2 2. Proposal for Davina

Davina stepped into her uncle's simple house. She saw they has a special guest.

"Davina," Sarah greeted, she's Davina's aunt.

Davina nodded her head politely. "Y-yes," she's said.

"Sit down, uncle wants to talk to you for a moment," said Johan, Davina's uncle.

Davina could only obey and sat beside her aunt quietly. The beautiful girl was silent while twisting her clothes out of fear. Yes, because she was afraid she would be scolded for doing something her uncle and aunt didn't like.

"He is Revan Maheswara, CEO of ReMa corp," said Johan starting the conversation.

Davina look at Revan and smiled, then nodded her head politely.

"Nice to meet you... I'm Davina," said Davina who was already very nervous.

Davina's heartbeat is no longer irregular. Even to raise her head, she was unable to. Now her mind began to wander far away about what will happen.

"Nice to meet you, Davina. You are prettier than I saw in the photo," said Revan praising Davina.

It is undeniable that Davina is very beautiful. her black and glowing beads, her clean white skin, and her flawlessly well-groomed face.

"Get straight to the point. Mr. Revan came here to propose to you," Johan said, making Davina raise her head in surprise at the statement.

"What?" said Davina in disbelief.

"Yes. Your uncle intends to set you up with me. And, I want to marry you,"

Now Revan spoke up. Meanwhile, Sarah and Johan could only remain silent while holding back their smiles. this was a plan they did on purpose.

Johan offered to match Revan with his daughter namely Nara. However, Revan first knows the background of Davina, who is Dilan's lover. Therefore, Revan is more interested in marrying Davina than Nara.

"But, you don't know me yet. How can you be sure to marry me?" Davina said scared.

"No problem. I've heard a lot about you from your Uncle," said Revan with a smile reassuringly.

"You just accept his proposal. You're lucky enough to marry a CEO!" Sarah whispered to Davina.

While Davina was still silent and kept her head down. She had just broken up with Dilan. Then, how could she decide to get married to another man so soon?

"Eum.." Revan cleared his throat because the atmosphere suddenly turned awkward.

"It seems, Miss Davina is not interested in accepting my proposal," said Revan, glancing at Johan sharply.

"No. It's not like that. Maybe Davina still needs to think about your proposal. please, don't be discouraged," said Johan scared.

Sarah pinched Davina's thigh until she winced in pain. It was a threat so that her niece would accept a proposal from Revan, who was none other than her uncle's superior.

"I... I accept your proposal, Mr. Revan. Sorry, for my impudence for making you discouraged," said Davina with a heavy heart.

Revan flashed a triumphant smile. His action to take revenge on the Arsenio family will soon run smoothly.

Finally, they immediately set an engagement date.

Ah no. More precisely, the wedding date because Revan doesn't want Dilan to know about this and will mess things up.

Only 3 days. The time given by Revan to prepare is 3 days. which he only wanted a simple wedding and only the two families attended.

Not without reason. . but this was all deliberately done to hide his identity temporarily from Dilan, who already knew that Revan was his step-brother who still held a grudge against his family.

While Davina, was also unable to refuse in any form, she had accepted the marriage plan with resignation.

That night, Davina sobbed in her room lamenting her fate again. Davina buried her face between her knees. No friends and she was completely alone.

Davina's bedroom door swung open violently. And saw a girl the same age as she appeared from behind the door.

She is Nara Anindita. Davina's cousin.

The girl with sharp eyes walked quickly to Davina who was still crying beside her bedroom bed.

Plakk...

The hard slap landed on Davina's smooth cheek. for some reason, Nara came in with emotions running high like Davina had made a big mistake on the girl.

"What's wrong with you, Nara?" Davina asked while holding her cheek which was sore from her cousin's slap.

instead of answering, Nara grabbed Davina's hair so the beautiful girl looked up.

"Arrgghh... It hurts... Let go of your hand, Nara. What are you doing?" Davina groaned in pain.

Davina's hair seemed to almost fall out of her head because of Nara's strong tug. Nara was often rude to Davina, but never bad like now.

"Do you know your mistake? You always pretend to be a hypocrite!" Nara growled for no reason.

Nara beat Davina so that she fell to the floor.

"What do you mean exactly?" Davina asked not understanding.

"You make me hate you even more. Isn't it enough for you to have Dilan? Then, do you want to marry the most respected CEO in this country? You are so greedy!" Nara said with high emotion.

With difficulty, Davina stood up and walked over to Nara. Her fists clenched tightly against her anger.

"Do you know? You've never once felt what I felt all this time," said Davina coldly.

The girl stared at her cousin intently, not even blinking a second.

"Whatever you do to me, I always accept even though it hurts. And for this marriage? Did I ask for it? I don't even know anything about this marriage. Why are you blaming me?" Davina said repeatedly which made Nara silent.

Davina slowly walked closer to Nara. However, Nara backed away from her. For the first time, Nara saw a cold and angry aura about Davina.

"Stop all your rude things to me. I don't hesitate to reply to it. Even an animal would attack if its life was in danger. Do you understand?" Davina said with emphasis.

Seeing Davina who didn't play with her threats made Nara scared. the girl chose to leave leaving Davina without saying a word.

After Nara's departure, Davina immediately collapsed on her bed and started crying again.

"If it weren't for my parents, I would never have endured this for too long..." Davina muttered as she closed her beautiful eyes.

Davina doesn't know what she has done in her previous life so that she can get life trials like this. To be honest, Davina had wanted to give up on this life for a long time. But there is still Dilan who always gives her support and attention.

Until now she seemed to have no hope anymore when she realized that Dilan was not destined for her. Even though it was very hard, she had to go through all of this with an open heart. She didn't want to give up on the situation because she was a strong girl.

Davina must be able to show those who hate her that she can be a strong person and will not be underestimated anymore.

And Davina's hope is only for the marriage that she will do soon with her future husband, Revan Maheswara.
