Chapter 2450 Great Dream Vs Fang Yuan

"I wonder how strong the Pure Dream Reality Physique of Great Dream Immortal Venerable will be?"

Star Constellation was about to get the answer to her question.

After sizing each other up, Fang Yuan and Great Dream duked it out.

Fang Yuan bombarded Great Dream with a tirade of Killer Moves, but Great Dream created a Dream Realm, which intercepted all the Killer Moves.

"This is annoying," Fang Yuan lamented: "Dream Path has a natural protection against all Paths, it even erodes them."

Fang Yuan was ahead in Dream Path, but only compared against the rest of the world, to compete with Great Dream, even if it was only a few memories, was not feasible.

"My only advantage is that she lacks Dream Path," Fang Yuan's words were choked when Great Dream began bombarding him back, but this time with Dream Path moves:

"Gu, haizzz." Fang Yuan was having a headache.

Immortal Killer Move --------- Insomnia.

This was a Dark Path, Dream Path, and Wisdom Path compound Killer Move.

It produced a ton of thoughts that prevented the user from falling asleep.

Coupled with Dream Armor Gu, the Dream Path Moves swept past Fang Yuan, with little effects.

"Oh?" Great Dream seemed amused: "You do have some mastery over Dream Path, well above what this era should contain."

Great Dream easily saw through Fang Yuan's Killer Moves, this was the benefit of being way ahead in a new path, you know a lot about others, and they know very little about you.

"Let's take this outside," Great Dream used her Killer Move to shatter the sealed space that Fang Yuan held them in.

"Tch," Fang Yuan tsked.

Great Dream was proving to be a much bigger annoyance than he anticipated: "Her mastery over Dream Realm is at least at the Great-Grandmaster level. There would be little I can directly do against her unless…"

Fang Yuan's eyes shifted toward Feng Jin Huang!

After all, if Great Dream came from the future Feng Jin Huang, then it would only make sense that if Feng Jin Huang didn't exist then neither would Great Dream.

With that said, Fang Yuan began shifting his attacks toward Feng Jin Huang.

"Hmm?" Great Dream noticed that Fang Yuan's attacks were putting her position further and further from Feng Jin Huang.

She grinned: "Nice try."

Immortal Killer Move ---------- Eternal Slumber.

With that, a Dream Realm was created from Great Dream and encased Feng Jin Huang and Fairy Bai Qing.

Fang Yuan noticed this but couldn't stop it: "Damnit, she noticed my plans," but it wasn't for nothing: "It seems she is consuming the Dream Realm that created her to sustain all these attacks, but I wonder how long she can keep this up."

Fang Yuan revealed a sinister grin as he up the amount of firepower he was using.

This caused Great Dream's face to go grim for the first time, "To think he managed to notice that I'm using the foundation of this body to achieve these extraordinary results, otherwise, it be impossible for a Rank 8 to deal with a Venerable much less a Quasi-Dao Emperor!"

Indeed, the Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique that Great Dream was inhabiting was only at Rank 8 Pseudo-Venerable!

If anyone knew that her cultivation was so low, yet able to put up a fight against the publicly recognized strongest person in the world, they would not believe it!

But there were many factors in play that allowed Great Dream to succeed.

One was that in this current era no one knew much about Dream Path yet, this gave her unparalleled advantage as Dream Path had no good counter from other Paths besides Dream Path.

This made Great Dream's defence, seemingly absolute, her attacks, seemingly unstoppable and her methods incredibly profound.

To top it off, Great Dream was not just a Great-Grandmaster, but a Quasi-Supreme Grandmaster!

She had found a way to allow Dream Realms to hold more than the previous limit of Great-Grandmaster, but even though she could put higher attainment within, a Gu Immortal still could not take out more than Great-Grandmaster level attainment from a Dream Realm.

Great Dream experimented with this as she wanted to raise up more powerful Pseudo if not actual Venerables for Heavenly Court, but it led to a dead-end.

"Who would have thought this research would be useful here," Great Dream thought to herself.

Another advantage was that Dream Path was inherently annoying, even Venerables like Star Constellation and Giant Sun didn't have good methods to block its attacks.

Though Great Dream did have downsides, namely the consumption of the Dream Realm.

Every attack she used would consume some of her foundation, which would lower both her cultivation and her attainment level.

Currently, she was still fine, but after casting Eternal Slumber to protect her past self, she was nearly knocked out of the Pseudo-Venerable level.

"I must maintain enough energy otherwise I won't be able to…" Great Dream's train of thought was abruptly cut short as Fang Yuan rapidly closed the gap, weaving multiple aggressive and powerful Killer Moves, to seal her exit routes.

Great Dream had no choice but to erect a barrier around herself while transmitting a message to Star Constellation:

"A little help?"

Star Constellation received the message and had a wry smile.

"What's wrong?" Genesis Lotus and the rest had just finished moving the Black Hole into the centre of the Void.

"It seems I was right; Great Dream has been brought from the future to the present, the only problem is that even she is no match for Fang Yuan." Star Constellation sighed.

"What!" Genesis Lotus exclaimed; this was very alarming news.

If not even the strongest Venerable in Heavenly Court's history, though I guess future is the better word, could stop Fang Yuan then was all hope lost?

