Chapter 2495 Heaven Descends

The air turned deathly still…for a second as howling winds began kicking up storms, the earth began tearing itself apart, molten lava emerged from the cavernous gaps in the ground, and the temperature was so hot that water itself began vaporizing and condensing into plasma!

Light and Dark kept pulsating and turning, switching between themselves, the elements of the world had seemingly turned their backs on harmony and focused on utter destruction!

The 3 Venerables stared daggers at Fang Yuan.

The power of Dao burst forth from Ying Guang Xin's body, and the power collided with the ominous black cloud, successfully isolating it.

Star Constellation, Genesis and Red Lotus didn't stand idly by either, Red Lotus immediately began suppressing the hurricane of natural elements converging on the ominous cloud's location.

While Genesi Lotus began to tap into the very strength of the Central Continent itself, trying to forcefully seize control of the Elements.

"What did Fang Yuan do!?!? The Elements are going completely out of control!"

Star Constellation was too busy trying to find the weak points in Fang Yuan's Dao Killer Move.

"Giant Sun!" Star Constellation yelled, "Aren't you going to do something? This move threatens your kin as well!"

Star Constellation could only afford that brief respite at Giant Sun, as a momentary lapse in her deduction nearly caused the Killer Move to go haywire.

Giant Sun looked towards Star Constellation, then towards Fang Yuan.

The latter was still busy separating Light Gu from Light Emperor.

Giant Sun faced a great internal dilemma, "Do I pick Fang Yuan even though he betrayed me? Or do I pick Star Constellation even though she can't be trusted!?"

"Screw it!" Giant Sun shouted.

Dao Killer Move ---------------- At The End Of Suffering Comes Relief!

Golden light descended down from the Heavens, illuminating the whole battlefield as it poured onto Giant Sun, encasing him in a glistening golden hue.

But at the moment Giant Sun's golden radiance surged into the Central Continent, luck began to smile upon them.

Far from the epicentre of Heavenly Court, a group of young Gu Immortals were running desperately for their lives.

"*Huff* *Huff*" the sound of heavy panting was all one could hear.

"Shit! We're just newly advanced Lone Gu Immortals why did we even bother coming here!" one of the members groaned.

"Shut up and focus on your movement Killer Move if you want to live!" their leader said, "We lack even a single Rank 6 Gu and there are no Rank 8s to protect us, we're almost no different from those Mortals who died just from looking at that Killer Move."

They could feel the chilling aura of the Dao Killer Move still spreading out from the epicentre, slowly catching up to them.

As newly advanced Gu Immortals they had little Immortal Essence to use and were furiously using it to bring out their absolute fastest speed.

Suddenly,

"Ah," one of the female member of the group tripped, she was out of both Immortal Essence and stamina.

"Lina!" the leader turned around, but the other male member grab him by the shoulder and nudged him on, "There's nothing you can do just keep running Clyde!"

"Listen to Tristen!" Lina shouted, "Live on."

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she mouthed the words, "I. Love. You."

But Clyde didn't listen and ran back towards her at twice the speed, almost as if certain death was not what awaited him.

He dove into her arms and they both shared their last moments in a tender embrace.

"I love you too,"

As the invisible wave washed over them, its powers ravaging their bodies, they both remarked at the surprisingly warm feeling washing over them.

"Is death supposed to be so gentle?" they thought.

Wearily they opened their eyes in disbelief, the chaotic energy had stopped mere inches from their position, a warm golden glow encasing it.

"Is this a miracle or a dream?" the coupled continued to hold each other in an embrace, their fingers intertwined when they suddenly felt movement between their palms.

"Eh?" they opened their palms to find a Gu split in two, and as soon as it was free half dove into them respectively.

At first, they panicked but they realised they became able to sense each other and even communicate using their thoughts, the astonishing thing was that their apertures were somehow merged together!

They possessed mid-grade apertures at first but now their combined land mass was equivalent to a high-grade aperture!

"What kind of Gu was that?" they thought.

It would be years before they found out that they were the new recipients of the newborn Love Gu, but that's a story for another time.

Giant Sun's Killer Move helped everyone, regardless of friend or even foe.

The golden light gathered around Light Emperor and Hei Hou Lan, teleporting them to Giant Sun's side, but it also gathered onto Fang Yuan.

"Hmm?" Fang Yuan could of course have forced Light Emperor to stay but he didn't because the golden light brought him what he desired.

Rank 9 Light Gu!

"Finally…" Fang Yuan held the Gu in his hands beaming with joy, "Everything will soon fall into place."

Fang Yuan clasped his hands, "I bid you adieu, good luck with the hunt and remember our deal."

Just as he was about to fly away, "Oh and head's up."

With that he took off, leaving Giant Sun, Genesis Lotus, Red Lotus, Earth and Star Constellation to wrap up this mess.

"That damn Fang Yuan," Genesis Lotus cursed, "But what did he mean by heads up?"

Star Constellation and Earth were puzzled until they sensed it, "HEADS UP!"

Both women took action,

Earth used the power of Dao to conjure a protective shield while Star Constellation instantly caught Genesis Lotus and Red Lotus up to speed with a mind link.

The two added their best protective barriers as well.

Giant Sun was the only one kept out of the lurch when he suddenly sensed it as well.

Descending from the skies of Spectral Heaven, an enormous mass began crashing down toward the Central Continent.

"EARTH!!!!"

Earth grimaced, "Damn, it's my ex-husband."
