The Time Investigators and Suspicions part III

When everyone was highly anticipating the appraisals that would appear on top of his head, and when that appraisals meant the approval of the mysterious Time Stone's will to aid their Di Family, the mysterious Time Stone remained still, completely ignoring Di Tian Zhi's existence.

The awaited light of appraisals didn't occur.

Di Tian Zhi was speechless along with everyone except for their parents who was the the twin's paternal grandparents.

Di Tian was their Clan Patriarch that time, and someone who had received the appraisals of Time Stone during his own Induction Ceremony, so he also knows some things that were only allowed to be known by specific individuals.

The Time Stone would only gave its appraisals to one individual on a generation. If the individual doesn't meet the required appraisals and potentials needed, it wouldn't gave its aid. And the requirements are expectedly high but it also mostly lies on the individual's own inborn latent potentials. Acquired latent potentials don't qualify.

Although Di Tian Zhi was already highly skilled and powerful by then, he wasn't the most powerful amongst his peers nor does he have the highest latent potentials in his generation, thus, the Time Stone didn't even made a slight reaction to his presence.

Di Tian can only let out a sigh silently while looking at his confused and dejected son.

Di Tian Zhi was an excellent seed alas his older brother is more excellent. But Di Tian Yu was already disqualified because their strict family rules, and can only stand at the far corner, hopelessly watching as his supposed to be Induction Ceremony was being prepared for and performed by his younger brother.

It wasn't because he was forced to watch but he just doesn't care about the title and all the privileges it contains. Di Tian Yu had a cold and aloof persona outside but he was actually free spirited and doesn't want to be bound by rules, so for him, being disqualified was a blessing. He came to attend his younger brother's Induction Ceremony to witness the event, and congratulate his younger brother right after.

Actually, Di Tian knows about all of this so he didn't wholeheartedly stop the disqualification.

He knew his children.

Between the two, although Di Tian Yu would be a great leader. But he wouldn't be as free and happy as wants to be, while the sunny and friendly personality of his youngest was good and had high latent potentials as well, Di Tian Zhi was too competitive.

Di Tian worries that the competitive nature of his youngest son would made him bitter to his older brother who has better latent potentials despite his eldest keeping it all to himself.

But in Di Tian's during the important deciding moments of whether to disqualify his eldest and elect his youngest or not was weighing on his mind, the foreseen birth of his grandchildren was made.

After that, the following events smoothly happened. There was no conflicts nor were there disagreements. Everything was going smoothly and happily until Di Tian took a glimpse on his eldest and had a great shock of his old life!

Di Tian Yu was standing aloof yet confused at a remote corner being lighted by a ray of light, and before everyone can react, he was forcibly floated into the air and was sent flying in front of the Time Stone to everyone's flabbergasted and confused faces, while innocent little brother, Di Tian Zhi was unceremoniously flanged to the side by the aura the Time Stone suddenly emitted.

Eyes bulging out, bodies stiffened, and mouths were opened in varying sizes, that maybe different kinds of eggs would fit, that was the expressions everyone had. Even the all-knowing Di Tian was caught off guard. There were no records of this happening before!

And just like that, as if nothing unnatural happened, the appraisals appeared on top of Di Tian Yu's head before forming into a Time Halo, symbolizing the appreciation and end of the Induction Ceremony.

After that event, discussions of whether to reinstate Di Tian Yu began. Di Tian was kept busy by reading through either scrolls or notes of petitions and request. It was the hottest topic and Di Tian Zhi was too dejected.

He was delivered an enormous blow right in front of all the higher ups and promising successors. He felt so bitter and started his pity party by looking down on his older brother, justifying the newly founded intense dislike to his older brother and the humiliations he felt that day.

While Di Tian Zhi was in the midst of his pity party, and when everyone was greatly anticipating a shift of power inside their clan for the lack of excitement in their daily lives, Di Tian Yu gathered everyone for a meeting.

He invited all the people who attended the Induction Ceremony. And when everyone came, he swiftly brought on the pressing matter and declared his intentions to support his younger brother to be the next leader, and he wouldn't change his mind no matter what.

When Di Tian heard his eldest saying this in front of everyone, he can't help but feel regret for him. But he was also a happy and proud father. He has such a good child!

Who wouldn't be proud to have a son who's also decisive and have a strong character?

Heh… He was was surely a proud father! Di Tian was beaming from ear to ear with his bright smile.
