Chapter 3 Lifespan Gu

Whilst he could feel that his aperture still had a talent of 20%, he knew that did not matter since his void aperture was 5 times bigger so it could be compared to the 100% apertures. So, whilst his talent did not increase specifically his strength will always be higher than his peers if he manages to improve his talent to more than 20%.

However, this aperture also became a problem for him because he has no way to replace the unique void essence that has gathered in his aperture. Void essence was similar in strength to normal primeval essence except that it had the power to corrupt Gu similar to the effect blood lake graveyard and destroy Gu from the inside.

From the information he received about the aperture the only way to store it was to obtain the void aperture and he already had it.

This made Di Rue vary happy.

If he could fill up his aperture with void essence fully, he could advance a rank immediately without needing to enter middle upper or peak stages.

He only had about 1% of his aperture filled with the void essence and the information did not contain any method of filing it up further.

The white Gu worm started vibrating as 7 white lights left the worm.

It was lifespan Gu. It looked like a blue snake formed in a loop that was eating its own tail like an ouroboros. It had a rough texture like that of a root.

7 lifespan Gu had left the white hole, each with different ages ranging from 50 to 10.

Why had HIS new Gu spat out these Gu?

"it can't be?" were his thoughts as the realization hit?

There were 8 people aboard the ship when he died and since he was here could the black hole Gu have swallowed up his crew as well. If that's the case are the 2 Gu connected? Were his crew refined into lifespan Gu?

If that is the case, then he has one of the most powerful Gu in existence as it is known that when a venerable is born lifespan Gu production lowers. He could use this to live forever. He could trade lifespan Gu with desperate immortals for resources!

"No, it wont work considering immortals could just rob him" he immediately used all 7 Gu in fear of immortals having some way of finding them. You never know what strange and weird Gu they have.

With this his lifespan has risen to 350 years and he feat each increase.

He would have to figure out how to use the Gu in time, as when he becomes an immortal, he would have a way to protect the resources he obtains when trading lifespan Gu.

1 WEEK LATER

During this week in the academy, he was tot how to refine and activate Gu worms. He had tried activating the black hole Gu and white hole Gu and he found out they both require the special void essence, so he never fully activated them as he has no way to replenish it. However, he could feel that both Gu had weakened each other to rank 1 as it had not damaged his aperture yet.

Today was the day he got to select his first Gu in the academy for free. He had already thought what Gu he might select however because his talent was measured to be so low, he was one of the last people to pick a Gu so he did not know if that Gu would still be there.

As he went in, he was disappointed as the little QI Gu was taken so he had to pick another one. He wanted tat Gu because he knew that it did not need food to be fed all the time. However, he now had to pick a different Gu.

As he looked around one Gu stood out to him.

It was the moonlight Gu.

It was a Gu unique to the GU Yue clan and therefor won't be found outside the village.

However, what stood out to him is that the Gu felt like the moon. He had been there, so he knew that the Gu was not from the moon however it was likely that moonlight had been used to refine it.

He had decided he will pick it as it reminded him of his time before he reincarnated. And there was no other suitable Gu left for which he could still afford the food.

As he left after picking the Gu the academy elder looked at him and sighed.

"you won't be able to use it much but seeing as there are no other good Gu left you can have it" The academy elder did not know that Di rue had more primeval essence that was originally measured. He had filled up his aperture 4.2% which meant that if he had the original aperture it would be full already as his aperture is 5 times bigger.

He still only had 1% of void essence however as he still had not found a way to get more.

After a day of waiting, he got home. His house was left to him by his parents. Apparently, they were rank 3 so he could still have some privileges such as owning a house when he was not rank 2 yet.

He tried to refine the moonlight Gu with a higher ranked Gus aura. He chose the black hole Gu however everything went wrong very quickly. He tried copying Fang Yuan so he thought it was alright to use a higher ranked Gu, but he was wrong.

Whilst his void essence did not reduce, the Gu still activated and sucked in the moonlight Gu.

He had lost his only usable Gu.
