CHAPTER SIX

Athena took a deep breath and stepped into the restaurant. It looked so fancy and beautiful. She took off her coat and revealed the strapless red dress underneath. She felt a little insecure about her exposed scars but she sucked it in and strutted towards their cubicle.

Her steps faltered, the closer she got to the area. She tightened her grip on her purse and moved on. She pulled the door open and was taken aback when she saw all the familiar faces. She looked down at her scars and then back at the people.

" Athena! You made it. I bet you couldn't reject my offer ". Rosita said with a smile.

" I wanted to give something back to you ". Athena said as she fixed my eyes on her.

" Athena....you're still as beautiful as ever ". Diego said

She turned to look at him and her anger suddenly surged. His sleazy face had no remorse and it made her sick to her stomach.

" Diego come on now. You didn't say that about me ". Rosita said as she caressed his thighs.

Diego pushed her hand away and moved closer to Athena. Athena smiled at Rosita and turned to face Diego. As much as it repulsed her, she had to play it cool and get over with it. While she ate and drank, she kept staring at the clock hoping that all of this would be over soon. She reached for her phone and saw a text message from Campos.

" Can you meet me behind Antwan's bakery when you're done? ". The text read.

" Okay. I'll call you when I'm done ". She replied.

She stared at the phones for a while, waiting for him to reply.

" What are you looking at princess?". Diego said and locked his finger in her curls.

" I heard you're married ". Athena said and pulled his hand out of her hair.

" It doesn't matter ". He said as kicked his lips.

Athena rolled her eyes and moved away. She grabbed a glass of water and tried to drink away her disgust.

" I don't understand why you keep talking to her Diego. Haven't you had enough of her? Almost every man here has had their way with her. She has nothing to offer you ". Rosita said and emptied her wine glass on Athena.

Athena wiped the liquid off her face and looked around the table. Everyone was playing a video...her video. She looked down at her phone and she saw it...Diego and the other boys were having their way with her as she lay unconscious.

Her eyes grew red with rage as she picked up her soup bowl and dumped a bowl of hot soup over Rosita's head. She walked over to her, grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head against the table. She pulled her back up and slammed it down again.

" Are you all still watching it? ". She yelled as she looked up at the bewildered faces before her.

Murmurs passed across the room as a bunch of people picked up their bags and left. Athena pulled Rosita up by her hair and dragged her out of the cubicle. She looked back at Diego who had been watching in amusement and smiled before walking out.

" Let's talk ". She whispered in Rosita's ear.

Athena walked into the empty bathroom and threw Rosita to the floor

" You stupid bitch.....how

Athena reached forward and slapped her across the face before she could finish her sentence. Rosita clutched her face and tried to regain her balance but Athena held her by her hair, throwing reapeted slaps until she felt blood in her mouth.

" Fuck!!! "

Athena screamed as she watched Rosita cough out blood. She could feel her anger surging again as she watched Rosita drag herself up.

" Athena....

" Does that feel good? Huh....does it? "

Athena said and threw a kick to Rosita's chest. She felt happy as she watched her writhe in pain. She crouched down to her level and began patting her head softly.

" Athena....

" Beg me....ask me to spare you "

" I'm sorry "

" I don't want an apology. Beg me....go on ". Athena said and slapped her across the face.

" Please....please don't hurt me. Athena I beg you....please "

Athena smiled down at her but her smile suddenly vanished. She hadn't had enough.

" I should leave you something to remember me by "

She grabbed Rosita's hand and stood on her fingers. Athena grimaced at the panic in her eyes before stomping on her fingers.

After a while, Athena walked out of the bathroom, followed by Rosita. She walked over to her seat and grabbed her purse.

" Are you leaving? "

" Yes "

" Find me. Let's have fun ". Diego said and stroked her face.

She looked down at the business card he shoved in her hand and smiled.

" I will and I'll do something really nice to you. Take care of Rosita....she had an accident ". Athena said and walked out, leaving everyone stunned.

After leaving the party, she texted Campos but he wasn't replying so she called him.

" Campos....I'm on my way. I got you some expensive snacks "

" Don't come. I'm really sorry....I should have never thought about letting you come here. I'm really sorry Athena. I'll take care of my mess myself. I love you ". Campos said and hung up.
