Revenge Queen

Athena had lived a life of lies, her unconditional love for her family had blinded her senses and closed her eyes to all of the warning signs the universe sent to her. After going through hell and not coming out of it, she decides to take her own life and find a valid reason to live in hell. She was saved by a busybody that she had learnt to love and busybody had become her mother over the years. In the midst of all of the chaos; revenge and self love, worth and all the messy things that come with life, she has her biggest fan who indulges her in every thing she sets her mind to do. In the Greek mythology, Eros is known as the god of love but the Eros that walked into Athena's life wasn't wired to love, he was made to protect the ones he loved and bring war to anyone that threatened them.

Chapter One

She stood at the railings her feet barely on the thin rod, her hair danced alongside her wavering thin body that was steadily being caressed by the boisterous wind. Her eyes scanned the busy road below; cars moved on without any care, people trodded the roads like they had there hearts in their hands, their voices ringing into her ears without mercy, she was hyperaware of everything and nothing seemed to escape her sight.

In a once busy cafe, a woman dusted her apron, her eye brimming with pride her effort would never be in vain, she tried very hard to be were she was now, nothing could fill her heart but joy and gladness, although this wasn't her mainstream but this was her joy and hobby.

She knew somewhere in the world that at this moment at which she was in despair and buried alive in her death, someone somewhere was happy in fact joyful to death.

She rubbed her hands clean with a napkin she held in her hands, few walks to turning of the light and on her way to her home, something caught her eyes, holding her from moving further from her intended goal. Swiftly but surely she turned sharply to the direction of her eye line, she watched totally strucked to the ground, her feet stayed rooted to the terrace floor unaligned to the voice that screamed at her to run.

Her thin hand was suddenly tugged backward before she felt her body falling towards the floor and not in the way she had expected; of course she knew she was going to end it but that sweet and meticulously planned event had been obstructed by some busybody.

With these thoughts spiralling in her small head she couldn't ignore the pain coursing through her weak body, neither could she ignore the feeling of a hand that was wrapped firmly around her thin waist and the grunt that came from the owner's.

"What do you think you were doing?" A woman's voice demanded from across the tiny woman.

"What did it look like?" Her reply came back rather nonchalantly as her eyes seemed to be taking in the beauty of the well lit sitting room; the grey colored couch sat beautifully with niagara colored pillows spread on each of the couches, the fireplace spreading warmth and giving strength to the light that was hidden and buried in the furnace of fire and terrible darkness in her.

"Give me a number to reach your family" The beautiful brown haired woman said from opposite her reaching for the phone that sat on the table.

"I don't have a family" She whispered looking at her to see that the light that illuminated from the phone shone brightly in her eyes giving her the sweet beauty of her so ever green eyes.

"Any friends?" She asked quickly getting a hold of herself, the shock her eyes and face had morphed into, were completely wiped away with nothing left but a small smile on her lively red lips.

"None"

"Then I guess no place to stay either" She smiled a full blown smile. "So sweetheart you staying here, welcome to my abode" She swung her hands by her side showing off the house.

This was a change; acceptance.

She did not want to stay with the kind woman without payment although Dimitra would not hear anything.

As years went by, Athena began to feel disgusted by herself, how did she think that ending her life would solve everything, she should have tried to fight to get back her life, she had desired to fight till the end and destroy the people who tried to destroy her, as she was now, she thought of this life as a rebirth, she had been reborn to destroy whoever wanted to destroy her and they wouldn't be able to beat her.

Since they wanted to destroy a sixteen year old girl she would work to give them tenfold of what they gave her she'd give herself a six years plan and make sure they paid dearly, there was no rush, she just had to hold the reins and start her journey.

Surely two years later, she had gotten enough time to think and pull things to the right track, Athena had long gone under the radar.

"No school?" Dimitra poked her fine head through the door, looking at her daughter with a soft gaze and beautiful smile.

"I'm about to leave" Athena wore her backpack, her school uniform kept neat, clean and simple, only that there was nothing like simplicity in Athena's dictionary.

Her beautiful face and figure just did justice to the uniform; her dress shirt was unbuttoned at the top and her tie laid losely on it, her jacket accentuated her slim waist, her skirt showcased her long legs and her firey red hair slept beautifully on her pretty head.

"Breakfast first" Dimitra took hold of her backpack and held her by the elbow.

Athena quickly walked to her seat, the sweetly looking pancake and maple syrup dripping beautifully on the stacked up pancakes.

"Sweet Jesus don't these babies look beautiful?" Athena drooled on their beauties.

"Yes yes and they taste better now yum yum eat up" Dimitra smiled at her before looking back to doing the dishes.

After doing her tummy justice she walked over to do her dishes.

"Queen I'm leaving" Athena walked towards a dressed up Dimitra and gave a kiss.

Athena had long before learnt that there were other beauties in this world; your family didn't have to be your birth family, your family was one who loved you and would always be there during tough times.

"Are you going to be fine?" Dimitra asked smiling sadly as she looked at the girl walking away with her hands on her backpack.

"Yes, mum don't worry" Athena smiled walking back to kiss her and reassure her.

Dimitra was worried for Athena, last year Athena suddenly decided to transfer to another school, she had asked her several times why she suddenly decided to, but all of her questions met a wall, she supported her decisions but she couldn't help but think that something big had happened for this decision.

With a sigh she smiled at her daughter's fading figure, she quickly went to her room to go begin her day.

She had an appointment at the beauty salon, one of her biggest client had just returned from her vacation and wanted to refresh herself.

Of course she had top tier beauticians who could have done the job but some of the top client were selective and only trusted themsleves to her, after she was a walking beauty; Dimitra.

She threw in a sun shade glasses and walked towards her yellow coloured ford mustang.

Dimitra would burn the world for any unfortunate soul who tried to destroy her girl, Athena was the sun that came to brighten her darkness and she would never joked with her little sunshine, how she wanted to destroy the unfortunate bastards that called her their child, but Athena talked her out of it she said that time was a gift she'd give them before she broke them, she had to prepare strongly to destroy their world and cause chaos.

With a shake of her head, she tried to put her head back in the game, she whistled her head to the salon, her joy emitting from her.

She stopped at the red light while jamming her head to her incoherent whistle before deciding to give herself some real beats, she turned up the radio and waited to move.

"Oh this scoundrel" Dimitra scowled at the impatient man before hitting the wheel, she hissed at him and moved, she had said her daily mantra and made a promise to herself to not be angry at useless beings and take her time and do something more useful.

She took her car to the underground parking lot and parked her car in her spot, she walked to the lift and shook her head to the elevator music.

"Good morning ma" Louisa, Dimitra's secretary quickly walked away from her gossip squads when she saw her boss, all of the workers had stopped what they were doing to greet there boss and immerse themselves with the beauty of the woman in front of them dressed in sky blue suit pants and jacket with a black heeled stiletto.

"Have they arrived?" She nodded her head at them before turning her head to Louisa.

"No ma, but Lady Odele is five minutes away from here" Louisa walked quickly to meet up with her speeding boss.

Dimitra walked smartly and fast but still she felt no discomfort even on the 5 inched heels she wore.

"Okay" Dimitra nodded and walked into her office, softly closing the door behind her.

She walked to her table and pressed a button, the formely white and ash colour designed wall turned to a transparent glass, although not high but it showed her efforts over the years, she was a few feets from the ground and had a good view, she was pleased at how far she had come.

With a smile she turned towards the door and had a countdown in her head while she watched the door open when it hit one.
