Chapter 2553

Sure enough, when the dust settled, a gorgeous beauty could be seen lying, motionlessly, on the ground, 

"NOOOOO!"

Heaven had no time for thoughts, his eyes had turned red.

Hobbling over to the body, he lost all hope of saving her. 

A gaping hole tore through half her abdomen, on the left side, which she used to throw Heaven to the ground. 

She hadn't a single pulse, the body had 0 signs of life. 

"親愛な" Heaven spoke her name in a language only he and Earth understood, "I shouldn't have sealed you away, I should have been honest with you, I wanted you not to be chained up by Mortals, I saw you begin to love them, and…I was scared…" 

Standing cliffside, 

Two ethereal women stood side by side, each a beauty in their way. 

On the left was a woman cut out from the night sky, a glorious and beautiful tapestry woven, from the fabric of night, and adorned in starlight. 

On the right was an earthly homely woman, one whose looks did not turn heads and cause nations to tremble, but whose smile would radiate warmth, and light hope in the hearts of others. 

It was Star Constellation and Earth. 

"Wow," Star Constellation spoke to Earth, "It seems the fusion between Wratn and Heaven has caused him to be more regretful." 

She threw a knowing glance at Earth. 

"So what," Earth snorted, "I'm over it, 3 Billion years of watching my children suffer under his cruel indifference…this little bit of suffering is nothing much, he'll come to realise his stupidity sooner or later." 

Though she spoke harshly, Star Constellation could read between the lines, the pauses, and the intonations of Earth's voice. 

"She's not over him," Star Constellation thought to herself, "I can use this."

As the two women continued observing,

Heaven was still lost in grief. 

"I…Won't…Forgive…Anyone!" he suddenly roared out, his grief had been processed into Rage! 

He channelled that Rage into more Dao Marks, boosting his strength immensely. 

Heaven leapt into battle, the bulging mass of muscles, charging toward a literal behemoth. 

"Puny." Sloth raised his hand, Heaven assumed it was in an attempt to swat at him, so he rolled to the side, avoiding the tremors that the hand had created. 

But as Heaven used the foliage to hide, he noticed that Sloth wasn't making furious swatting motions, "What is he-" 

Heaven's words died on his lips for as fast as he had charged forward, he was even faster running back! 

"Down." Sloth's hand had reached to the tip of his towering head, even whilst sitting he was still taller than a mountain, no sooner did his hand reach the zenith, did it then come careening down! 

No force was added, just the sheer weight and gravity caused the hand to collapse straight down! 

The speed at which it fell generated so much friction that air was turning into plasma! 

And at the moment of impact with the ground…

*RUMBLE* *RUMBLE* 

Shockwaves traversed throughout the entire Western Desert, 

Any building that was not in the air, was knocked down to its foundations, birds in the sky were not exempted either, shaken to their very core, as the vibrations carried such immense strength they could affect even the air! 

All land-dwelling creatures were knocked off their feet, their butts bumping up and down the waves of tremors spreading throughout the land. 

The only ones barely affected were those who dwelt in bodies of water, not those swimming at the surface, but deep beneath the waves, where they could feel the tremors but were under no direct harm. 

Mostly, because such creatures were few to none in the entire Western Desert. 

"This is problematic," Star Constellation scratched her chin, "The Dao of Sin revolves around Negative Emotions and Dao Marks." 

"Wrath burns Dao Marks, Envy copies Dao Mark composition, Greed transforms anything into Dao Marks of any kind, Gluttony takes the Dao Marks of those it consumes." (1)

"The only 3 I don't know are Lust, Pride and Sloth. But knowing the nature of the Sin, I can make deductions and Sloth was the easiest." 

Star Constellation sighed, "He turns Time into Dao Marks, the more Time he doesn't use, the more Dao Marks he possesses, and from what I know he should only have 100,000 years worth of Time." 

"Not quite," a tired male voice spoke aloud from behind the two gorgeous women, "He isn't converting Time, he's storing it." 

It was Red Lotus! 

Between the multiple battles with Daoist Countless Treasure, Envy and Reputation Gu, he was beyond exhausted. 

A short rest was hardly enough time. 

"Did you complete the task?" Star Constellation's smile was a precious heavenly encounter…to anyone else, to Red Lotus, it was like a tyrant boss who lacked the words 'rest' and 'quit' in their vocabulary.

"If you mean sealing Greed and Envy here," he tossed her two crystal-like spheres. 

After Lust took Reputation Gu and left, Daoist Countless Treasure and Envy were like candies in a baby's hand, it took Red Lotus next to no effort to destroy what was left of the Armada and capture both Envy and Greed. 

The nature users of the Sin series of Gu were more of a Half-Human, Half-Gu hybrid, they no longer had the problems of Human lifespan and were still able to produce Immortal Gu. 

But they no longer encountered Tribulations and they could not devour and assimilate other Blessed Lands and Grotto Heavens. 

This capped their growth to whatever Rank their Sin Gu could reach, and all of them had reached the peak of Rank 8 and could not advance any further. 

Even though they could keep accumulating power, to the point where they were comparable, if not stronger than their Venerable counterparts, it was not true strength. 

One of the methods that would work, eventually, would be to waste Sloth's supply of Dao Marks, for every action Sloth takes is Time being used, and hence every second he is doing something he loses strength. 

"Unfortunately, the bastard's so big it would cost an insane amount of resources just to put a Time Flow Formation down around him, much less keep him in it for more than a couple of minutes." 

This was one of the plans Star Constellation devised after deducing Sloth, she had tasked Red Lotus on its viability, to disappointing results. 

"He's reached the limit where quantity, is making a qualitative change toward quality." 

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Earth's head, "I got it!" 

Slight adjustment, Greed is more likely alchemy and its concept of transmutation, in an earlier chapter I said "Greed can turn Immortal Essence into Dao Marks" which is not entirely right, and I also said, " Envy can absorb Dao Marks." Which is also not accurate, she can copy their composition.
