18 First Supreme Elder’s Scheme

Hei tribe, Iron Eagle blessed land.

This was Hei tribe's base camp, the blessed land was huge and extensive, it was small at the bottom and large at the top.

Because of Hei tribe's first generation ancestor's unique specialties, Iron Eagle blessed land had little land, but the higher up in the air one went, the larger the space.

A sky that greatly exceeded that of ordinary blessed lands had countless circular wooden eagle nests floating in it.

These eagle nests were like small hills, innumerable iron eagles rested in them. The cries of eagles resounded endlessly, when a group of eagles flew, vast numbers of them traveled in formation, it was a spectacular view.

At the highest part of this blessed land, there was a garden.

The garden's artificial mountain had a pavilion on it.

The Mountain has a special status among the residents of Blessed Land. Because, this is where the Discussion Hall is, the place Supreme Elders discuss among themselves.

Within the Discussion Hall, the expressions of the Supreme Elders were relaxed as they finished the discussion about tribe's profits and losses, as well as the conflicts with rival forces.

First Supreme Elder, at the Head seat, addressed the matter at hand. "Brothers, let us delve into the topic of our recent predicament. It appears that our High Grade resource point, the Fiery Lava Pit, has experienced a decline in productivity. We must uncover the cause behind this and devise a strategy to our losses."

Second Supreme Elder, a meticulous and analytical thinker, nodded in agreement. "Indeed, the Fiery Lava Pit has been a significant source of wealth for our tribe. We must allocate more resources and assign our most skilled Gu Masters to investigate and rectify the situation."

Third Supreme Elder, known for his wisdom and foresight, added, "In addition to our financial concerns, we must also address the conflicts with the Liu tribe. Their encroachments upon our territories have become growingly increase. It seems they are pretty confident about their position in the Imperial Court. We must strengthen our forces and consider strategic alliances to maintain our position."

Fourth Supreme Elder, a seasoned strategist, chimed in. "I concur. We should gather intelligence on the Liu tribe's movements and By doing so, we can develop countermeasures to safeguard our lands."

After the discussion on profits and rival conflicts concluded, Hei Yin Mou, the Information Path Gu Immortal responsible for finding the cause behind the Fiery Lava Pit's decline, stepped forward. He bowed respectfully before addressing the Supreme Elders.

"Esteemed Supreme Elders, I must apologize for my lack of significant findings regarding the Fiery Lava Pit. Despite my exhaustive efforts, I have only discovered an unusual frequency of Disasters and a noticeable decrease in the Earth qi within the area."

First Supreme Elder, known for his deep foundation in both strength and status, spoke up. "Ah, Yin Mou, it seems that the workings of the Heavens elude our comprehension. However, perhaps in this unknown, we may find an opportunity."

The First Supreme Elder smiled cheekily and continued: "That is why I proposed to assign that new youngster to the Fiery Lava Pit. His physique is well-suited to the fiery environment, and his aptitude in Fire Path may uncover something that we have overlooked."

The other Supreme Elders exchanged glances, Truly, First Supreme Elder is First Supreme Elder! They nodded in agreement, acknowledging the potential value in an Extreme Physique involvement in the investigation of the Fiery Lava Pit.

Hei Yin Mou, with his eyes narrowed in contemplation, responded, "Your wisdom knows no bounds, First Supreme Elder. I shall personally oversee the Fiery Lava Pit and provide him with any necessary guidance."

As the discussion came to an end, Hei Yin Mou retreated from the Discussion Hall, however in his mind already thinking about all kinds of methods to rope in Yan into his faction.

He isn't a fool, In fact, even First Supreme Elder is aware of Yin Mou's intelligence as an Information Path Gu Immortal. That's why when First Supreme Elder asked him to take in Yan, it is the same as planting a spy in his own house. But, here the spy is not associated with anyone yet.

Hei Yin Mou, with a sly smile playing on his lips, couldn't help but be intrigued by the idea of bringing Yan into his faction. The young Gu master's potential and unique Extreme Physique made him a valuable asset, especially in the investigation of the Fiery Lava Pit and Heroes Assembly.

Hei Yin Mou pondered on the best approach to recruit Yan, He couldn't reveal his true intentions right away, as it would arouse suspicion and potentially endanger the mission. He had to tread carefully and ensure that his true intentions remained hidden from prying eyes.

Little did he know, this notion of him would set in motion a chain of events that would not only impact the investigation of the Fiery Lava Pit but also the entire Northern Plains.

…..

A Rank 1 Letter Gu flew with the winds of the hot summer, reaching a crudely made Tree-house among the few trees in the vicinity.

Creak.

Windows made way as a black-sleeved hand caught the Letter Gu gently.

Taking it in his hands, Yan saw the contents in it in a single glance.

"Another Mission?" He muttered tiredly.

It's already his tenth mission since he advanced to become an Upper stage Rank 1 Gu master.

"Hmm, something unusual… it seems to be in the Fiery Field? But, isn't that area typically restricted to Elites like myself?" Storing the Letter Gu in his Aperture, Yan set off towards the Mission Hall to receive full details.

"Here, take this." As he entered the Mission Hall, Hei Shi tossed a Letter in his direction. It seemed that he had been awaiting Yan's arrival.

"Thank you, Senior Shi," Yan felt confused inwardly, what could cause a Rank 4 Gu master to wait?

He held back his confusion and combed through the Letter. Instantly, realization struck him.

"Assistance in Refining Fire Path Gu worms and Guarding the Formation. Mission Points-100/day"

Hei Shi smiled and offered an explanation: "Surprised, kid? When we discovered that you, a Rank 1 Gu master, successfully refined a Rank 2 Gu worm in just seven attempts, we knew that your talent extended beyond the Fire Path. You possess a gift for the Refinement path as well."

Yan looked up from the letter, his tired eyes widening with surprise: "I... I didn't think my abilities in the Refinement path were noteworthy," Yan stammered, his voice betraying his mind. "But if you believe I can be of assistance, then I am honored to accept this mission."

Hei Shi chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Don't underestimate yourself, young man. Talent like yours is rare to come by. We have been keeping a close eye on your progress, and your potential in both Fire Path and Refinement path is undeniable."

Yan's eyes glinted with disdain inwardly as he thought, 'Stalking, and you have the audacity to be proud of it?'

"Thank you, Senior Shi," Yan said, his voice steadier now. "I will do my best to assist in refining the Fire Path Gu worms and guarding the formation. I won't let you down."

Hei Shi nodded approvingly. "I have faith in your abilities, Yan. Remember, this mission is not just about earning Mission Points, but also about honing your skills and pushing your limits."

Yan's eyes gleamed with a hint of anticipation as he exited the Mission Hall. The corners of his mouth curled into a sly smile, "Oh, how they underestimate me,"
