19 chapter 19 progressing

With my newly gained knowledge i made my way to where i saw the demonic gu master. Each time i activated jab gu four variant human phantoms appeared behind me. Boosting my strength and paired with jab gu i was sent soaring, covering a large amount of distance in a short time.

I was about to use thermal vision gu to track the demonic gu master only to see obvious signs of where she'd been. Since she was using a fire movement gu all the places she passed left a trail of scorched earth.

After using jab gu about six times i began to feel some pain and strain in my body from receiving the strength boost from the strength phantoms. Eventually I'm going to have to use self-reliance gu to heal my self, but as i was thinking to myself i caught glimpse of the demonic gu master infront of me

Her feet seemed to be on fire and each step she took looked like she was being shot forward like a rocket, but as i got closer i could see that her clothes were torn as if a sharp blade had cut through them all over. She also had a large slash on her back, that seemed to be carterized by flames. The only way i knew it was fresh was by her blood stained clothes around the injury.

I slowed down a bit as i didn't want to catch her attention but at the same time i raised one of my hands with a spear and took aim. Then by activating jab gu i threw the metal spear towards her. With its durability and my strength phantom boosted jab gu. It's speed and force could rival most rank 3 gu, and with the demonic gu master running away in a straight line. My spear hit her dead on right center of her body.

My spear pierced through her body, as she screamed out in pain she turned to look at me. Only for her to realize that i was aiming my second spear. She quickly raised her hand and a stream of flames erupted towards me, but that didn't stop me as i threw the spear.

Before the flames could hit me my featherman self picked me up and moved me away from the flames. I then brought out well stored gu and took out two more spears, and then activated thermal vision gu. The sea of flames could almost blind me as they were a bright orange with my new vision, but in that brightness a bright red human figure stood out.

My hunch was right since she had some gu that heated up her body she stood out more with thermal vision gu. She was hunched down on the ground holding her stomach. So i took aim once again and threw another spear. Hitting her in the upper chest, at that attack she feel to the ground. I then ordered my featherman self to go see her as i used self-reliance to heal my eyes and strained body.

Only after he returned and i learned of her death did i make my way to her. I had to go around the flames she created but once i got there she was definitely dead. Her eyes were wide open but their was no life in them. Up close i could see several more wounds i wasn't able to see before besides the three spear holes i created.

I'm not gonna lie i thought killing her would effect me more. I know I've been telling myself since I've been brought into this world that it was cruel and unforgiving, but i never thought it could change my mind so much. Or maybe I was always an indifferent individual.

Initel will[ well even though the other two weakened her for you. You still did a good job ending her before you guys had to play the whole cat and mouse chase.]

I looked at Initel's will that came out of my body from who knows where.

Initel will[ you don't looked that surprised at seeing me. Did you know i was with you?]

Shu[ i thought you would find a way to protect me or locate me if needed.]

Initel will[ no thats to much work its much easier to just have a will like me to cling on you and watch over you, but know this I'd only come out if it was life or death. Even if you were getting beat I'd do nothing.]

Shu[ so why so yourself now?]

Instead of answering me she raised her hand towards the dead demonic gu master, and slowly a pale human form appeared over her dead body. It then was brought to Initel's will who then started to look at the pale demonic gu master as if she was reading a book.

Shu[ you wanted to soul search her soul?]

Initel will[ yeah you never know if you can find something good, but sadly shes got nothing. Even all her gu were well known fire path gu. It looks like she was trying to refine her rank 2 gu into rank 3, but thats easier said than done. She failed countless times and thats why she resorted to stealing as she failed so much. Ha it looks like a week ago she succeeded in ranking up her movement gu. No wonder she escaped your teammates.]

Shu[ are any of her gu alive?]

Initel will[ no she long destroyed them.]

Shu[ i figured, i just had to ask.]

Initel will[ oh well it is what it is.]

She then let the soul go and it dissipated and she turned into a fog and went into me. I don't think I'll ever get used to the idea of her constantly watching me.

I looked at my featherman self

Shu[ Go get the others]

My featherman self went off into the sky as i brought out an iron axe. Well we have to bring something to confirm the kill. With one swift swing i chopped off her head.

Two days later we were setting up camp with the demonic gu master's head besides me. Initially Xal was unhappy with me not listing to her but with my results and Dali calming her down her unhappiness did not last. We sat down and began to eat, as my featherman self kept watch in the sky.

Xal[ i finally figured it out, that featherman version of you is a killer move isn't it?]

Dali[ a killer move that creates another version of yourself? Is that true Shuidi? If so where did you get it and what gu does it use?]

Ryan[ is it a rule path gu maybe or a qi gu?]

Max[ it would be really useful to have oneself constantly on the lookout.]

At their questions my featherman self flew down and lifted up the demonic gu master's head. As i raised my hand and put a singular finger to my mouth. My message seemed to get to them all.

The less they knew the better, not to mention i don't want Dali spreading to the whole clan that i can make multiple copies of myself. In my last life i learned people are very horny for fictional characters that could copy themselves. Just like how people were obsessed with Nico Robin from one piece.

They finally stopped talking about my other self, but now we had to go back to the clan. Which now felt like it was taking longer than it took us to get here. Although it did considering that we took a ride here for a majority of the distance.

It took us almost a two whole weeks to get to a nearby clan that had a service to fly us to our clan. Once we finally got back after saying goodbye i immediately went back home. Initel's will came out from my body

I nodded my head at her and made my way to the courtyard where my hairyman self was refining. Before i left i instructed him to try to refine a gu, i also made sure to leave multiple self-being wills. So that it could sustain itself.

Shu[ any progress?]

At my question he took out a piece of himself and handed it to me. After taking it in i learned that a good amount of progress did happed, but my hairyman self lack primeval essence of his own and i needed to focus on working on the recipe my hairyman self was working on. I've been trying to create my own recipe for beggar moth.
