Chapter 17 - Shai Yang vs. Shai Bo

The following fights followed without much surprise. Shai Yang only faced Level 1 Gu Masters, and he didn't have much difficulty in winning.

There were 3 Level 2 Gu Masters besides Shai Yang and Shai Bo, but the first one didn't face any, making it to the final.

As for Shai Bo he had to face two of them until he made it to the final, having revealed his Gu Worms.

'Shai Bo has the Gu of the Level 2 Cloud Rope, this Gu is the evolution of the Gu of the Level 1 Sticky Cloud and specializes in restraint by creating a light gray cloud trace that resembles a rope with the purpose of binding the user.'

'His other Gu is Level 2 Cloud Armor, it creates a layer of cloud on the person's torso and limbs and can absorb impacts and other damage.'

'He also possesses the Level 2 Light Cloud Gu, a Movement Gu that can make the Gu Master lighter without losing his strength.'

'His last Gu, as well as the other three is from the Cloud Path, the Gu of the Suffocating Mist Level 1, can create a mist that when in contact with the opponent absorbs body gases such as oxygen, causing breathing problems , making it difficult to fight.'

'Even if this last one is only Level 1 it is the most dangerous for me, after all, the Obstacle of Wisdom generates obstacles that are good against physical attacks and initiating a defense from a distance, but leaves gaps making it easy for gases to pass through them.'

"Shai Yang, Level 2 Intermediate Stage vs. Shai Bo Level 2 Intermediate Stage."

When Shai Quan spoke, they both climbed into the arena, and at the Elder's signal they started.

More than 30 Vajra Thoughts stormed the field, most scattering as they approached Shai Bo, the rest of the thoughts centered around Shai Yang.

The Wisdom Obstacle Gu increased the resistance of thoughts while slowing their speed, so having thoughts ready to be used as defense was a good idea.

Shai Bo used his Movement Gu and easily dodged the few thoughts that haunted him as he advanced on Shai Yang.

Shai Yang activated the Obstacle of Wisdom converting the thoughts around him into obstacles, while creating more Vajra thoughts.

Shai Bo saw this and used the Cloud Rope to send a gray cloud rope to bind Shai Yang. The obstacles of thoughts flew to block the rope, that's when Shai Yang noticed a small white cloud crossing his defense and coming towards him, it was the Gu of the Suffocating Mist.

"Interesting but..."

When the white mist was close to hitting Shai Yang a lot of Vajra thoughts popped out of his mind and blocked the mist as they self-detonated. When the detonations stopped there was no more white mist.

Shai Yang suffered some scratches and his clothes were torn because the self-detonation was too close.

'Damn it...'

Shai Bo's heart sank.

'My plan was to win quickly, so that Shai Yang would not have time to accumulate Vajra Thoughts, but I didn't imagine  he could store so many of these thoughts in his mind. Vajra thinking is not good for thinking, if it stayed in Master Gu's mind and he used it by mistake, he would end up making a fatal mistake, so I didn't imagine that Shai Yang would store many Vajra Thoughts in his mind, it seems that his ability to manipulate is very good.'

Shai Yang continued to generate more thoughts, easily blocking Shai Bo's attacks.

At one point the arena was full of thoughts and Shai Yang was calm as water.

'It will be almost impossible for Shai Bo to win now, unless he has an area attack that can destroy all my thoughts, which is very unlikely.'
