Aunt[ ji?? The winner of the last class leader competition?.... thats not good. Shes rank 2 peak stage and as a high grade talent you can't do what you did to Zapl to win.]

Yeah in order to beat Zapl i used his greatest strength against him, and that was regress gu. Such a wonderful gu definitely had a price to pay and its primeval sea essence usage. Lets say the minimum primeval sea essence cost was 10%. Zapl is a c grade talent with a primeval sea essence level of 43%. In our fight i forced him to use it four times, he had a backlash the last time because he ran out of primeval essence. While i still had plenty thanks to beggar moth gu. In fact i barley used the primeval sea essence in it at most 10%, but that small amount is what let me win easier. Otherwise we'd both be slugging at each other for a much longer time at the end.

Aunt[ in that case you should forfeit the next match, i don't think you'll be able to beat her.]

Shu[ maybe not but I'll still fight her, if she wants a battle I'll give her one. A person like her won't leave me alone otherwise, besides I'm sure she wants to talk to me as well.]

My aunt stared at me for a bit then spoke.

Aunt[ well i know you well enough to know that once your set on something you won't make up your mind. Its a good thing i came with this.]

From her aperture she took out a dark green mollusk. It gave off the aurora of a rank 2 gu, grabbing it i looked it over.

Shu[ i don't recognize it, but since I've asked you to ask around for permanent strength enhancing gu or for rank 2 short term enhancing gu. I'm guessing that its the latter.]

Aunt[ that it is, its called vice grip crab gu. It'll increase your strength much more than any of your rank 1 gu. Its food is silly clams it needs to eat about 5 of them each week. Five cost about one and a half primeval essence stone so its not to bad.]

Rank 2 short term strength enhancing gu are indeed stronger than rank 1 ones. They were never used in the story since fang yuan used gu that permanently gave him the strength dao marks of beasts and then he up graded those beast dao making him stronger. However that i know of their is no way to do so. As for the way fang yuan did it, 1 i do not have any of the beast dao marks he had and 2 it never said the whole process on upgrading it either.

That i know of in this world the short term strength enhancing gu work like this. Rank 1 give the strength of normal beasts, rank 2 give the strength of a stronger beast, rank 3 and above give the strength of beasts that have already begun to gain strength in a dao path. These gu naturally appear and some even have recipes for them, but the demand is to high. Those who walk the strength path are normally low grade talents. So the demand for all these gu are too high.

Shu[ thank you aunt how much do i owe you?]

Aunt[ the guy sold it to me for 8 thousand primeval essence stones, and that was his discounted price.]

I then used well stored gu and gave her the 10 thousand primeval essence stones.

Shu[ Here you go aunt, your not the only person who bet on me. Consider the extra a down payment for any other future gu i need.]

She nodded her head and took the money.

Aunt[ even with your new gu i don't think you'll be able to beat Ji.]

Shu[ Maybe not but I'll never know unless i try, besides win or lose I'll get stronger by fighting.]

After those words we spoke for a while before she had to leave. The next morning i went to check who'll I'll be fighting, at first it said Buju a well known rank 2 peak stage strength path gu master, but after an hour it stated that he had dropped out of the competition and that Ji would take his place.

I then went to where the betting took place and saw that my odds were 1 to 10. After all she comes from a well known branch and from all her previous matches she showed her strength. I then wagered 10 thousand primeval essence stones on myself and left to the stage.

Shortly after Ji appeared

Ji[ long time no see Shuidi, you don't seem too surprised to see me?]

Shu[ Someone had warned me the other day that you would pull some strings to fight me after all.]

Ji[ and who would that be?]

Shu[ What do you want Ji, i doubt you wanted to fight just to fight.]

Ji[ you don't talk or visit me even when you owe me an explanation as to why you denied my marriage proposal.]

At that sentence the once loud arena quited down a bit followed by whispers.

Shu[ Its far to early for talks of marriage with anyone in my opinion.]

Ji[ In that case how about we make a deal? You see this]

She pulled out from her aperture a light blue beatle. The crowd went even more silent then they did before about the marriage proposal.

Ji[ This gu is called soaring water, using it will give the user the chance to permanently increase their primeval sea essence from 10% all the way to 30%.]

