chapter 4

I did showing up at the pack house. I have to take a deep breath and just remember myself just get through the meeting and then I can disappear.

I look down at my phone to see what time it is 4:08. I send Riley a text asking where she is at, she replies back not too far.

I text her back haha very funny get your butt in here!

I hear the Luna call out to everyone saying gather around. She calls Matthew and Haley up to this little platform that they have set up in what looks like a large living room.

Don't ask me what they actually did with their living room furniture because I have no clue.

As I'm looking around I noticed that they are more than just the graduating class in this room. I noticed in the corner of the room is Logan and Shane.

I turned my head away trying not to look suspicious. I noticed that my brother and Samantha are also here. As I'm looking around I realize people who family lives in the pack are here and the ones graduating.

Riley was right most of the people are trying to find there mates here.

Not paying much attention to what Matthew or Haley is saying I tried to find Riley. I can't seem to spot her. The next thing I know people's names are starting to be called out by the Luna of the pack and they are step up on the platform to introduce ourselves.

I start to pay a little bit more attention to what people are saying. Their name, their age, what they're going to do after graduation. Most all of them are saying they will be joining the pack and living with their mate. I start to realize the ones who don't mention their mate. The luna is asking them about it.

I'm start getting really antsy, when I feel a nudge on my shoulder. When I look over I see Riley and she whispers relax to me. We'll get through this and then we'll leave I said.

After sometime we noticed that every name had been called except for us and just as the last person is done Riley name is called out. We both start walking torch the small stage.

I step up on the stage the Luna looks at me and says you're the human with the A/B honor and a 4.0 GPA. I bet you got some great offers to different colleges.

I'll look right at her. I'm a A/B honor yes and I do have a 4.0 GPA. My name is Riley I'm seventeen and I didn't work my ass off to get out of school early to turn around and go right back in.

What I do with my life isn't your f****** business I said. Looking at Sarah I said you're up. As I stepped off the small stage and standing right beside her now.

The whole entire room was quite and everybody's attention was on us.

Sarah Looking at me and said, you just couldn't help it could you! The only thing I replied was she started it and I finished it. When you get done we will leave.

The Luna cleared her throat and all attention went back to her she opened her mouth and closed it and then she opened it and said Sarah very Softly.

When I stepped up on the stage I said, my name is Sarah I'm Seventeen I'm the valedictorian of this senior class. I'm going to college after graduation and as far as my mate I plead the fifth. I turned around and looked at Riley and said let's leave.

Bryson and Logan both ended up shouting my name at the same time. All heads jerk to Logan and then me and Riley. We both took off running out the door.

Right before we reach the tree line I noticed someone grabbed my arm pull me to a hard stop. Without having to turn around I realized it was Logan.

Then when I turned around I noticed that Bryson and Shane along with the Alpha Carson was all Standing looking at me. Shane who was looking at Riley.

These is where all hell broke loose. I told Logan to let go of my arm and to get off me. He said no! You are my mate and we need to talk. I rare back my leg and kneed him right in the nuts.

He let out a Yelp! I pulled back and took a few steps back from him and said to him all I am to you is a runt. Do you take me to be stupid, I heard what you said over the years! All the jokes you laughed at with your friends about me.

I'm so very sorry, I only heard people talking, that you was a runt and that you couldn't shift. But everybody knows it's not your fault.

The things that we talked about was if somebody ended up being mated to you. How hard it would be because you are so weak and you can't shift. I should have never went along with them.  I did and for that I am so sorry.

You must know that I thought maybe that you might be mine mate? If you were I would love you just the way that you are! I wouldn't want you to change anything about yourself.

I want you to know that you didn't need to be strong because you have me. That if you can't shift that is fine with me! We could go on walks together. If anybody ever said anything to make you feel upset then I would put them in their place.

You are my other half, I need you and I want you. Please Please Sarah given me a chance!

I don't know,.. If I do give you a chance you're probably just use me just so you can get the alphas position, then you'll just reject me.
