Get scammed

Like the any other day, the black street was full of people, it wasn't even the weekend or night but the street was still full of people. All kinds of people, rich, poor, weak and powerful, it was the dream land of pick pocketers and scammers.

A newcomer had just arrived to the famous place and already in work. He had practiced his skills on the beggars street and now came to earn money, he was a known spoiled brat that did nothing that required hard work but liked to get out of everything hard.

He was picking his first target and noticed her she was a rather short woman, walking head down to not be noticed by anyone, how suspicious. Was she hiding something important or expensive. He started to tail the woman.

He did not know the street well enough so he had no idea, about where they were going but that didn't stop him, he smelled money. However, when he was dreaming about the money that he was going to get, he stopped.

He had come to an empty alleyway. He was hesitantly and timidly looking around himself. He wanted out, this place had nothing good in it. He turned around to run back to the black street but bumped into something.

He stepped a few steps back and raised his head.

"What are you doing."

He noticed that it was the woman she was tailing. He was shocked, how did she hide from him, was she an expert.

"Excuse me..."

He was walking towards the woman to get out of the empty alleyway and run away but when he took a step forwards, a flash happened and his fingers were in the air.

They dropped on the ground while blood poured out of his hand.

"AAAA...."

He was about to scream but before he could do that, he lost consciousness. The woman who left him like that walked away and headed towards her destination again. That woman was Kagura, she was in a bad mood because of all the people and this was her fourth pick pocketer whose fingers she had cut.

She already wanted to get out after only three hours of being in here. Luckily after walking only few minutes, she had arrived at her destination. Casino street, it was the second part of the black street. First one was for merchants, the casino, illegal merchants and last was the brothels.

She started to look for a game or someone who was offering a lot of money. She found one, it was a game, where you had to shoot a bow and hit three targets. She used her wind magic to see where the catch is and found it in seconds.

The last target had a wind magic artifact that defected the arrows. She headed towards it. It had no line because almost no one had done it before.

"How much."

"First try is free and if you hit all three targets, it's thirty onyxes for you."

Onyx was the currency that people mostly used on the lower realms. On the higher realms items like medicine, weapons, armor and slaves were a lot more valuable. She needed about a hundred Onyx for her purchases on this realm so getting almost third of that on one try was perfect.

"Alright, do you have a bow for me?"

"Here."

The man threw an old bow at Kagura. She actually had almost no idea how to use a bow, but she had her wind magic. She loaded the bow and let go of the arrow, she used wind magic to guide the arrow to its destination.

First one hit, it was easy. Second one went almost the same way, the man didn't worry at all, he was confident in the artifact that he had bought. Kagura also was confident, she shot the arrow and started leading the arrow towards the final target.

She flicked her fingers to temporarily close the artifact and returned air back to normal, now there was no vacuum and the arrow hit its target.

The man who had seen it happen, spit his drink out. How could have this happen, it was the first time.

"Could you wait a second?"

"Sure,"

The man ran to the final target and checked the target and the vacuum, he noticed nothing different because Kagura had already returned it. He walked back baffled about the results.

"Where is my money?"

He could do nothing to refuse her the money, he took his pouch, took thirty Onyx, and gave it to Kagura. Kagura nodded and walked away, looking for her next target. This would be easier than she thought.

Only after an hour she had 101 Onyx coins in her pockets. The first part was complete, now she had to find the shop where she could buy the item that she needed. She didn't have a map about the place so she had to find it herself.

"Where's a shop called berserk's dream?"

"AAAAAhhhhh."

The man who had just lost his fingers and who Kagura was holding in the air by his neck was scared and had no idea about what to do. Kagura slapped his cheek and he stopped screaming.

"Where is a shop called Berserk's dream?"

"Walk forward from here and turn right, it's 20 meters from there."

"Good, if you're lying, I will kill you."

He slapped his neck and the man fell to the ground. She started walking as instructed and soon arrived at her destination. The shop looked like it belonged to a witch. It was an old wooden building with one floor and mossy roof.

Kagura walked inside and a bell rang, the inside was like the outside, it had one table and a couple empty shelves. A woman soon walked in, she was taller than Kagura and had red hair. She was wearing a sports bra and short shorts. She had multiple scars one her skin.

"What do you need?"

"I want a regrowth pill."

"It's 200 Onyx."

Kagura showed a ring to the red-haired woman. She came forward and looked at the ring.

"100"

Kagura handed the 100 hundred Onyx, the woman took them and went back to the room behind the counter. Kagura pulled her hand back. The ring that she showed was a token given to her by that woman because she saved her life. She probably didn't remember her but didn't ask because she had given a lot of them.

Soon the woman came with a wooden box and handed it to her and took the box. She turned around and walked away. She then had to rent a room and eat it, she also had to process it and it took about a week, a perfect time for her.

While Kagura was walking towards the cheapest inn, back in the shop the red haired woman was writing letters and copying them. She put one letter on one bird's leg and sent about twenty of them away, they disappeared.

I wonder why she's back.
