right? Even the 9th Finger can't do something like this. He's indeed an interesting one," Madam scoffed and leaped toward Rigel.

Rigel didn't notice her at all, and the moment he noticed, she was only a meter away from him. He couldn't do anything at that moment, but then Aria came in with a dagger in his right hand that was about to stab Madam in the neck.

Madam managed to block it, but she got pushed away from Rigel. She was still wearing her heels, making it hard for the situation she was in. She removed them and walked on the steaming heat street that got heated up by Rigel's magic. She wasn't affected by the heat even though her legs were sizzling.

"I didn't know she was a friend. I could have saved her," Aria said to Rigel about Vania. "My condolences," he added and he was genuine with his words.

Rigel didn't say a word because he was carving the face of the woman who tortured Vania in his mind. Suddenly a strong chill wind hit him from above, it was a man with ice magic to extinguish the sea of flames. It was cold enough to freeze anyone to death, but Rigel was fine because of the fire in his body.

Madam with the 10 Fingers stood in front of Aria and Rigel, but the numbers changed the moment Aria's men showed up around them. It was 1 against 10, and yet Madam and her Fingers didn't get intimidated by the numbers.

An assassin approached Rigel and in his hands were Eclairswille and the Rapier. Rigel looked at them for a moment and grabbed them. Madam and the 10 Fingers could tell the Rapier belonged to Hien, and they wanted it back.

"You have to go to the 2nd floor. You're no longer safe here," Aria said as he kept an eye on Madam.

"Not yet, I still have some business to take care of," Rigel unsheathed Eclairswille, but he was walking the other way. "They killed her, and I'll kill everyone in this city. Hold them for a moment, I won't be long," he said with a cold expression.

"Do what you must. We will handle the situation here," Aria glanced at Rigel. He was right about Rigel's personality, something that he had seen a long time ago, someone that had no mercy in their heart.

Rigel lit Eclairswille with flame and created sparks of lightning on the Rapier. He left to hunt anyone that he saw no matter who they were or if it was a man or a woman. He had decided to let loose because he would lose nothing and gain a lot from it.

"We have never met before, haven't we?" Madam looked at Aria. "The infamous Night Terror. You're on my death list, and I believe mine is also on your list," she raised her eyebrows and played with her daggers.

"Dead people shouldn't speak," Aria said and disappeared.

Aria appeared right in front of Madam with a dagger ready to stab Madam's right eye. Madam smirked and grabbed the dagger with her right hand, an inch before it could hit her eye. She shoved her dagger in her left hand at Aria's neck, but Aria's left hand grabbed her hand.

"Huh, a cheap trick," Madam scoffed and saw Aria's dagger had been coated with poison. "Unfortunately, poison won't work against me," she pushed Aria away and threw a kick before Aria could recover.

Aria disappeared before Madam's foot could hit him, and then 3 assassins appeared around Madam. She reappeared but found the 3 assassins lying on the ground with their guts coming out of their stomachs. Madam cut their stomachs before they could land an attack on her.

"These guys aren't on my death list, but they asked for it," Madam smirked as she swung her daggers to get rid of the blood on the blades. "I would love to add more of them to my list," she readied her stance.
