Secret training
Soon Leo woke up, the sun was still high up meaning, that he had not slept for a long time. Other thing telling that was, that mom still hadn't returned and that can be said because he was still laying there. Leo looked around him.
He was covered in black substance, it had the consistency of a jelly and smelled awful, like the room was full of corpses. Leo only knew, that mom was going to come back on some time, no idea how fast and his room smelled and looked awful, even he himself looked like a normal human again.
Leo quickly went to take a shower, he washed off the black substance that was sticking into him and washed it all off. He put his hair on a pony tail and put on baggy clothes.
He didn't want to show his mom yet, that he had lost weight because it would be impossible with normal way and his mom would not like the way, that he did it. If she even knew it.
Leo actually didn't know of his mom's past; she never trained him or herself and didn't even use any magic. He only knew, that mom used a battle scythe, but he did not see her use it, she had told him to run and not look back. Because of this, Leo thought that his mom was a normal civilian with no real battle experience, only if he knew...
After putting on a baggy white shirt and sweat pants, they were big enough to not show his weight loss and could hide the truth from mom. Leo ran outside the house, took a bucket near garden and a shovel.
He started shoveling the smelly substance into buckets and dumped it outside near the forest border, if he had more time, he would bury it underground but if not, then he would do it tomorrow.
The job was not an easy or fun one, he would much rather make food for a hundred soldiers than this, and he hated cooking. It was a long job, but after getting it done he took some already dirty towels and wiped the rest off. He used another wet towel to get rid of everything and it was done.
He put the towels in the fireplace and burned them, for some reason, they had a lot of towels, plated and other normal tools, maybe mom got them as a gift but luckily we have so many of them.
The sun was still quite high, so he decided that there was enough time to bury the black substance, which he named black trash.
When mom comes home, the sun is usually in the middle of ground and directly above him, with this he thought to have about two hours before mom arrived, which was beyond enough.
This didn't even take that long, he only shoveled the dirt on the other side of the pit, put the black trash inside and put the dirt back. The ground wasn't now as smooth as before, as there was a small dirt hill but no one would notice that.
He also thought, that because the black trash came from inside of him, it would recycle in nature. He still had about an hour, so he wanted to try fire magic again. The target block, the same one that he had missed completely yesterday.
He started at the target block and then a small flame appeared on his hand. He supplied the flame with oxygen to make it a ball of fire. He got ready to throw it, he started at the block again for some time before throwing.
He flew beautifully, not reminding of anything that happened yesterday. Because Leo had only lost fat and not developed any muscles, he knew that he still wasn't strong. But he just threw higher and as the fire curved down and hit the block, it lit on fire.
Leo almost wanted to jump in joy, this was the first time, that he had used a spell successfully, the body cleaning, doesn't count because it's not a spell but rather a trick or meditation, because it only used mana.
Leo continued to threw fire balls and didn't miss a single one, however when a black spot appeared on the block, he stopped. He was scared, that if mom found out she would start asking questions, like why did he use fire magic when he originally used wind. He had changed them in his past life but didn't want to explain that to her mom.
He wiped sweat off his forehead, it would have been a good time to stop anyway, he didn't have anymore energy to use magic. He walked inside and cleaned it. He knew basic water magic and used it for cleaning or getting clean water in a place that didn't have any.
He didn't particularly like cleaning but for his mom, he would do it. He was tired again. Even if he had slept a little bit after body cleaning, he had still used basic mana control for the whole night and then use his remaining energy to train magic.
He decided to do the same as yesterday, which was to sleep on the couch and wait for mom to come back. He pulled a blanket on him, laid on his side and put other hand behind his head.
He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
During this time, Kagura had just gotten out of work and was now walking down the streets of her village. She was a lot more energetic than before and felt like, she could even build a house. Because Leo had cleaned and cooked yesterday, she had a lot more extra energy and wanted to use it for something.
However while walking in the forest towards her house, she didn't find any good ideas to do. Most of them were her normal housework, but because this was extra energy it would not go away.
So she decided to maybe do some Jobs that had left not finished. Like cleaning the little outside building and maybe even fertilize her plants. This made her excited, after her housework, she would do those things.
So you can imagine the look on her face when she opened the door and again the house was clean. She thought that Leo would stop doing it and was about to tell him about it, when he noticed him sleeping on the couch.
He just sighed and made food and then started doing the extra work, that she wanted to do, starting with cleaning the outside building. It mostly worked as the storage for stuff that she could need, so it wasn't opened that often.
She started cleaning the dirty and dusty storage.
Midway through however something caught her eyes, a black box in the corner. She start unconsciously walking towards it, grabbed it's handle.
But then she dropped it while backing away.
"Not anymore."
She walked away from the storage to fertilize her plants.
