Chapter 2541

"Be honored! The Sin Of Envy graces you with her presence." she held her left hands to her chest stretched her right hand out for all to see. 

Limitless turned away from his task for a split second to shout, "Be careful around Envy! She's incredibly troublesome." 

"Yea, thanks for taking precious time out of your focus to tell us that," Red Lotus scoffed, "Couldn't figure that out without your help." 

Red Lotus turned to Star Constellation, "Have you managed to gleam anything about Envy yet?" 

Star Constellation's eyes were swirling with stars and galaxies, almost nothing under the Heavens escaped her detection, "Impossible!" 

"What?" Red Lotus asked shocked by Star Constellation's expression. 

Star Constellation replied sternly, "She's blocking off my deduction about her."

This was a huge blow to Red Lotus, for Star Constellation to be able to block Star Constellation as she was now was a tremmenddously difficult.

One had to achieve either a superior understanding of Wisdom Path or be as strong as Fang Yuan, both were not something that Red Lotus desired to face against. 

"Calm down Red Lotus," Star Constellation could tell the anxiety rising within him, "There's several things that I did managed to deduce, and there's several hypothesis I would like to confirm." 

"Do as I say, and we'll take it from there." 

Red Lotus replied with a nod. 

Meanwhile, 

The battle between Qing Chou, Spectral Soul, Heaven and Earth had reached a stalemate.

Qing Chou's power seemed to wane over time, he seemed to be regaining his sanity as his anger was no longer driven by Spectral Soul. 

"Who am I fighting? Why am I fighting?" these thoughts muddled his head, coupled with his inexperienced left many gaps that Heaven exploited, yet each non-fatal hit he recived only enraged him making him stronger. 

Heaven jumped away from another unsuccessful attack.

"Damnit!" Heaven tsked, "He's tougher than most Rank 9 Gu Houses, hits harder, moves faster, and can get stronger the longer I fight him." 

"If it wasn't for his lack of brain power I would be toast!" 

Heaven had tried to employ a strategy of hit and run, he noticed that whenever he dodged for prolong periods of time, Qing Chou's rage would start to fade, and his true consciousness and intelligence would begin to awaken.

Testing his theory, he led Qing Choud further away from Spectral Soul and let him rampage around to wear off his rage, but whenever he gets too far from Limitless, his instincts always bring him back, angry! 

This costed Heaven some more time as he figured out where the limits of Qing Chou's range was, then it was a battle of attrition, to wait out Qing Chou's rage, but whenever Qing Chou manages to return to speaking levels of intelligence…

"I've been dodging for 5 minutes now, he should return to basic intelligence in 3, 2, now!" Heaven stopped moving and at that exact moment Qing Chou's actions paused. 

Heaven, instantly took advantage of the opportunity and leapt into action,

Qing Chou's rage had been depleted and his power begin diminishing and just as he was approaching the strength at which Heaven could kill him in one hit.

"SPECTRAL SOUL!" Qing Chou's rage flared up to the brightest it had been in a long while, the surge in power repelled Heaven as Qing Chou made a beeline for Spectral Soul and Earth. 

"Shit!" Heaven cursed as he darted in their direction, begin the process all over again. 

Earth wasn't having much luck either, "Damnit!" 

Spectral Soul was creating tendrils of sand to attack Earth from a range.

Each tendril he made was comprised of heavily condensed Sand Dao Marks.

"He's literally consuming the Dao Marks of the entire Western Desert, at the rate he's going he'll possess enough power to rival a Saint!" Earth gritted her teeth as hundred of thousands of Earth tendrils barreled towards her. 

Suddenly, the ground began to shake,

Earth turned in the direction of the quake.

A look of deep annoyance covered her face, "Damnit Heaven! Can't you do anything right?!?!?" 

It was Qing Chou, with Heaven close behind, charging toward their position.

The roaring Qing Chou drew the attention of Envy and Daoist Countless Treasures.

"I see Rage and Gluttony Gu have overwhelmed their hosts and are acting on primal instincts." 

Doaist Countless Treasure nodded, "They possess the fastest growth but there hasn't been a single Gu Immortal alive to have been able to control the urges of Wrath nor Gluttony or even…Pride" 

They both cast their gazes at Limitless, who for a split second turned and smiled back, before resuming his creation of the Chaos Spear.

A shiver ran down their spines, 

"To think we would actually see the day where someone managed to tame Pride Gu…it's unfathomable." Envy turned serious for the first time since she arrived.

"Agreed," Daoist Countless Treasure nodded, "There have been hosts who managed to at least stay somewhat sane whilst using Gluttony or Wrath but never Pride." 

