Chen Paya (2)

Chen Paya was the daughter of a family of farmers in the small village of Pao. She spent most of her days helping her parents in the fields and tending to the animals. One day, while wandering in the nearby forest, she stumbled upon some strange markings on the trees. Curiosity getting the better of her, she followed the trail of blood and eventually came across a hidden cave.

As she ventured deeper into the cave, she suddenly fell into a hole trap. She tried to climb her way out, but the walls were too steep and she couldn't find a good grip. With no way out and no hope for rescue, Chen Paya resigned herself to her fate and waited for the end to come.

But fate had other plans in store for her. Just as she was about to give up, an otherworldly soul suddenly transmigrated into her body. The soul belonged to a woman named Jane, who had been a company manager in the states. Jane had been on the brink of death when she suddenly found herself in Chen Paya's body.

At first, Chen Paya was confused and disoriented but as she began to regain her bearings, she realized that she had been given a second chance at life. Fortunately, her hobby was bouldering, so she was able to climb her way out of the hole trap and make her way back to the surface.

There, the skeleton of what used to be the evil Gu Master, three Gu worms and scrolls giving pointers on how to become a Gu Master were lying in the cave. From that moment on, Chen Paya was a changed person.

She realized that she transmigrated in the world of Gu. She had only read the manhwa too, and stopped midway because the main character was just too ruthless. Now, she came to regret her decision. Memories from her body all goes to show that her future would not be great. As she became a Gu Master, and she devoted herself to mastering the ancient art of manipulating her three Gu worms: the [Red Needle Shot], the [Flower Scent Gu] and the [Wolf Skin Gu].

The first gu worm allowed her to shoot out red needles made of crystalised blood. Although it did not use a lot of primeval essence, the damage was light too. The Flower scent Gu, in that aspect, was much better. With it, she could easily charm people, and rip them off into buying more wine from her tavern. As for the wolf skin Gu, it was a basic defensive Gu worm.

As she defeated bandits and became a Gu master, word of her exploits soon spread throughout the village, and people came from far and wide to seek her assistance. Chen Paya became a respected figure in the community, and she used her powers to help those in need, hunting the wolves that attacked the farmers' cattle, and getting rid of bandits.

But even as she basked in the adulation of her peers, Chen Paya never forgot the strange circumstances that had led to her transformation. She knew that there was still much to learn about the mysterious world of Gu Masters, and she vowed to use her powers for the sake of survival. Everything changed when she heard about the rise of Mo Bei, a secondary character in the book.

At first, she thought that her actions had changed the outcome of the world, but as she tried to snatch the inheritance from the Flower Wine Monk, she realized with horror that it had been destroyed.

That's when she came to suspect Mo Bei. Interacting with him, she also learned that he was the class overlord. It was not Fang Yuan, the main character of the book, or Fang Zheng, his genius brother. It was a mere secondary character, who had won the hearts of his classmates, and monopolised resources. While he walked a different path than Fang Yuan, his methods were just as evil and capitalists.

When Mo Bei reached the peak stage rank 1 realm, she had no doubts left. Mo Bei was a reincarnated individual, just like she was. Otherwise, there was no way he would have been able to reach the peak stage in just six months. Not even A-grade talents could achieve it.

Knowing that a wolf tide would soon put her in peril, she needed someone to rely on when the time comes, someone who would be able to shelter her in the vacinity of the Gu Yue Clan, possibly marry her to make her one of them.

That's when she decided to use her looks to charm the young teenager.

However, as cold iron threatened to cut her throat, she realized that Mo Bei had seen through her ploy.

The [Flower Scent Gu] worm had an obvious weakness. Once the other party realized that it was under charm, the effects would instantly nullify.

'To think he would fake his way through my room...Damn it, I don't even know him! He might kill me and every witness in the tavern to cover up his tracks!', she thought

As Mo Bei coldly said: "What's the meaning of this?"

She realized she could not fool around. If she made a mistake, she would die, and all of her hardships from the past six months would be all for naught.
