To Start Everything

EMILY

Today is the day of my partial surgery. I am nervous because it is going to affect my identity, but it's good that this will end too and after that, I will be able to live my life freely.

I have decided that from now on, I will not live in fear. If Thomas ever crosses my path, then he will have to bear the brunt of new Emily, it's enough of being caught in four walls.

I get up from my bed and look at myself in the mirror and remove the scarf from my face. If the mark on my face is removed, I will be beautiful again.

I have a long brown hair, but now it has lost its shine. My eyes have brown shade, but it has no life inside. I had a slim figure,, but I put an on a lot of weight in these 3 years.

Now it's time to revive all the things which I have lost in the path, and today is the beginning of everything.

I take a bath with a motive to wash away all the traces of past inside and outside the body. I wore my yellow top with black pants,

I made a braid today, then covers my face with a scarf and gets ready for my surgery. Now I reach the breakfast table with no problem.

"Look mamma, aunt is on time today" angel said pointing fingers at me

"You are looking good Emily" Tasha compliments me and serve me the breakfast

"You are looking cheerful, it's not like I am complaining but I am asking for curiosity" Aron asked me and Tasha has full attention on me and little angel is busy in having her food, her full concentration is on gripping of spoon, so she is not concentrated on our talks.

"There is no doubt that I am happy today because I am going to start my new life. I can enjoy my life as I wanted to after surgery," I said and they both shared a nervous look

"Is there something need to know," I asked them

"Nothing Emily, we were just worried about the whole thing because we thought that you would not take it well, but we are happy to see your positive outlook," Aron said, and I smiled

"Sweetie I really want to come with you, but angel has something urgent came up in the school and one of the parents needs to be there but trust me as soon as I finished there I will come to you," Tasha said with guilt in her eyes

"It's fine. I can understand and Aron is with me, so I know everything will be fine," I said, and she smiled at me

"Baby, you don't need to worry. I will handle everything," Aron said to her. Then we all finish our breakfast, Tasha, and angel left in one, car not without wishing me luck.

Aron and I sit in the other car and start our journey towards new life hospital. We reach the hospital in half an hour, then we entered our doctor's cabin, and he told me to change for surgery.

I wear the hospital gown and wait for Aron and doctor in operation theater. After what feels like eternity but it's only 10 minutes, then Aron come to my room.

"Are you ready" he asked me

"I think I am ready more than I ever will be because I want to end this phase of my life as soon as possible," I said to him, and he take a seat on the chair which is beside my bed

"When you were changing, I had a word with doctor, and he said after the surgery is done you cannot see your face for 2 days because you are habitual to your old face, and you might get scared looking at your new identity, but that doesn't mean that you will not look good.

Basically, he is talking about the human tendencies to react towards change," he told me and for a while, I panic, but I calm myself

"Lets destiny handles everything" I said and Aron kissed my forehead like a big brother and this means a lot to me, it gives me strength and helps me to know that there are still people who love me.

"All the best my strongest girl, I will be waiting for you outside" he said and left me then a team of doctor enters inside and gave me an injection, after that, everything went blur

THOMAS

I entered into my cabin after dealing with that father and daughter duo. It's enough of everyone of using Emily name against me.

I lost a lot of things because of her. People lost their trust in me as a leader and this is not a good sign because they will be against me sooner or later and a leader is nothing without its followers.

I don't blame them for not trusting me because if I can't stop my future bride to run, then how can they feel that I am responsible? The wounds are still fresh, but now it's time to put the ointment on them?

I make sure that everyone here fears me and does not doubt any of my opinion. I pick up my phone and dialed a number.

"Hey it's Thomas," I said and the person on the other end of the call chuckled

"Good afternoon Italian mafia and May I know the reason behind your calling," he asked me, and it is one of the Matt brothers, Ethan

"Ethan, I don't have the time for bullshit, and you know the reason I called you because you are interfering in my business," I said to him

"Look Thomas, I got the contract when you were searching for some girl, so I took the advantage of the situation and I don't think I am willing to give up," he said to me with arrogance in his voice, but soon I will show him his real position

"Are you sure you are not ready to give up" I asked him in final tone

"The answer is same mafia boss," he said and this is the start of his destruction

"Then wait for your empire to end," I said and cut the call. They don't know who they messed up with.
