4 chapter 4 strength rises

A week went by with nothing special happening, besides getting another 5 primeval essence stones. That was untill my aunt came to visit.

Aunt[ Shu congrats on awakening your aperture. I asked around and was able to borrow a good gu for you.]

She opened up her palm and inside was a purple spiral sea shell the size of a nickel. I grabbed the gu

Aunt[ this is violet octopus gu. It doesn't give alot of strength like other gu of its type, but it'll give your strength in gripping a bigger boost than others. Not to mention it only eats octopi.]

Shu[ thank you aunt.]

Aunt[ no problem, but remember to feed it at least two octopus every week, and this gu was only lent to me so once you get all its strength you must return it to me.]

Shu[ i will remember aunt.]

Two octopus every week, that'll cost at most a third of a primeval essence stone. After all our Hu clan is mainly a water path clan with several water path resources and beasts. I'm a bit disappointed i won't get alot of strength but this gu was free and cheap to feed. If i got something like an elephant strength gu i couldn't afford to feed it even once.

I immediately activated it and could feel a warm energy enter my entire body, but after a bit of use it started to get hotter and hotter. Untill i couldn't stand it anymore, it reminded me of of using drop of strength gu, but unlike that gu this strength will stay with me.

Thanking my aunt again l went back to my room to continue cultivating in peace. After a few days of using violet octopus gu i estimated that it'll at least take a week more till I can't use it no more. As i was in thought a person entered into my room. It was my father

Father[ i spoke with your aunt when she visited, and she told me that you wanted to use strength path gu. Is that true?]

Shu[ i do plan on walking this path yes.]

Father[ alright i understand, what gu did you pick as your vital gu then.]

Shu[ drop of strength gu]

He was quite for a bit before he spoke again.

Father[ as your father your safety matters most to me, so i got you this gu to help you escape from any danger.]

He handed me a gu that was a small grey grasshopper.

Shu[ this.... this is jab gu.]

Father[ oh so you know it already? Thats good i won't have to explain it then, i wish i could give you more but their is a limit to how much i can help you, because at the end of the day the person you should rely on most should always be yourself.]

With that said he left..... looking at my new gu i refined it quickly. This was one of the gu i was planning on getting, i just didn't expect to get it so soon. This gu is once again called jab gu, activating this gu will allow the user to quickly thrust a limb. To an average gu master it wouldn't do much, but for the gu masters who have their bodies strengthened. They'll be able to use this gu much more effectively. Jab gu is a well known used gu of strength path gu masters and it food is tendons. Making it an affordable gu to raise.

Time passed by quickly and in the academy we were given two classes. One that had us practice using our gu, and the other was a martial arts class.

The martial arts class was ignored by just about all the other students. As for me the class was unnecessary, i had long since learned hand to hand combat by training with mortals. So all these classmates who lived sheltered lives were no match for me, making students less motivated to learn. It didn't help them that i had already gained the complete strength of an octopus. Making me much more stronger than all my classmates.

Teacher[ ok class listen up, this week we will be selecting a class leader. The class leader will be given this.]

In her hands was a rank 1 gu master badge.

Teacher[ now for those of you don't know let me tell you the importance of this gu master badge. Having this badge allows the class leader to earn one extra primeval essence stone, but it also comes with a responsibility. All the other classes will also have a class leader and they can challenge other class leaders for their bade. If your class leader earns another badge then everyone in the class will earn one extra primeval essence stone. So be sure to pick a capable class leader, as it could greatly benefit you all.]

All the students began discussing about who should be the class leader, but just about all of them agreed that Malu should be the class leader. Malu is the B grade talent hairy man in our class. Everyone began to tell the teacher that they wanted Malu to be the class leader.

Teacher[ alright then i hereby announce Malu as classes 6 leader.]

Malu gained the badge as everyone else applauded him. Once everyone quieted down i raised my hand.

Teacher[ yes Shuidi ]

I stood up from my seat catching everyone else's attention.

Shu[ as a member of class 6 i question Malu's leadership and here by challenge him to a battle for leadership.]

At my statement everyone went quiet, before they all started to berate me verbally.

???[ your just a common c grade talent]

???[ yeah how could you lead us when were the same.]

???[ Malu's a B grade talent he's much better than you.]

Teacher[ thats enough!..... Shuidi has the right to challenge Malu for the class leader position just like all of you.]

Shortly after that we headed outside to a sparring grounds where Malu and i were at opposite sides of the ring.

Referee[ begin!!!]

I activated drop of strength gu to its max and ran at Malu. As i was nearing him i saw a ball of water appear and then launch at me. I side stepped to avoid the attack and continued running at him. Within 5 seconds i was already upon him, he tried to run away but it was already to late as i raised my arm and bam.

I lariated him at the chest and sent him straight to the ground. He started to scream in pain but that didn't last as i reached down and grabbed him by the throat lifting him up and lightly squeezing it, but before i could do anything else the referee stopped me.

Referee[ thats enough Shuidi wins.]

He then took Malu away to be healed, but before leaving he handed me the gu master badge. Holding the badge i looked at the rest of my class.

Shu[ Malu might be a B grade talent, but hes also a hairy man. His vital gu is most likely a refinement path gu, with a refinement path gu as his vital gu how could he possibly protect our class badge. Let alone earn other badges.]

Hearing my words my classmates quieted down. I proved that Malu was not fit to be class leader. Being class leader will earn me an extra primeval essence stone, but only if i can keep my badge safe from other classes, and the best way to do that is to increase my own strength at least for now.

After class i went out to one of the many gu markets and spent 15 primeval essence stones on a new gu. This gu was a pink beetle with a flower pattern on its back. This gu was mentioned but never used in the story, it's flower boar gu.

A gu that can temporarily give the user the full strength of a boar for ten breaths. A common strength path gu thats cheap and useful, but with this gu my peak strength will be drop of strength gu stacked 5 times, the strength of an octopus, and now plus a boar.

Now then i think its time i write some letters, for some of the other class leaders.
