5 Chapter 2339 Spectral Soul Flees
The land was thorn and desolate, the once-mighty Heavenly Court that had stood for 3 million years now lay in ruins.
In fact, thanks to Fang Yuan's looting, all of Central Continent lay barren with barely any life left.

Of course, Fang Yuan and Giant Sun were not dumb and could subtly feel that if they weren't willing to show this bit of sincerity Star Constellation might continue the fight.
And with Spectral Soul being an unknown variable in the contest of the 3 Venerables, it would be exceedingly hard to determine a winner.
Besides they had largely accomplished their objectives, they've laid Heavenly Court and its foundation to waste and severely damaged Primodial's revival method.
In fact, Fang Yuan even managed to loot so many resource points from Central Continent that this expedition had boosted the Sovereign Immortal Aperture's completion to 75%!
This was a huge qualitative change for the Sovereign Immortal Aperture, at 75% there would be a large decrease in the formation of random disasters caused by conflicting Dao marks.
Fang Yuan's forces can now focus on other tasks such as cultivating and making use of the resources to grow his force.

However, things did not go according to plan, Spectral Soul's untimely revival had thrown a wrench into things.
In fact, using Calamity Luck Pot to inspect their luck. Spectral soul's luck represented a pillar of soul fire dyed in Black and White.
The pillar did not ascend to the heavens like Fang Yuan's but instead descended onto Fang Yuan's pillar clashing with it!
This was the grandest source of Luck Fang Yuan had ever seen and with, Star constellation and Giant Sun's luck further obstructing him, he was slightly pushed back!!
This was alarming news to Fang Yuan and his intuition told him that Spectral Soul had some connection with Heaven.
He didn't have anything concrete but being grandmaster in both Luck and Heaven path gave him a natural premonition against where Spectral Soul's ungodly amounts of luck came from.
Meanwhile, Giant Sun drew similar results, despite not having any Heaven path attainments his Supreme Grandmaster gave him a strong premonition that the luck was related to the profundities of Heaven and Earth Luck.
"It is impossible for Spectral Soul to have this kind of attainment in Luck path especially since his rebirth he has lost all the attainments he gathered from the doors of life and death."
Giant Sun pondered deeper: "In fact, his luck isn't being taken from Heaven, but seems to be given to him by Heaven itself!"
The implications this created shocked Giant Sun which furthered propelled his desire to stop Spectral Soul.
Fang Yuan broke the silence to attack using verbal assault: "Friend Spectral Soul wait, you don't have to worry Lord Giant Sun Certainly isn't interested in your body, why not have a chat between old friends."
This caused both Spectral Soul and Giant Sun to vomit blood internally.
He continued: "In fact, I need to properly express my gratitude to you, without all your hard work how could I reach where I am today, you are in a way my benefactor I must repay you."
Spectral Soul internally wanted to kill Fang Yuan and reaffirm his priority in killing this Heaven Refining Venerable: "Friend Fang Yuan since you're so insistent on repaying past favors how bout you return my Immortal Sovereign Gu."

Those words shocked Spectral Soul, Giant Sun and, Star constellation who was busy constructing a killer move to trap Spectral Soul.

That slight delay had caused the gap between the 2 parties to further close.
Immortal killer move ---------- Star Cage
At that moment a dome of starlight once again began to surround Heavenly Court, but this move focused purely on defense and speed, allowing it to act as a barrier.
Though Star Constellation instead intended to use it as a trap.
Should the dome of Starlight be broken it would cause a chain explosion throughout the entire dome.
Of course, this trap didn't fool Fang Yuan, as an expert on killer moves, he analyzed the simple trap immediately but chose not to tell Giant Sun.
Spectral Soul could feel that the strength of the barrier was not placed within as it was originally meant to keep enemies out.
He felt that he had a chance at breaking through, as hew as weaving his killer move, he felt a cold shiver down his spine.
His immense luck was protecting him by giving him premonitions of dangerous decisions.
Instead of launching his killer move at the dome, he launched at the approaching venerables.
Immortal killer move ------- Soul Fire.
Although Spectral Soul did not possess the Dao mark requirements to become a venerable, he still was in possession of Rank 9 Fire Gu.
And as Fire Gu had become his vital Gu it was just barely easy enough to activate and was stretching the limits of a Rank 8.
The killer move was barely at the cusp of Rank 9 and was certainly leagues ahead of Rank 8 killer moves by even pseudo venerables.
Of course, to 2 venerables at the peak of their strength, it was simply child's play.
Giant Sun swatted at the soul fire with his bare fist.
The fire ricochets back at Spectral soul, but instead of panicking, he smirked.
The ball of soul fire then immediately turned and slammed into the dome triggering Star Constellation's hidden feature.
While Fang Yuan was right that the move would contain an explosion and self-detonate the whole dome, what he didn't realize is that this was a combination move between Star path and Wisdom path!
The explosion of star path and wisdom path Dao marks would track down whoever broke the dome!
It even had the annoying effect of slowing down the thoughts of the attacker and bombarding them with star path.
The flurry of Star and wisdom path Dao marks surged toward Giant Sun Immortal venerable.
"What the fu…" before Giant Sun could finish the influx of Dao marks surrounded him in a sphere of wisdom and star path marks that constantly drew in the natural marks that Star Constellation had refined.
Fang Yuan stared profoundly at the move while he continued the chase.
"How interesting, Star constellation's move allows for her to make full advantage of her territorial advantage, the move constantly replenishes itself using the natural wisdom path Dao marks of Heavenly court."
However, it is spectral Soul's killer move that is more ingenious, the soul fire is a combination move involving, Soul path, Fire path, and Food path!
It uses Fire path's ability to burn off a tiny bit of Giant sun's soul path marks, it then used food path to then consumes those soul path Dao marks into the move and finally used Soul path to recreates more marks bearing the original's signature.
Essentially creating a mini soul of Giant Sun, Spectral soul used that to effectively trick Star constellation's killer move into activating on Giant Sun!
