Chapter 2535

"Introducing the Sin of Greed; Daoist Countless Treasure!"

Standing tall with a head full of…shine…was Daoist Countless Treasure.

Though his head wasn't the only beacon of light, he was clothed from head to toe in the most extravagant gaudy and tacky outfit one could imagine.

Where most people would try to hide their wealth, Daoist Countless Treasure openly flaunted it! 

The least precious thing on his was the base material used to sew his clothes, Rank 8 Heavy Gold Silk.

It was a precious resource that came from Heavy Gold Worms who only produced 1 thread every 10 years and they must be fed a constant stream of Metal Path Gus to produce this 1 thread.

In the entire Gu World, there is only ever enough to reinforce maybe a chest-plate or 2, but to weave together an entire robe made of Heavy Gold Silk, and then embed countless Rank 8 Gems, and even Gu was on a whole another level of extravagant. 

The only other person rich enough to do this would be a Venerable at the height of their powers. 

"Hmm?" Daoist Countless Treasure looked around, "I don't see Wrath or Gluttony yet, guess they are further away and hence take a longer time to connect their gates oh well I might as well look for Pride first, maybe I'll even get to sneak the kill."

Glancing down at the ensemble of people that were gathered Daoist Countless Treasure's mouth gaped open.

"Waitwaitwaitwaitwait, hold up, no one said anything about Venerables, much less 3!" He wanted to rip his hair out…if he had any, "This is so not the fight I wanted to pick." 

Spectral Soul, Sin of Gluttony and Qing Chou, Sin of Wrath soon emerged as well. 

They were more bestial and didn't take time to contemplate nor hesitate, instantly charging at the perceived threat.

"Sigh," Daoist Countless Treasure sighed, "At least I have 2 meat shields, but still…" 

Daoist Countless Treasure was still contemplating the situation in mid-air. 

"Hmph! How powerful can they be, no matter how strong the Dao of Sin is they are still capped at Rank 8 it should be a piece of cake to-" Giant Sun's words were cut short while the others immediately started dodging in anticipation of Spectral Soul's 1000 Water Arm attack.

Everyone was shocked.

"Idiot!" Star Constellation shouted, "Spectral Soul is already on our level, and Qing Chou managed to go toe to toe with him, stop trying to use Ranks to determine someone's strength!" 

Giant Sun grunted in agreement as he was somersaulting through the air, trying to find his balance, dodging the onslaught of arms raining down on him. 

Daoist Countless Treasure rubbed his chin, "I didn't expect that…maybe we can win."

He took out a glowing orb and made a few gestures on it.

"Well," Giant Sun said as he was dodging the tendrils made of compressed water, "The good news is that he's in the desert which has virtually no Water Path Dao Marks, so every attack should weaken him!" 

Indeed, just as Giant Sun predicted, the flurry of Water Arm strikes decreased until they eventually stopped, the bad news was that he could not predict that Gluttony could easily switch targets and soon Spectral Soul took the form of a giant made of Sand.

Sand was constantly drawn in as his form grew bigger and bigger. 

Everyone glared daggers at Giant Sun, who sheepishly looked away.

"Well…at least now things couldn't possibly get any worse." 

Instantly, the others face palmed and wished they could deal with Giant Sun instead of Qing Chou and Spectral Soul

"Now this is promising," Daoist Countless Treasure was pleasantly surprised, "We may have a shot of getting rid of all our problems…alright what the heck, I'm nothing if not a gambler." 

A devious grin appeared on his face, pearly white teeth glistened as brightly as his head. 

Punching a few runes on his glowing orb, resulted in a message being forwarded to the other recipients

"Operation Lion is a go, I repeat operation is a go!" 

At that very moment, 

5 Orbs pulsed with the Green light of Greed along with the message, 

"Operation Lion is a go!" 

"Yawn," in one corner of the Southern Border, a loud yawn could be felt throughout the land as its rumble nearly reduced cities to dust, "Is it finally time?" 

The man picked up his orb to obtain the details surrounding the circumstances, his orb was pulsing Green because Greed was the one sending the info, and his orb's base colour was a mellow blue, indicative of the sin of Sloth! 

There was however another difference between, Sloth's orb and Greed's, where greed's Orb would fit in the palm of a normal person's hands, Sloth's orb was the size of a small house! 

"Hoh? It seems I didn't wake up for nothing. Greed managed to find Pride." Sloth stretched his back, producing a popping sound that scared all the residents of the Southern Border who mistook it for an earthquake. 

"Luckily the Eastern Desert isn't too far and I may be able to join in in time. Though the others will probably get there before me…is there any point in going then?" Sloth sat back down on his bed, carved out from his mountainous lair. 

His mattress was a Rank 8 Gu House! 

As if answering his question, the Green blinks flashed faster, indicating an urgent message. 

Reluctantly, Sloth looked at the message, while sipping from a mug that would easily contain a small ocean. 

*PTUI!* 

Just as fast as the water went in, it came out, hurlling a jet stream strong enough to cut into the walls of his house.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" he roared and the southern border cowered in fear, "5 Venerables! And to top it off Pride is bonded to the resurrected Limitless!? Does he want to send us on a suicide mission!" 

Several other colors blinked in response to Greed's prompt as well, indicating their displeasure and confusion. 

"Hear me out guys," Greed actvivated the video call function, his face appearing above all their Orbs, "We only need to take out Limitless who is busy creating some sort of weapon and can't reatliate and check this out."

Greed showed the onslaught that Spectral Soul and Qing Chou were causing, and the Venerables having a hard time countering back. 

"We only need to go in and snipe the kill whilst those two keep everyone else busy, unfortunately I've already exposed myself but I can definitely stall for more time if I help those 2 whilst you guys ambush Pride!" 

Deep conetmplation befall the call.

"Come on guys…this is the once in millenia chance we were all waiting for, I wouldn't share this info with you if I knew I had no chance on my own." 

Deep sighs filled the call.

"I'm in."

"Me too."

"I as well."

The last to respond was Sloth, "This tantamount to suicide and ordinaraily I wouldn't join, but…with the state of the world I doubt we will have a better chance than this." 

Greed's lips curled into a smile that shined more light than his head, for his teeth was studded with jewels, "Alright! The 7 Deadly Sins are having a reunion!"
