Chapter 31 My Wife, Did You Forget This Thing?

Her mind was in a mess, like a layer of mist enveloping her. She seemed as if she were steamed like a steamed bun in a drawer, feeling uncomfortable and suffocated. She suddenly felt that an ax split the layer of sultry steam, then saw that Alfred was holding the ax in his hand.

"Alfred— " With a sudden cry, Lauren sat up from the bed with a start. She was in a daze and squinted to find that she was actually sleeping in the ward.

She remembered that Alfred was injured because of her, and his injuries were serious. Fortunately, he was fine now.

After waking up, she was not worried about her stiff legs but Alfred. Lauren lowered her head. All the memory flashed through her mind.

Alfred hurt her in various ways before, but after her heart died, he came to pester her. He almost died in an operation because of her.

Lauren thought to herself, "Alfred, I trust you now,"
