Lil monster
Two soldiers were looking at the egg they had just found with their master. Monster eggs were super rare so finding one could go for a lot of money. Especially such a rare egg. It was pitch black and smaller than normal ones.
It would either be with one of the most powerful ones or with weakest ones no in between. The young master was already thinking about the mansion he was going to build with the money and all he ladies he was going to get. He made the two servant soldiers to get the egg for him.
They quickly brought it to him, and he looked at it with Onyx on his eyes.
"Master, we should leave."
"And why is that?"
"If someone else noticed the egg, they could be coming here to get it."
"Nonsense, who would see such a small egg from so far away?"
At that moment the captain behind the young master felt something approaching and with great speed. He grabbed the young master and put him behind his back and prepared for a fight. He looked at the direction where that malicious intent came from.
Finally a figure entered his vision, it was a short white haired girl with yellow eyes. She had a stick on her waist but he knew that it wasn't a normal stick and neither was this girl. She had an emotionless look on her face and she approached us with quick steps.
The guards didn't look bothered and even the young master was looking at the woman with lewd thoughts. And the captain could not lie either, she was fairly attractive but her strength was a lot more than that.
She stopped about ten meters away from us.
"Give me the egg."
Is that the only thing, that she wanted? We were lucky because if I had to fight her, I didn't know if I would have any chance of winning.
However, the others weren't as smart as the captain. They thought that it was just a naive little girl who could do no harm to them.
"We will, but you have to give something in return."
"And what would that be?"
Her face had not changed at all, her aura was unnoticeable. The captain was sure, that she was a master of some kind. Maybe even a sage or their student.
"Your body."
The young master was licking his lips while saying this. He was looking straight at the woman's chest and ass. Everyone would know what he was thinking, even the lady. Because when he looked at her eyes, she launched some kind of magic.
It moved with a speed, that no one who had not an expert level element would not notice. The captain did but the guard who the magic was aimed at didn't. His head went flying behind the trees and his body fell on the ground.
"The Egg."
She released some killing intent while saying it and even the young master realized his mistake and was now sweating while thinking of a solution. He looked at the captain with hopeful eyes but he just shook his head giving the young master only one thing to do.
"He...Here."
He was offering the egg and Kagura lifted it and brought it to herself with the wind magic. She was looking at the small black egg, that she had gotten.
"Thank you."
With that she vanished to the darkness of the forest. The young master and the captain sighed with relief as their lives had been saved. The other guard however was looking pale and had developed trauma because his friends head had flew off right beside him.
Meanwhile Kagura still with an emotionless face was running down the mountain with the egg with her. She was fusing her mana with it to make it grow faster and to make the monster more sure that Kagura is her mom.
As Kagura was getting closer to the place where her portal was, she was thinking about her son. How she was going to find him from the sixth realm and save his. They could live in peace or advance more realms together.
She was also thinking about the mysterious spirit lady in her hotel room, she had given her information about Leo's past life. But how did she know, she couldn't be another person from the future couldn't she?
The egg finally started to crack. It had not grown at all but they weren't supposed to either. Kagura was just looking at the egg while fusing more mana to the egg. She didn't want to wait a lot for the beast to come.
Inside the egg, a mind was gaining consciousness. It was looking around and only found darkness. It was a little scared. But soon it felt something. It got a warm feeling from outside the darkness. Its body responded to the feeling like they had been together for ages.
It leaped through the darkness towards the warmth and broke it.
Kagura was still looking fusing her mana and finally the beast got out. It jumped on her shoulder while hugging her, she could sense it being weak so she didn't do anything about it. She was still a mother, she could not hurt such a small child even if it was a monster.
The beast raised its head and finally saw Kagura's face. She picked the monster and placed it in the middle of her other hand. What should she name it? She wondered a name for a long time. It looked like a bat, it had small leathery wings, yellow eyes like she did. But it's ears were long and so was its tale.
"You're name is now Ciara."
The bat seemed happy, like it knew what she meant. At that moment she felt a little burn on her neck and when she looked down, a small tattoo had appeared. It was a bat tattoo, it couldn't be seen under her robe so she didn't mind.
She placed Ciara on her shoulder and walked inside the portal to enter the sixth realm.
Ciara actually did understand Kagura's thoughts. Because of the accidental magic that Kagura used on Ciara, it made her like a real contracted pet. Usually only people who used the advanced pet magic could do it, why?
There's many theories about what a pet is and what is their meaning. Are they tools or family members? How should you care for them and so on. The most common tactic in pet magic was to form a trust with the monster.
If you started to feed, pet and hang out with the monster for about 4-6 months, you could name it and make it your contracted pet. But because of the similar magic which is sound and illusion is close to Ciara's and most importantly the amount of mana and name, they are now partners. Who could do many interesting things in the future.
