Eight months later
My first Heavenly tribulation is soon, during the last eight months I worked on wisdom path since it will be far too helpful for my next project, I am still not a master level, but it shouldn't be long. And here it comes, the tribulation start forming as a Desolate beast from the refinement path looking like Torkoal from Pokemon but bigger. It spawns on the last free plains where I didn't have arrangement so it's all good for me. I kill it easily with an overpowered Space-Time Slash killer move. It dies and the turtle shell create something akin to a volcano but with a vast majority of refinement path Dao marks. Seeing how easy it was to kill I decide to only concentrate on research for the next seven year when I will pass my last Heavenly tribulation before Rank 7.
Seven years later
During those seven years apart from taking missions and visiting my wife I only focus on research, I had a breakthrough in many ways first I became master level in Heaven path and Wisdom path a Grandmaster in Rule path. I also create many Gu recipes in multiple paths but the most important were Human, Heaven, Space-Time, Space, Time, and Rule paths. And even refine two immortal Gu, Rank 6 Ancestor Immortal Gu a human path Immortal Gu that let the user subtly control human weaker and younger than him, the higher the age difference the greater the effect, I of course use it alongside Amplify Effect Gu and my special ability to make it a passive. And Space-Time Thought Gu, a Space-Time Immortal Gu imitating Wisdom path, it lets me create an enormous amount of Space-Time thought, these thoughts have the particularity of being able to randomly Space-Time travel, that means I can randomly receive related Space-Time thought from the future. It's completely broken because you often lack the inspiration or an idea to breakthrough in a project, but with this Gu I can receive a related thought from the future that may or may not contain a clue to my problem. At Rank 6 I only receive one thought every hundred thousand and my Gu only create around ten thousand thoughts even if the ratio is low, it is still broken as f*ck.
With that I am ready to become a Rank 7 Gu immortal, I let down my Blessed land on the ground and start preparing to overcome the Heavenly tribulation. I start by using my Space-Time Thought Gu along with Amplify Effect Gu to create close to a hundred thousand thoughts and watch how the Heaven and Earth Qi start taking the form of a gigantic red eye full of Rule path Dao marks, if I remember correctly it's one of the Ten great catastrophes mentioned on the original work, it was said that if you kill it drop blood serving as an immortal materials. Seeing that it has a Rank 7 aura it means I will be able to use it for my Amplify Effect rank up. It took me a bit of time to kill it since it was by far the strongest entity I met till now. I manage to push it above the Rule path plains to make the most of the Rule path Dao marks that will drop at its death. After resolving that problem, I can feel my blessed land and origin core sublimating, advancing to the next level, the essence bead create became red date in size and colour.
After that joyous moment I start planning the important things to do, first I obviously need to upgrade my Gu notably my natal Gu and Amplify Effect Gu since I basically already prepare for it even if I need to change the Amplify Effect recipe to make use of my newly acquired Rank 7 Rule Eye blood.
It took me four months to refine the Rank 7 Eternal Space-Time Immortal Gu, an interesting fact about the Rank 7 version is that the Gu is now strong enough to feed on Space-Time and deduce the new recipe for my Rule path Immortal Gu. And another eight to refine the Amplify Effect to Rank 7. Letting me become a powerhouse among Rank 7 Gu immortal.
I also create a new killer move, a significant one since it allows me to remove Heaven's Will from everything it targets, it uses basically every one of my immortal Gu along with many Heaven and Human path mortal Gus. With that I don't need to fear failing a refinement because Heaven's Will was in the materials.
The next two years before my first Grand tribulation, even if I don't think it will be a real challenge I decide to go hunting, I am particularly interested in Gu immortal death and the land spirit creation along with the Myriad Head Coiling Dragon a weak immemorial beast of the formation path.
It wasn't too hard to find a Rank 6 Gu immortal from a featherman tribe that flew without care in the wind, so after a quick kill Ming You would be proud of, I start observing all the step of a land spirit formation. It greatly contributes to my knowledge on heaven path, after that I enter the Blessed land and meet with a mid-grade bless land when a humanoid big bird start flying in my direction, it gives me the condition to become the owner of the blessed being to kill the merman responsible for his death. Obviously, I didn't kill myself but just use a human path killer move restraining the land spirit allowing me to experiment on it before killing it and observing the effect on the blessed land. Unfortunately, the Land Spirit didn't have time to destroy the blessed land so no studying the wind of assimilation today, so I only took some of the cloud path resource points since my sky is vast and empty. I continue exploring the Eastern Sea hopping to find some earth veins in those big islands where I could find the beast I am looking for.
