Henry looked around him.
He was still in the City Guild. There were many mercenaries and a handful of magi in the building. And yet, they failed to notice that his soul had left his body.
The soul was an important aspect. If it were damaged, it would not heal for a long time. He was confident to do it here because this city lacked a magus who could see his soul.
Afterward, he couldn't do it again for a while. It was a technique that drained the soul.
He walked along the hallways and arrived at a basement in the building.
On the floor was a gigantic magic circuit. It spread for 100 meters and glowed a faint blue light. It had a complex structure and lay dormant.
He had sensed its existence prior.
This magic circuit served the purpose of defending the city in case of an invasion. It had lesser effectiveness, unlike the academy's defensive magic circuit. Nonetheless, it was still capable of resisting to a certain extent.
