4 4. Be a wife

Davina sat on the edge bed, in Revan's room. The luxurious room with shades of gray looks very elegant with some beautiful interiors that decorate every side of the room.

A pair of beautiful Davina beads explored the entire room carefully. Looks very different from the room. Even if compared to the area there is not one-quarter of the luxurious rooms.

Not long after, Revan came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.

Seeing Revan who only came out wearing a towel and shirtless, Davina nervous. Her heart was beating faster than before.

"You didn't shower?" Revan asked while wiping his wet hair with a small towel.

Davina did not answer. She remained silent and lowered her head in fear. Her husband smiled faintly and approached her.

The man sat beside Davina, while Davina shifted slightly away from Revan.

"Why? Don't be afraid, I won't do anything to you," Revan softly whispered.

"I... I didn't mean it like that..." Davina said feeling bad. She knows that this is their first night, but after all, she is not ready for the status she holds today, which is to become a wife.

"I understand what you mean don't worry, I won't cross my limits if you don't give me permission," said Revan.

Davina who heard the statement from her husband immediately turned around for a moment. Does that mean her husband wants to understand that she's still not ready? that's what's on Davina's mind right now.

"S-sorry..." Davina whispered.

"No problem. You take a rest, you must be tired because of the reception earlier," said Revan with a faint smile.

Davina nodded her head again. "I... I'll take a shower first," she said. The beautiful woman stood up from her seat and went to the bathroom.

"Wait a minute," said Revan.

Davina turned to look at her handsome husband.

"What is it?" She asked not understanding.

"Please don't talk too politely with me. I am your husband, not your boss. So, you better use a more casual speech. Do you understand?" Revan said firmly.

"Yes. Ah, I mean... I understand," said Davina with a smile.

"Good. Now you can go to take a shower. I'll change."

"Yes," concluded Davina and left Revan.

Revan smiled at his wife's shy behavior.

"How can a girl who is already a wife act like that? You're lucky enough that I want to marry you," Revan muttered. The handsome man lay down after changing clothes. He slowly closed his eyes until he picked up a dream.

Davina is still sitting in the bathroom closet and contemplating. She is grateful for marrying a man who has an understanding nature like Revan.

At first, Davina thought that Revan was an arrogant and cold man for using his power to marry her. However, today she began to see the good side of Revan, whom she just met.

"At least he's being nice to me," Davina muttered with a relieved smile.

finished bathing, Davina came out of the bathroom and saw Revan who was fallen asleep.

Slowly she walked closer to Revan and saw her husband who was fallen asleep.

"I'm sorry for having a bad opinion of you, Revan..." Davina whispered while adjusting the blanket covering Revan's body.

The next day, Davina woke up very early to prepare breakfast along with several maids at Revan's luxurious house. Her hand was busy working with cooking utensils and also occasionally tasting the taste of the food whether she thought it was right or something was missing.

It's 06:00 and Alina has just come out of her room.

"You know how to cook?"

Alina's question distracted Davina who was busy working in the kitchen.

"Mom, You awake," Davina greeted when she saw her mother-in-law walking toward her.

"Of course. Mommy just wanted to cook because Revan missed mommy's cooking. but, it doesn't look like it will anymore..." Alina said teasing Davina a little.

Davina smiled awkwardly at her mother-in-law's words.

"Is there anything Mommy can help with?" asked Alina.

"No. No need, Mom. I can cook myself. Mommy doesn't have to bother helping me," Davina said quickly.

"No problem. Mommy will give Revan's favorite recipe. And again, Revan is allergic to pepper. So, make sure not to use pepper," said Alina attentively.

Davina nodded her head in understanding. Alina was immediately busy helping her daughter-in-law prepare breakfast. During this time she was a little lonely because she lived alone, while Revan's brother and his wife also lived in different places.

Seeing Davina who was very kind made Alina like her daughter-in-law even more. She is happy and sad when she remembers the reason why Revan married Davina.

After finishing preparing food on the dining table, Alina sat on Davina's body calmly.

"There's something mommy wants to ask you," said Alina to her youngest daughter-in-law.

"Yes, Mom," said Davina.

"Are you not depressed about this marriage?" Ask Alina.

"What do you mean, mom?"

"Mommy knows, you married Revan because Revan offered a high position to your uncle. However, this concerns your happiness and future, Davina..." Alina whispered with concern.

Davina smiled faintly and took her mother-in-law's soft hand.

"It doesn't matter about this marriage. I'm happy, Mom. I'm lucky enough to get love from you," said Davina.

Alina who saw the sincere smile on Davina's face was getting more and more impatient. She grabbed Davina's body and hugged her tightly.

"You are the best daughter-in-law in the world," said Alina, tightening her hug.

A few moments later, Revan walked down the stairs and saw his mom and his wife hugging each other.

Revan looked at the two women a little surprised. It's still too early for drama, isn't it?

"What's wrong with you guys? Why are you hugging so early in the morning?"

Revan's question broke the mood. Alina and Davina let go of their embrace.

"Nothing. Come here... your wife has prepared breakfast for you," said Alina with a smile.

Revan walked over and sat on the empty chair in the dining room. Now his eyes turned to Davina who smiled faintly at him.

"Thank you. I appreciate this," said Revan to Davina.

"No problem. It's my duty as a wife. Don't thank me," Davina said awkwardly.

Revan smiled faintly and immediately tasted the first dish from his wife. The smile on his handsome face grew wider as one bite by one he put into his mouth.

"You're good at cooking. It's very delicious," said Revan and continued to put the food in his mouth until there was nothing left.

Alina grabbed Davina's hand and held it tightly from under the dining table.

"Please take good care of my son," the beautiful woman begged.

Davina just smiled and nodded slightly in response. Davina also really wants to bring happiness to her new family.

For the first time, Davina just felt how to have a complete family and get the love of a mother through my love Alina.

So far Davina has always lived alone without the love of her family. However, all of that makes the stronger to live her life and never envy people who have complete love from her parents.

if only Davina's father was still alive, surely Davina would still get the love from him that she had missed so much. However, she is still grateful to have a mother-in-law as good as Alina who always gives her sincere love.