No wonder everyone quieted down, I'm sure many people have long done research on gu that can raise their aptitude, and this soaring water gu can even raise my talent to B grade and even have a chance to reach A grade. It must be a very coveted gu.

Ji[ If i win you'll marry me and get this gu.]

Shu[ And if i win do i get this gu?]

Ji[ Of course not don't you know you have to keep your good stuff for those close to you.]

Shu[ In that case i have no reason to agree.]

I took a battle stance and pulled out a large metal mace.

Ji[ just cause i won't give you soaring water gu as a prize, doesn't mean i can't offer you a good prize. Be it primeval essence stones or other rare gu like kraken strength gu or permanently enhancing strength gu.]

Shu[ No deal]

I once again raised my mace.

Ji[ Haaaaaaaaaaaaa..... why can't you be more agreeable. We both know you can't beat me, even with your barbaric weapons.]

Shu[ Only one way to know.]

I activated drop of strength gu to the limit and even sharp shark gu. Making my way towards her, but instead of running or defending she raised her own fist. A spiral of water came out of her fist as if a small water tornado was wrapped around her arm, and bammmmm. My weapon and her fist collided our attacks cancelled out.

I know i wasn't using my full strength but i doubt she was either. This isn't a match i can just drag out, but the only reason i took this match was to see my current limits. So i activated flower boar gu and vice grip crab gu. Reaching my max strength i then activated jab gu.

With my body full of strength jab gu's capability truley showed its worth in a strength path masters hand. I reached her instantly and used jab gu again to strike her with my mace. She was almost caught off guard by my attack but she quickly managed to raise both her hands that were both wrapped in a small water tornados.

My attack smashed her hands and even managed to dissipate the water around her hands causing blood to appear. She was sent back several steps. She yelled in anger and more water tornados appeared this time around her legs. She quickly made her way back to me and raised her hands, from them a large spiralling water whip came out to whipp me.

Using jab gu i rushed towards her intead of evading her attack i smacked it away with my mace destroying her attack but it left me wide open. I was then hit by several small orbs of water. It felt like getting smacked several times by a grown man. If i hadn't used bone scales gu earlier I'm sure the pain would have been worse. Ignoring the pain i used jab gu again and was on ji once more.

Ji[ Oh no you don't! ]

A large wall of water then appeared in between us. I lifted my mace and sent it flying with the help of jab gu. I also continued my way towards her as i threw it. My mace hit the water wall destroying it and splashing water everywhere. In that short time i made my way to ji's side going around her and activating all my strength gu again. This caused her to sense me and turn to look for me only for her not to see me. As i had activated stealth scale gu when i hit the water.

She kept turning her head to look for me but just as she realized something was wrong she was sent flying. I had used jab gu to kick her right at her kidney. She flew straight towards a wall on the side of the arena causing her even more damage, and with my metal plated shoes. I'm more then certain i broke many bones.

I wasn't done yet though i took out well stored gu and brought out a bag that was full of metal spiked balls and using my max strength and the help of jab gu. The metal spiked balls were shot off at a blinding speed right towards the injured Ji, but before they made contact a large green wall of water then appeared stopping my weapons.

Referee[ Enough! Due to my interference since i believed that ji would have not been able to block that last attack Shuidi zhide Hu is the victor.]

The crowd went deadly silent, im sure no one excepted me to win after all. Ji comes from a very reputable branch and is a A grade talent, but in my opinion that all seemed to have blinded her. She let that all get into her head, she was more than a match for me. If she wanted to beat me all she had to do was play it a little safe and make sure i don't get too close. Hell this match was pointless if all she wanted to do was speak with me she could have done the same as Luna. Hopefully Ji's branch doesn't hold a grudge and lets her learn from her hubris.

Picking up my mace and storing it i walked close to Ji and started picking up my metal spiked balls. Once i had finished i saw that the healing gu master had already healed her up enough for her to be conscious. Though i wouldn't have noticed if she wasn't staring daggers at me.

Shu[ you know your the second person who said i wouldn't be able to beat you using my barbaric weapons, and I'll tell you what i told her..... i perfer the term..... savage.]
