No Sleep.

Wei Huan gave a low whistle, alerting the others to the fact that a beast was outside.

The other boys as well as Wei Jia walked out of their tents, walking outside.

The boar slowly narrowed its eyes at Wei Huan and the others. The boar slowly walked towards the camp, the boys keeping a close eye on it, making sure it didn't attack.

Wei Huan, attempting to distract the boar, pulled out a piece of leftover boar meat from a small wooden box. He then threw it away from the camp, towards the left of the boar.

All the other boys looked at him like he was crazy, Wei Lin slowly walked towards Wei Huan before whispering in his ear,

"Are you really trying to bribe a beast?!"

"If it works on dogs, why wouldn't it work on a boar?" Wei Huan asked rhetorically,

"This isn't a dog! It's a rank two beast y'know…."

"Whatever, just continue looking at it."

The Steel Boar walked towards the piece of meat before sniffing it. The boar seemed to grow angry, it snarled at the group of boys only a couple dozen meters away.

Its gigantic figure, twice the size of any ordinary boar, charged towards the camp, trampling on any grass in its way. It crashed into the tents with its huge body, shattering the wood and knocking them down.

The boys, along with the rank two guide, jumped towards their sides, dodging the charge of the boar. In a triangle, Wei Huan standing towards the right of the boar, Hei Luo towards its left and Hei Gang behind it.

"Uh Oh" Hei Luo said, feeling concerned,

"Hey, Big Brother Wei Jia, you mind helping us?" Hei Gang asked shamelessly,

"You can handle it on your own, I'm sure" Wei Jia said, smiling slyly,

"You really expect us to jump ranks against a beast?!" Hei Luo asked,

"Yes" Wei Jia simply replied,

"Really?!" Hei Lin exclaimed, feeling nervous,

"Shut up and focus on the boar!" Wei Huan chided, summoning a dark sword.

The boar was still snarling at the boys, baring its tusks. The boar turned around quickly and charged towards Hei Luo, deeming him as the weakest.

Hei Luo jumped to the side once more, barely dodging the charge of the boar.

The boar quickly came to a stop, turning towards Hei Luo once more.

Wei Huan ran towards it, attempting to slash at its tough hide from its left side.

The sword simply bounced off of its hide, leaving only a slight mark.

The sound of metal banging against metal alerted the boar towards the attack. It quickly turned around, attempting to attack Wei Huan using its long tusks.

Wei Huan barely dodged, moving backwards, stumbled and fell on his back. He suddenly heard a large bang sound as the boar was pushed sideways.

Hei Lin had used his Rock Boulder Gu to launch a large boulder towards the boar . Wei Huan quickly stood up and moved backwards, balancing himself. The boar turned towards Hei Lin, flailing wildly attempting to impale him. Hei Lin jumped backwards and fled.

Hei Gang jumped in between and caught the Steel Boar's tusks, entering a kind of tug of war with the beast. Small mounds of dirt formed underneath his feet as he was pushed back.

Hei Luo ran behind him and used his Fire Pellet Gu, firing a small fire pellet at the eyes of the beast. The beast flailed wildly, whimpering from the pain. Hei Gang was thrown backwards, falling down. Wei Huan eyes darted around, examining the body of the boar as he thought:

"We can't beat this thing if something doesn't change. My primeval essence is already used up almost halfway."

"What can we do?"

"We can't get past its tough hide, there has to be some weak point in its body."

"It's eyes? No, we can't get close enough. It's ears? No, that wouldn't do enough damage."

"The boar from earlier…. It had a soft white underside. Does this boar have it too?"

"Wei Gang! Flip this boar over using your Beetle Strength Gu!" Wei Huan said,

"Got it, Wei Huan!" Wei Gang replied,

Wei Gang dashed towards the sides of the boar, almost getting hit by its tusks. Wei Gang put his arms on the upper half of the midsection of the boar, pushing it, making the boar fall on its side.

Wei Huan ran his arms along the blade of his Dark Sword, covering it with the venom produced by Wasp Poison Gu. He ran towards the boar, stabbing and slashing at its underbelly, making its blood and insides fall outwards, making it whimper in pain.

All of the boys moved backwards, waiting for some kind of reaction from the boar.

The 'Steel Boar' flailed wildly until it began to slow down, twitching until it finally came to a stop. The Steel Boar had died.

"We beat a rank two beast!" Hei Lin celebrated,

"We're the best!" Hei Gang said,

"We did quite good." Hei Luo agreed,

The 4 boys all went closer to each other, praising themselves and boasting of their strength.

"The other teams definitely didn't do this." Wei Huan said while smiling,

Wei Jia simply sat behind, smiling.

"Calm down, little brothers. Don't get too full of yourselves now."

"After all, jumping ranks isn't much of an accomplishment when you have the advantage of numbers, especially if it's against a beast"

"Don't be a party pooper, Big brother" Wei Huan replied,

'What the hell is a party pooper?!' Wei Jia thought,

"Well, even in my own succession trial, something so exciting hadn't happened." Wei Jia said to the boys,

"Whatever, I'm tired, let's just sleep…" Hei Lin said,

"Oh come on, have some energy. This was our first real fight as a gu master" Wei Huan said, attempting to motivate Hei Lin,

"I'm tired too, Wei Huan." Hei Luo said,

"Fine… Let's just sleep." Wei Huan said begrudgingly,

"Where are our tents?!" Hei Lin exclaimed,

"The boar knocked them down, remember?" Hei Gang replied,

The boys could only think one word:

"Fuck."
