1 THE BRIDE

RAMONA KIDDO (under the beeper cover which conceals her name , and is simply known as the BRIDE) arrives in Pasadena California. She stops at the residence of homemaker JULIA BELL which houses her, her four-year-old daughter RUTH BELL and medical husband LAWRENCE BELL.

Ramona arrives upon the doorstep and rings the bell, bringing the market copperhead JESSICA GREEN to the door, who is believing her to be friend sarah who has tendency to arrive late at their outings.

Jessica is shocked upon seeing her face, and Ramona red visions the flashback sequence, focusing on Jessica. After clearing fades, she strikes Jessica to the face and enters her home , engaging her in combat.

The fight begins with Ramona attempting to strike at Jessica with a roundhouse kick, but Jessica blocked it and was hit by Ramona's immediate punch after her first attack. Ramona tried to land a second punch, but Jessica caught Ramona's arm and threw her to the wall, breaking the glass of a framed photo. Ramona fell to the ground and blocked Jessica's incoming axe kick to her face. To counter back, Ramona, while her on back, kicked Jessica's knee and kicked her again on her forehead. This caused Jessica to fly backwards into the TV room's glass table , breaking it.

Ramona recovered from the floor and jumped over the couch blocking her way. At the same time, Jessica grabbed one of the legs from the broken table and used it to hit Ramona's knee. Jessica tried to hit Ramona again by trying to strike her in her face with the table leg. Ramona ducked out of the way and laid on her back to grab hold of Jessica's weapon and and flip throw her over her body .Before Jessica was able to stand up , Ramona held Jessica's neck, locking between her right elbow. Struggling to escape, Jessica grabbed a fire poker and swung the tip to Ramona's face, knocking her off and letting go off her neck.

While moving back into the TV room, the two of them tried tried to slice one another with knives from a distance and they stopped moving in front of TV room window. Outside the window on the street, A school is seen dropping off Jessica's daughter and she walks towards the house. Jessica then has a desperate look on her face and Ramona complies with the same look. As soon as the door opened, both of the women held their knives behind their backs and moved to next each other. Ruth comes home and Jessica greets her with the smile while she and Ramona are bleeding from their faces due to light cuts. Ruth noticed the distruction of the TV room and asked about how it came to be. Jessica told Ruth that her dog got into the room and cause the mess and before Ruth could get any closer to examine the room, Jessica stops her. Ruth looks Ramona witha suspicious look. Jessica then tells her daughter that Ramona is an old friend of her's. After a short introduction, Ramona asked Ruth how old she was . Afetr Ruth answered , Ramona told her and Jessica that she had a little girl once and she would be the same age as Ruth.

Jessica then tells Ruth that she and Ramona are going to talk about downstairs and orders Ruth to go up to her room and not to come down until she say so. Ruth complies and walks up to her room. Instead of resuming fight , Jessica asked Ramona if she would like some coffee Ramona accepted her offer and they both walked back into the kitchen.

While having coffee, Jessica , correctly, guesses that it's too late for her to apologize to Ramona, but also demands to know if she going to start anything around Ruth. Ramona tells Jessica relax , as she has no wish to murder her ibfront of her daughter, which Jessica thinks to be more rational that BEN made her think Ramona is . Ramona replies tgat she lacks not rationality, but mercy, compassion, and forgiveness.

Jessica regrets what she had done to Ramona in the past and understands why Ramona is here. They then decides to knife fight. Ramona then demise Jessica. Ruth witness her mother's demise.

Ramona leaves the house and Ruth remains in the kitchen staring at her mother's corpse. Ramona walks back to PUSSY WAGON and the finishing speech of HATTORI HANZO remerges, telling that revenge is never a straight line, but a forest.

Ramona then drives off to her next destination on her journey to kill Ben.