Just then a bright blue blade appeared out of thin air just between the neck of Daoist Countless Treasure 

But just as it was aboutu decapitate him once again, 

Evny reached out her thumb and middle fingers, pinching it from the back, and stopping it in its tracks! 

"My my," the blade made of pure Time was quivering under her pressure, "Even though you're at half strength, you're still able to catch me off guard." 

Envy gripped the rest of her fingers around the blade, shattering it. 

"Now, that's strength that I truly Envy." she turned to face Red Lotus directly, her eyes were like snakes, wide slits staring into soul, like a predator eyeing its prey. 

At that moment, Red Lotus felt his strength being sapped away.

"Star Constellation you were right," he said, "She's able to absorb the Dao Marks of her target!" 

There was slight panic in his voice, that iddn't escape the detection of the other two. 

"I see," Star Constellation scratched her chin, "It would seem that the Sin series of Gu all revolve around Gu Marks." 

Daoist Countless Treasure and Envy frowned upon hearing Star Constellation's deduction.

"Gluttony can devour and assimilate Dao Marks, Rage can burn Dao Marks in exchange for strength, Greed is able to turn Immortal Essence into Dao Marks, and Envy is able to absorb Dao Marks." 

"Thus, I can finally conclude that the 7 wielder of the 7 sins are neither Human nor Gu, but rather and amalgamation or combination of the two."

This was a secret that the 7 sins had kept for nearly a millenia, and it was the first time someone outside of them knew the truth!

The 7 sins were ancient existances that had lived far than even most Venerables, this was because they had abandoned their mortality and fused with their Gus. 

Through not being fully Gu nor Fully Human, they retain the benefits of both, they lose the natural lifespan of mortal humans, in exchange for being made of Dao Marks, they retain an aperture that produces Dao Marks. 

However, there are some drawbacks, namely the need to feed on very specific things like normal Gu, and the inability to cross the threshold between Rank 8 and 9. 

Envy smirked, "Seems like I shouldn't have been Envyious of his strength but your Wisdom!" 

At that moment, Star constellation could feel the Wisdom Dao Marks leaching off her. 

Envy had a carzed euphoric face as the Wisdom Dao Marks flowed into her, but Star Constellation just stood there, unfazed.

"Something's not right!" Envy snapped out of the pleasure to assess the situation, "She should be showing some signs of panic like Red Lotus."

When Envy turned to Red Lotus she saw him reveal a smirk. 

He had been feigning fear the entire time! 

Suddenly, Envy clutched her head in pain! 

"Argh!!!!"

Daoist Countless Treasure came to her side, "What's wrong!?" 

Without an answer Envy struck Daoist Countless Treasure in the sternum, causing to keel over and die. 

"Hmph," Star Constellation scoffed, "Taking my Dao Marks without having any of the attainment behind them is the cause of your undoing." 

"I devised this Killer Move the moment I realized you possed and enormous amount of Dao Marks, more than any reasonable person that is not Fang Yuan should be able to hold." 

"My guess was that you possess the ability to absorb Dao Marks from people, but that you did not possess any attainments in the Paths you took, because my deduction methods were all just crudely blocked by your sheer number of Dao Marks." 

"So from that information I devised a trap for you, I created a Killer Move that would infect my Dao Marks with my Will, and once they assimilated into you, would begin taking over all the Wisdom Path Dao Marks in your body, turning your very mind into mine!"

Envy was now seizing on the floor, still clutching her head, trying to fight off Star Constellation's invasion. 

"Just surrender, you have no tactics nor skill you only leech off the hardwork of others, become a puppet for good." 

Just as Star Constellation was about to gain full control of Envy, 

"Wow those were some harsh words, though I've always told this slacker that one day this will bite her in the ass." 

Just then, the General Gu House Envy and Daoist Countless Treasure was in exploded! 

This caught Red Lotus by surprise, but Star Constellation wasn't looking at the exploded Gu House, but rather the General Gu House where the voice originated from. 

Standing on it's ledge was non other than Daoist Countless Treasure!

"*Cough* *Cough* Damnit! I'm going to kill that bitch!" wiping the saliva off her mouth, Envy was standing perfectly fine next to him as well! 

"So it seems the true purpose behind the Armada is to provide protection to revive the 7 sins when they die, since they are Half Gu and made of Dao Marks, they can be revived using your Sin of Greed to recreate them isn't that right."

Star Constellation had figured out one of their greatest trump card! 

"That's right! And I warn you, the others are on their way, and they are much stronger than us!" Envy said with her tongue sticking out and her middle finger pulling down her right eyelid.
