Danger lurking

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER HAS SOME BLOOD AND GORE.

I take a minute to try and calm myself but whenever it comes to Syn I lose my control and I can't say I dislike it. When she looked up at me and smiled it took my breath away. She was so breathtakingly beautiful it hurt. With her hair fanned out around her head and her swollen lips from kissing me... I take a deep breath and promise myself that we'll pick up where we left off when I get done.

I shift into the room to find Ren pacing back and forth. "What is it?" I say concerned. This wasn't like him. "I've just received a report about Lilith. She was attacked and is currently being held by an unknown force." I feel my heart stutter and say "We move out now. Tell me everything you know on the way." I waste no time and shift to the armor room.

I quickly strap up pulling my trusted blood blade out infusing it with my power. It absorbs the power and I can feel the call for blood. Soon.. I promise and shift to the dragon stalls. I quickly find Crimson my ride as Ren and a few other shadow guards load up. These dragons are a smaller race that comes from their larger ancestors you hear about in the legends. They may be small but the are quick and fierce.

"Quickly!" I yell and take off. When I first started riding the speed from the dragons were so fast I could barely hold on as it took away my breath and caused my eyes to water. It was no longer an issue now. In no time we reached the boarder in which Lilith was taken. Ren filled me in but it wasn't much. We dip low and I jump off Crimson slamming my fist down on the ground as I land pushing my power out searching for her.

I found what I'm looking for and stand raising my hand. Crimson swoops by twisting sideways allowing me to grab on and flip myself back on without stopping. Crimson has been my dragon rider for many years now making us the perfect pair. The others quickly follow as we make our way further into the woods. The trees start becoming denser causing us to lose speed.

The sun's last rays finally disappear causing everything to become darker but it doesn't pose a problem for the dragons. Finally coming up to a large campsite we fly straight in as I hear Lilith yell. My vision turns read as I see a fae ripping her dress. The dragons are silent as they fly making it impossible for any of them to hear us.

Crimson flies straight over them as I pull my blood blade out and jump. I land behind the fae in front of Lilith taking his head off washing her and myself in blood. Ren and the other shadow guards drop in as well taking on the surrounding men. How dare they touch my sister!

I look over to find the fae in charge. He was a large troll with a head full of red. A fire troll... Another fae runs up but I don't even bother looking. I lift my hand and summon my power exploding the fae in mid run covering myself again. I bring my hand to my mouth and slowly wipe the remains of the fae off as I give the troll a dark promising smile.
