Zapl a rank 2 peak stage strength path gu master. He's been at rank 2 for years and has more experience than Vis. The only reason why he hasn't reached rank 3 is because he's only a c grade talent like me, but he shouldn't be underestimated because of that but feared. A person thats lived long in a dangerous profession should be feared and respected.

From what I've gathered he's permanently turned his flesh into stone and he's got the permanent strength of two bull's, but what makes him more dangerous is that he has a rare time path gu called regress. It can regress his current physical state to his physical state ten breaths ago.

Theirs a rumor going around that an opponent destroyed his head killing him but since he activated regress gu beforehand he survived and managed to kill his opponent since he caught them off guard.

In a normal fight I'd probably lose to him but their is a way for me to win. Not to long later i went to see what the odds were on betting. 8 to 1.... well its to be expected, im an unknown gu master that only beat Vis using venom and not my own strength. While Zapl is well known veteran and possesses a rare healing gu. I then placed a four thousand primeval essence stones on myself and left.

The battle is the next day but i have nothing else to do. So i went home but as i reached the entrance i saw somebody waiting for me.

Shu[ Its been a while Luna come in.]

She looked at me and then nodded her head following me into my home where i lead her into my small yard with all my mirror willow trees. I had a small table and two chairs here as i would talk with my aunt here whenever she would visit me.

Luna[ these are beautiful trees, what are they called?]

Shu[ Their called mirror willows, i got them when i was in the clans caravan with my aunt.]

Luna[ and here i thought besides your looks and honest nature you had no charming side to you, but to think you have a garden.]

Shu[ you can think what you'd like, but why have you come to visit me? I doubt it was just to talk.]

At my words she frowned a bit, only to sigh.

Luna[ perhaps i should visit you more often then if you think like that, but you're right i do have a reason for seeing you.]

Shu[ And that is?]

She used her primeval essence and i was able to tell that she had reached rank 3.

Luna[ you don't seem surprised that I'm rank 3.]

Shu[ Whats their to be surprised about? I'd be more surprised if you weren't with your talent.]

After i said this she nodded her head in agreement.

Luna[ to be honest i was planning on waiting until after the tournament to rank up, because i was hoping to battle you.]

Shu[ Theirs no way the people running the tournament would think you and i were of equal strength. So unless somebody pulled some strings we wouldn't fight each other.]

Luna[ but i definitely would have pulled some strings so that we would fight.]

Shu[ so why didn't you then?]

Luna[ my parents guaranteed me that they wouldn't allow me to fight you if i didn't cultivate properly. So i reached rank 3 naturally and because of that theirs no way I'd be able to fight you since your still rank 2.]

Shu[ Well its to be expected our talents are vastly different, not to mention it sounds like you have caring parents.]

Luna[ cultivation talent has nothing to do with a gu master capabilities. You've taught me that lesson the hard way in the academy's class leader competition. Not to mention your already rank 2 middle stage. The B grade talents are at most rank 2 upper stage, while all other c grade talents are still rank 1. Even with your average cultivation talent your capable of matching those b grade talents in cultivation, and i doubt you've grown weaker in combat.]

Shu[ Your point is?]

Luna[ you seem to be selling your self too short. Your much more capable then others, thats why i want you to work for me. I need capable gu masters that i can trust. Of course I'd rather have you be one of my husbands but from what i heard you've turned down her marriage proposal.]

Shu[ Its to early for talks of marriage with anyone in my opinion, and as for working for you. I'll be honest i don't want to.]

Luna[ I'm sure you'll change your mind in the future, with your talent reaching rank 3 with no help will be impossible, but if you were to join me you'll have access to gu that can increase your talent.]

Shu[ no I'll be able to reach rank 3, and possibly rank 4, but if i win the third match i might be able to get a talent increasing gu.]

Luna[ thats why i came to visit you, even though i didn't pull any strings to fight you "she" did.]

Shu[... if she wants a fight I'll give her one.]

Luna[ you won't win, i suggest that you give up. Its not even guaranteed that you'll beat Zapl.]

Shu[ i fell like we've had a conversation like this before. Well now that i know I'll be fighting her I'll have to prepare. So if you don't mind leaving.]

I took out well stored gu and began taking out metal bars from it.

Luna[ you won't be able to beat her with you barbaric mortal weapons.]

Shu[ Barbadic?]

The next day i made my way to the ring i was designated to fight in. Inside the ring was a thirty year old looking man. He had dark green hair and scales to match. He was also full of scars all over, he gave off a very imposing air. Unlike most gu masters he carried a weapon. He carried a metal bat with spikes, he starred me down but said nothing.

