9 Hei Yin Mou

"Kid, I hope you remember everything I said," Hei Jiao reminded in a serious voice for the umpteenth time.

Fang Huo sighed, the gaze he looked at Hei Jiao carried a complicated expression; This old bastard has been torturing him with the traditions and rules of the Hei Tribe.

Fang Huo is never someone who hates learning new things. But this guy proved how much patience a human could have. He was silent and sleeping the entire journey but the moment they entered the territories of the Hei tribe, he started with how much jade beauties and muscle warriors in Hei tribe, to their strength and reputation in the Gu World.

At first, he was interested, but this guy has no mercy. He started repeating over and over, and Fang Huo felt like trapped in an Immortal Killer move.

Thankfully, they soon reached Hei Tribe's base in Yu Tian Region. From their point of view, the entire base could be seen spread all over with walls surrounding entirely. Rivers ran in between some places, while grasses grew at tree's length at some. It's so mystical and fascinating that it diverted Hei Jiao's attention as he looked at his home with nostalgia.

"This is my, Hei Tribe's Territory!" Heu Jiao said proudly.

The Lava Crocodiles increased their speed as if reacting to their master and rushed to the foot of the entrance soon.

A closed black door of large proportion connected with the wall greeted them. Above the wall were two Rank 3 guards.

"Hmm, if it isn't Hei Jiao?" One of the guards jumped down from the wall and landed on the ground with a large thump.

Before Hei Jiao could reply, he continued while pointing a finger in their direction; "As usual, prove your identity and state your reason for entering the Tribe."

Hei Jiao sighed and grumbled internally; 'As stiff as ever.' He took out a black Gu of irregular shape, which shone for a second and went back to normal. Seeing the guard nod, He kept the Gu and took out the Letter Gu he revived from the Tribe Leader.

After the guard inspected it, He returned the Letter Gu and signaled the other guard above the wall to open the gates.

Hei Jiao nodded at them and brought Fang Huo, crossing the gate.

The guards didn't demand anything extra or have a conversation. They went back to their positions and disappeared from the outside view.

Fang Huo looked around the bustling place with people walking here and there. He already knows from Hei Jiao that, other than Hei Tribe, outsiders also live in this place as citizens, only if they received permission from the Hei Tribe itself.

Fang Huo let out a sigh. Even after deciding to expose his Extreme Talent, he still has apprehension. Because unlike what others think, only he knows he didn't have one of the Ten Extreme Physiques.

Soon under the scrutinizing gazes of Hei Tribesmen, Hei Jiao brought him to the center of the base. It is a large garden with all kinds of Mortal Materials ranging from Rank 1 and even a few Rank 5. Fang Huo could identify most amount of those, as the information came to his mind at but a glance.

In a large square stone table, the First Elder, Second, Third, and Hei Feng, the Tribe leader were sitting around while drinking a famous tea.

Hei Feng has the appearance of a man in his mid-twenties with a thin stature and medium black hair but actually, he is beyond 50 years old. He is actually the Eldest Son of a Rank 6 information path Gu Immortal and also the most talented Youngster of his generation, at least from the Hei Tribe.

"Greetings, Lord Tribe Leader." Hei Jiao bowed ninety degrees with respect and also warmth in his eyes.

Fang Huo followed suit and bowed.

Hei Feng first looked at Fang Huo as his eyes shone with a yellow color for a moment. Soon returning to normal.

He sighed and looked at Hei Jiao with helplessness; "Uncle Jiao, I told you there is no need for formalities between us."

But Hei Jiao shook his head frantically and said quickly; "How can that be? I'll fail our Ancestors if I didn't give respect to the Tribe Leader's position."

Hei Feng smiled wryly. He knew he couldn't convince this Uncle of his and left that topic. Then, he then turned his attention back to Fang Huo and smiled lightly.

"As expected of an Extreme Talent! Your name is Fang Huo, right?"

Fang Huo nodded his head and replied respectfully, "Reporting to Lord Tribe Leader! Indeed, this little one is Fang Huo."

"Very well, I expect great things from you." Hei Feng nodded lightly and said after a brief pause; "In Five Years, I'll participate in the Heroes Assembly, and if you can become a Rank 4 by that time, I'll let you join in my campaign for the Imperial Court Contest."

Hei Jiao and Elders sitting at the table widened their eyes, but no one rebutted the Tribe Leader.

Fang Huo's eyes widened, and he bowed, replying excitedly; "To speak the truth, I had long heard of Lord Tribe Leader's mighty name and it is my, Fang Huo's blessing to be able to serve under you."

While he said that, inwardly, he felt dubious at the situation going smoothly.

"Hahaha, no need to be polite." Hei Feng nodded gently and turned to Hei Jiao; "Uncle Jiao, you can enter our storage to pick whatever Gu of Rank 4 for this contribution. Also, let little Huo pick his Vital Gu and let him stay in the Fiery Lava Pit by your side."

"As that environment will suit his growth," Hei Feng said the last sentence with little hesitance.

Hei Jiao and Fang Huo bowed again one last time thanking and left the garden. While the former wildly contemplated which Gu to pick, the latter's frown deepened.

After the Four in the garden watched them till they disappeared on the horizon. They left their seats and the three Elders knelt on the ground facing a tree.

The tree blurred for a moment as a middle-aged man with an appearance resembling Hei Feng walked out.

Hei Feng in the front, looked at the man and questioned with a confused look; "Lord Father, I don't understand your decision."

The man didn't reply and walked to the head seat. He sat down and poured himself tea in a fresh cup. After taking a sip, he looked at his son and spoke in a deep voice; "He has the Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance Physique but it is a bit unusual."

Hei Feng's and the elders were shocked at the revelation. While the former's confusion deepened. They will never doubt his father's words as he is a famous and rare Information Path Rank 6 Gu Immortal in Northern Plains. But, none of them could understand his motive.

"Then are you not interested in his body, father? You can research on him to identify the unusualness." Hei Feng asked skeptically.

Hei Yin Mou, the father and Rank 6 Gu Immortal, shook his head disappointedly at his son's question. Hei Feng lowered his head in shame at that.

"Feng Er, a Ten Extreme Physique is nothing but a blessing and a curse of Heavens. But, even after millions of years, we humans can't find anything beyond that. Do you want me to waste a useful pawn for a goal that'll be a failure?" As an Information Path Gu Immortal, he'll never do something that will not benefit him or his Tribe.

"And not to mention, there have always been Ten Extreme Physiques in the past and will be so in the future. So, it isn't anything rare."

Seeing his son still not convinced, he continued; "Use him to Win the Heroes Assembly and safely Ascend. I can always do research on him if I want to in the future."

Hei Feng nodded reluctantly. He didn't want his Father to make sacrifices for his personal benefits. But both of them knew the combat powers of Ten Extreme Physiques are immense and it would be useful for their Hei Tribe to win in the Imperial Court Contest.

A measly Extreme Talent couldn't compare to the benefits the Imperial Court would bring.

Hei Feng suddenly remembered something and asked; "Did you identify the unusualness, Lord Father?"

Hei Yin Mou took another sip and replied; "Indeed, with my attainment in Information Path, I can see traces of Fire Path and Light Path on his body. Normally, Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance has always been associated with the Fire and Lightning path. And that's the only surprising thing about him."
