So, starting August 18, Webnovel changed the book voting system. Readers who spend coins on the app would be given golden tickets that they could use to support the books they love further.
The powerstone ranking has gone to the bottom and top books will be ranked based on golden tickets now (but powerstones are still useful too for those who wish to support especially those readers who uses fast passes instead of unlocking premium chapters with coins).
The books with the most golden tickets will get special treatment from Webnovel: i.e, the books will be given features and exposure. So, getting as many golden tickets as possible is extremely important for books.
Most authors will offer mass releases to bribe readers to vote all their golden tickets to their books so the books can go up in golden ticket ranking. Not only it's beneficial for the book to get features from Webnovel, but it could also increase a book's prestige.
This is how you will be getting your golden tickets:
1. If you spent >300 coins last month, you will get 1 golden ticket on the 1st of the month.
2. If you have a membership you will get another golden ticket.
3. You will get another golden ticket for every 500 coins spent on unlocking chapters and purchasing privilege. So, if you purchase 2000 coins tier privilege, you will get additional 4 tickets.
4. Every >300-coin gift you give a book will automatically give that book a golden ticket. For example, a massage chair (500 coins) will give the book 1 golden ticket, a luxury car (1000 coins) will give the book 3 golden tickets, a dragon (2000 coins) will give the book 6 golden tickets, a magic castle (5000 coins) will give the book 16 golden tickets, Etc.
Unfortunately, smaller gifts cannot be combined to give a golden ticket for the book.

ADDTL INFO: SUMMONING PENS
To improve interactivity with authors, readers can use 200 POINTS (not coins) to exchange for a Summoning Pen. When an author receives a Summoning Pen, a number will appear on Inkstone to indicate the anticipation readers have, as well as a Release Bonus Chapter button. Authors can answer the call by clicking on the button. After releasing the chapter, the number will drop to zero. Readers who used a Summoning Pen will be notified that the author has released a chapter for them.
Although, please take note that writing schedule of authors aren't always fixed while some have other jobs to juggle before they could write. We still need to rest to be able to give and update for the next days :)
As for my writing schedule, I am currently hustling an 8am-5pm day job, while I write as much as I can from 6pm-12mn and sleep at 1am (which gives me about 4-5hrs min to 6hrs tops of sleep). This usually takes a toll on my health, as I need to wake up at 6-7am to get ready for work and sometimes I purposely miss breakfast too haha.
So please if ever I do receive summoning pens, I would want to let my dear readers know that I can only give additional chapters on the weekend when I have more time to write and plot things at a steady pace :)