"Should we lend her a hand?" Genesis Lotus asked.

Star Constellation deduced for a bit: "It would not hurt to give it a shot, but we can't have Giant Sun interfering as well, here's the plan."

Red Lotus was also included in the loop and as soon as all 3 nodded their heads.

They bolted straight down from Spectral Heaven!

Seeing this Giant Sun attempted to run after them but…

"Where do you think you're going!"

The empowered Heaven easily formed a wall of Solid Souls to block Giant Sun's flight:

"Heaven! Get out of my way!"

Heaven's voice roared: "Don't. Tell. Me. WHAT TO DO!!!"

A savage Soul Roar rang out across Spectral Heaven, causing Giant Sun's ears to bleed.

"Fine! I'll break out myself!"

"Hmph!" Heaven's snort held incredible disdain: "I'd like to see you try."

A battle raged out in Spectral Heaven.

Meanwhile, the 3 Venerables were rapidly approaching Fang Yuan and Great Dream's position:

"Finally," Great Dream thought: "Some backup."

"Tch, more pests." Fang Yuan was less than elated about their arrival.

Usually, Fang Yuan would not be worried if the 3 Venerables of Heavenly Court attacked him together, as Red Lotus and Genesis Lotus had not fully formed their Dao Fruits and Star Constellation hadn't even begun making one.

But Great Dream made things complicated.

"I have no good way of blocking her attacks, yet she has plenty of ways to block mine, this means that she can easily play the role of an attacker and defender." Fang Yuan scratched his head in annoyance and mild frustration.

With the coordinated efforts of Star Constellation, Great Dream, Genesis Lotus and Red Lotus, even someone like Fang Yuan would be hard-pressed.

Just as the Venerables had reached a stalemate.

Suddenly, the thunder and lightning that permeated the skies began to roar.

"Hmm?" the Venerables looked to the sky.

"It has begun." Great Dream thought to herself: "Soon I can…"

Her thought was interrupted once again by the sound of crashing thunder.

"This is unusual," Star Constellation thought: "Ordinarily a Chaotic Tribulation does not have so much fanfare."

Indeed, the roars of the thunders coincided perfectly, if not, beautifully with flashes of lightning, almost as if a performance was being displayed.

Great Dream shook her head laughing, attracting everyone, even Fang Yuan's, attention: "This is not a Chaotic Tribulation."

"It's not?" was the thought that rang in everyone's mind.

Without anyone asking, Great Dream elaborated: "This is an Omen. It only happens when a Great Dao decides to pick and test a chosen individual to be its harbinger."

"This…" The rest were all shocked by this revelation: "Then how would this benefit Feng Jiu Ge?" Red Lotus asked.

"It will allow him to skip straight into the Dao Emperor realm."

"B-but he's not even a Venerable," Genesis Lotus protested.

"Which is why he may most likely fail," a trace of sorrow could be seen in Great Dream's eyes: "To call upon a Dao before even entering the Venerable realm, requires both great talent and a great misfortune."

"Similar to how the 10 Extreme physiques are both blessed with extraordinary talent, and yet cursed with the inability to transcend the mortal realm without the help of an immortal, so to are Harbingers cursed with the great honour of being recognized by the Great Dao, and the curse of being unable to carry such a burden."

Everyone looked at Feng Jiu Ge with slight pity.

"Is there nothing we can do?" Red Lotus asked.

Great Dream shook her head: "There is nothing we can directly do but…there is one method."

"What is it?"

"Help Feng Jiu Ge achieve the Venerable realm before the Great Dao descends!"

....

"WHAT!" Genesis Lotus screamed out: "you're telling me that for him to have a shot at survival we need him to achieve the unobtainable? Why not just sentence him to death!?"

Red Lotus calmed him down: "Relax, Genesis I'm sure Great Dream brought this up because she has a plan, right?"

Great Dream nodded: "Indeed, I have a beneficial proposition, if you help give Feng Jiu Ge a chance at obtaining the Dao of Destiny then I will also give you a chance to allow Ma Hong Yun to obtain the Great Dao of Destiny."

"H-how did you," Great Dream cut Red Lotus off with a smile: "Is that really important or do you want to hear my plan."

Indeed, this was Heavenly Court's plan all along!

They knew the chances of Feng Jiu Ge obtaining the Great Dao of Destiny was slim, but what about Ma Hong Yun?

They figured that since he had at least Rank 9 Cultivation and aperture, he would stand to gain from exposure to the Great Dao of Destiny.

But they weren't 100% confident, even Heaven was not sure of the validity of their plan.

Red Lotus looked to Star Constellation, who nodded, "Fine. Let's hear your plan."

"…this," After hearing her plan, even Genesis Lotus had to admit it was a shot worth taking.

"How do we know you're capable to proceed with the plan though," Star Constellation asked: "Forgive my impudence, but there is no way to verify your validity is there?"

Great Dream nodded: "You're absolutely right, I will show you with actions but likewise you need to show me your sincerity."

"I promise you, on the honour of Heavenly Court and the lives of the Immortal Kings, that if you produce a chance for your plan to work, we will seize it." Star Constellation swore.

Great Dream and Star Constellation shook hands.
