1 Prologue

As the life drained out of the body of the 27-year-old man named John Reaver, his soul was lifted from its physical vessel. The man was once a successful and wealthy individual, but he never really wanted the fame or the wealth that he had attained. He rose to the top of the corporate world only to take revenge on his enemies, but after he succeeded in doing so, he was left feeling empty and unfulfilled.

As John's soul floated in the void, he thought back to his childhood. He was an orphan who was adopted by a couple who owned an entertainment company called "Reaver Entertainments". They saw the potential in John's good looks and exploited him to further their own interests. But as they soon discovered, the boy was not just a pretty face, but he was also extremely intelligent and won several prizes during his school days. The couple then decided that it would be more advantageous for them if the man pursued academics instead of acting.

As a result, the boy spent his childhood trying to make his adoptive parents happy. He did everything they told him to do, but then, he later realized that all his efforts were in vain as they only adopted him to exploit his talents. Despite the harsh treatment from his adoptive parents, John remained devoted to his younger sibling Alaisha Reaver, a baby girl who was born to the couple many years after his adoption. He was fascinated by her very existence and loved her deeply, no matter how harsh his adoptive parents became after her birth.

It was during a family trip that John's life changed forever. A truck driver collided the car in which the Reaver family were driving and the accident took the lives of both his adoptive parents, and John tried his best to protect his sister Alaisha, but she too perished in the accident. As the boy lay bleeding on the ground, he cried not for his parents but for Alaisha, and all the pent-up emotions he had been suppressing throughout his childhood were finally released. He then became unconscious due to excessive blood loss.

After waking up in a hospital, John began to investigate the accident and soon discovered that it was his uncle who was behind it all. For the first time in a while, the man felt anger, and he channeled all that anger into something productive. He used his intelligence and cunning to become wealthy and powerful, and he garnered respect and accolades everywhere he went. But all of this was just a scheme to make his other relatives jealous and to protect himself from the assassination attempts they sent his way.

Finally, John succeeded in destroying all of his enemies and getting his revenge, and after all of that, he felt the emptiness that came after his revenge. It was then that he began writing a webnovel, the "The Freed Abyss". The writing was the only peace of mind he had during his tough times, and after he finished it, he felt satisfied. He then finished writing the last chapter for the webnovel, he was satisfied with it and drifted off to sleep, it was his first time he slept so peacefully, but unbeknownst to him he died in his sleep, as he laid dying, he thought to himself, "Wouldn't it be nice to reincarnate into a fantasy world? I can live without scheming or plotting, and live a peaceful, loving life." his thoughts became more of a will and started its travel to find a host/body it deemed perfect in a fantasy universe.