Referee[ Begin!]

Zapl ran straight towards me, as i took out well stored gu and took out a bottle, and once Zapl got close enough i tossed it right at him. Zapl batted it out of the way shattering it instantly, but he slowed his pace towards me as he could no longer open his eyes.

I then activated drop of strength gu to the maximum and even flower boar gu, and then i rushed him. Just as i reached him i used jab gu and decked him right in the face. Zapl's head spun hard and i even busted his lip, from the very start of the fight i had brass knuckles in one of my hands, but before i could get another hit in Zapl's swung his bat at me.

So i had to use jab gu once more to dodge and make some space between us. Taking a look at Zapl i could see that his eyes were wide open and his lip was no longer busted. Looks like he used regress gu. The bottle that i threw out earlier was full of spices and acids, it was literally only ment to blind him.

Zapl[ cheap tricks won't work.]

Shu[ Is that so?]

I pulled out another bottle from well stored gu and rushed him. Zapl swung his bat at me once i got too close, but once again i used jab gu to avoid his range and then i threw the bottle at him. It shattered against his body, he was about to rush me when he realized something.

Zapl[ is this..... is this alcohol? So now your just tossing everything you have stored?]

But as he said that i threw a second alcohol bottle at him, he didn't even try to avoid it this time. Instead he just ran at me, but by then i pulled out a third bottle but this one had a rag in it. I then lit it up with a flint and steel i had in my pockets. This time Zapl figured out what i was planning to do but he was to late and way to close to avoid it. The lit bottle hit him bathing him in flames, as he lit up i continued to throw alcohol bottles where he stood. Making the flames stronger, Zapl was soon all burnt black but just as quickly he looked normal, but he wasn't safe as everywhere he stood was ablaze.

Regress gu regressed his physical body not his surroundings. So he had no choice but to run out of the surrounding area. Once he got out he used regress gu once again and was once again in his best physical state. However i wasn't going to let him catch his breath as i made my way to him with another bottle in my hand. Zapl wasn't just going to let me use another bottle against him. He threw his bat at me and shattered the bottle in my hand.

That didn't stop me though as i kept running at him with my fist raised. I activated flower boar gu once again and even bone scale gu as i striked him in the kidney, but that also gave him an opening to hit me. As he hit me in the face, i felt light head but i striked once again this time using jab gu to hit Zapl in the stomach.

He slouched down as i knocked the air out of him but both his hands were placed on my shoulders as he kneed me in the chest. I felt my bones crack he definitely fractured something maybe even broke something. Using jab gu once again i hit him in the jaw. Sending him back a few steps, but i didn't let up as i used jab gu repeatedly to strike him a few more times in the body.

After a few strikes i backed away a few steps to catch my breath. Zapl was bleeding a bit as my brass knuckles had spikes, but thanks to his stone skin it wasn't much, but im sure i hurt him internally pretty bad. Though as soon as i thought this he immediately returned to physical prime state.

Zapl readied his fists like a boxer while looking at me.

Zapl[ its been a while since i faught with my bare hands..... its honestly pretty exhilarating.]

As he spoke i pulled out a second brass knuckle and put it in my other hand. I then rushed him throughing one punch aimed at his head, but he took a step back grabbing my arm that i extended pulling me up. I then pulled myself up from where he was holding my arm and activated jab gu kicking him right in the face.

This time the pain he felt was not little, he dropped me and held his face. He moved his hands and i could see i broke his nose and busted his lips. Well it was to be expected my shoes have a metal base for this very purpose.

I felt Zapl activate a gu followed by him spitting out blood. The gu activation falied and he faced a backlash, nows my chance i activated sharp shark gu gaining a sharks strength. Then using jab gu i was on him in no time, using jab gu again i began beating him all over. He resisted at first but with his injuries and me using jab gu to avoid and attack him. He was quickly deteriorating, eventually i managed to get a good hit on his chin knocking him out.

Referee[ the victor is Shuidi zhide Hu!]

One of the referees came up to me and i soon felt rejuvenated, looks like this referee is a rank 3 gu master who specializes in healing. I even felt my injured bones in my chest heal.

Referee[ I've healed your body back to 100% but i can only heal your body not your mind and fatigue, go rest your next opponent will be decided tomorrow morning.]

Shu[Thank you for healing me.]

Getting up from where i was resting i made my way to the betting places and received 32 thousand primeval essence stones. I then placed them into well stored gu and made my way home, and once again there was someone there waiting for me, only this time i was not surprised by my guest.

Shu[ Welcome aunt, come on in.]
