Chapter 9: 2 Years

[Ancient Beast Secret Realm]

Lennon finally got his chance. Whoosh.

As sword flashed.

Spurt.

Blood splattered.

Thud.

At the same time, a big head rolled over the ground. It was the head of the Sparrow.

Phew.

Lennon heaved a sigh of relief. This beast was strong and it's fleeing ability was impressive. If not for cutting it's wings, he would have lost such a prey.

Walking to the Sparrow, and used his ability. This time, he was not planning to waste too much time in this secret realm.

He wanted to fully develop his body to the peak before he leaves this secret realm. As long as he devours most of the high level beasts, he will be able to reach new heights in body strengthening.

If it was someone else, they wouldn't chose such a thing. Some people don't want to be lonely and hunting beasts for years. But Lennon didn't care much about being lonely.

He only wanted to live a long life and research the universe quietly.

The devour ability was activated. The bloodline power inside the Lightning blood Sparrow was sucked. It did not take a while before all it the blood was drained out of it.

At the same time, his purification Ability purified it and strengthened his body. His boy now was close to Stage 6 of Body Tempering Realm (Meridian Refinement Realm). That was how precious the Lightning Blood Sparrow's Blood was. After all, it was a strong ancient Beast.

After devouring it. He also took out the other beast corpses out of his spatial ring. He realized that, he would be wasting time if he continued to hunt, drip blood and devour when he feels safe.

"Why not strike while it's hot."He muttered. He had a point. He would be wasting too much time if he would hunt one by one, he would be safe, but, he would waste too much time. Maybe when he comes back, the Clear Heaven Sect would annihilated.

So, he didn't need to hunt with restraint. now he no longer went back to the safe zone. He went to hunt. Full scale.

[2 Years Later]

Boom boom boom boom. Resounding explosions resounded. A battle was on it's climax.

Swish.

A sword slide through an next and blood splashed.

A massive beast head fell into the ground.

Boom.

After two years of hunting, Lennon had killed and devoured 90% of the Beasts in this secret realm. The remaining beast were only Rank 3 with the strength of the Core Formation Realm.

Lennon had also broken through to the 9th Stage of Body Tempering Realm. He had a terrifying physique. He had killed beasts at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Rank.

If not for the fact that he had the sharp sword, he would have died for sure. But after killing enough beasts, his strength rose by leaps and bounds. Also, with the continuous use of the Devour ability, it became stronger and evolved.

Now his devour ability can devour anything, separate it into different things. For example, in these years, Lennon had hunted thousands of beasts and obtained their blood, Qi and soul Qi.

As long as he devours a soul, he can take it's memories and soul Qi without worrying about the future problems. Lennon also discovered something.

His devour has grown to cover his 3 meters around his body. This means that if it is completely activated, he becomes a miniature blackhole at least four Meters wide.

It's devouring force could devour everything on his surroundings and turn them into all kinds of energy.

It made Lennon question himself. "What is the correct path of cultivation?". He pondered." Is it to defy the heavens or is it to become your own heaven. "

He didn't know the valid answer. He felt like, this secret realm would give him some answers. Maybe.

Lennon devoured all the blood, Qi and Soul Qi of the beasts. His soul energy was now as vast as a sea. If not for the fact that he did not cultivate any technique, he would have become the most powerful human, in terms of soul energy of course.

His Qi had become vast, even though he hadn't entered the first stage of Qi Sea Realm.

His body now was comparable to a peak level Spirit Tempering Realm. That was, even without the Spirit formation. He is powerful enough.

His body is just a bottomless pit. This doesn't mean his body has fully tempered yet. It means that his body, was ready to reach the next evolution.

Lennon was now done with most of the beasts. All that was left for him was to either leave or continue to explore new things.

He was also willing to do so. Looking at a mountaintop, Lennon felt something beckoning him. He didn't know what it was but he could feel that something was calling him over. That was why he didn't rush to exit.

Whoosh,

Lennon started climbing the mountain with slowing down. His sense had been released fully to sense the existence that was calling him.

His senses had become incredibly sharp and helpful. Even though it was just his self awareness and senses fully unleashed, it was nothing but weak. It could be compared to spiritual sense, but in truth, it is just normal senses.

His senses can feel something that is at least a Kilometer away. Even without awakening spiritual sense, he was already that deadly.

Spiritual Sense is the fusion of normal senses and spiritual energy. As he ran up, he didn't feel anything.

Suddenly, a rumbling sound reached his senses. "Found it", said Lennon with excitement. Since there were no high level beasts on the surroundings, he didn't have to be wary of any suddenly attacks from beasts.

Running to a cave on top of the of the mountain, Lennon quickly found what he was looking for.

" Ehh!?" He exclaimed in surprise. "What is this?"
