Chapter 16

Caepron went with Old Lui to the area designated for the Den. It was an open area behind the housing set up in the planning grid with some space for the horses, it was also about 10 minutes away from the village so as to give room for the village to grow. At the site were roughly a dozen builders and a few soldiers patrolling around to ensure the surroundings were safe. Caepron pulled out of his storage ring a black colored clay statue that looked like a horse galloping.

Item: Dark Night Horse Den (Rare)

Description: A den that spawns in horses with the bloodline of the Night Stallion, a noble and terrifying mount used by one of the highest beings ever to exist. These horses have a boost at night because of their bloodline, giving them the abilities Shadow Walk, and Nightmare Charge.

Caepron smiled and placed it in the center of the area that had been cleaned out. The clay statue sunk into the ground and the site started rumbling. A giant cave came out of the ground and the surrounding areas turned into greened grass areas. After a minute, the ground stopped rumbling and the cave had fully formed. It was a dark gray outcrop rock type, and in the center of the cave was a carved stone block with a clay statue hovering on top of it. Caepron walked up to the clay statue to check out the stats.

[Den - Dark Night Horse]: (Level: Primary (0/1000)

Description: A den that spawns Horse of the Night Stallion bloodline. They have the skills Shadow Walk (They are 2 times faster in the dark) and Nightmare Charge (They become shadow-like beings in a charge, and the chance of a critical hit is 40% less.) Spawns 2-6 horses per day.

Caepron was smiling, thinking about the fact that now he could create his own cavalry. He decided to spawn in the horses for today. Four glowing balls started forming into horse bodies. After a few seconds, four tall, black horses stood in front of Caepron. They were completely black, including their eyes. There are long manes running down to the top of their front legs. Caepron walked up to one of them to check their stats out.

[Dark Night Horse]: Description: A horse of the night, its speed and maneuverability increase in the dark. Cultivation 0-4.

Caepron was surprised that the animals had cultivation, but realized that it made sense considering that every wild animal they had come across had some sort of cultivation level. He had set up a basic stable behind the Den so as to have a place to keep all the horses. Caepron then headed back to the village to start cultivating and planning the expansion of the village.

Later that evening the first batch of magic galestone came in along with the wood teams and the hunters. They decided that it would be helpful to build a warehouse, and eventually have formations in it to make the space inside a whole world by itself. They also started planning out the walled area and made sure to make it big enough that they could expand quite a bit. Caepron also got the items dropped from the animals that the hunter team had gotten. They got about 90 bronze coins, a ghost repelling talisman, and an uncommon fishing rod. That night they set the guard and the rest went off to cultivate and sleep. Before going off to bed, Caepron wanted to look at the two seeds he had gotten to figure out what they were. Caepron pulled them out and sat both of them on his palm. They were about an inch long each and about half an inch wide, shaped almost like a lemon with a light tan color.

Item: Mana Eater Plants 2x (Legendary)

Description: A plant that eats the living and dead bodies of other beings, digests them, and then compresses and poops out mana stones of a level lower cultivation. One of the scariest plants ever created by the Ancient Being, Nattol.

Caepron started smiling, if they started wars and killed their enemy, they could turn their literal bodies into resources for his people and troops. That was the peak of resource management and usage. He had Old Lui get a few builders together, and a handful of soldiers, and set up a building built specifically for the growth and future housing of the plants. They set it up away from the village into the side of the valley, away from all current and future infrastructure.

Caepron had them dig a giant tunnel that led to a room large room. From there, they dug out a few skylights and put mesh over them. Then they took the seeds and planted them in large dirt pockets they had dug, mixed in with fertilizer. The seeds almost immediately started growing and sprouting. They almost looked like giant grubs, and I mean MASSIVE grubs. They kept growing and growing until they became roughly 30 meters each. They sat side by side, with giant mouths and giant mandibles. Caepron had a soldier bring a dead bear they had killed that was at stage 2 cultivation. They pushed it forward towards the middle of the giant grub plants. The moment it got within 3 meters of their mouth, the heads shot out from their bodies and tore the body in half. They proceeded to guzzle down the parts that each of them got. They started making a chattering noise and their bodies glowed slightly with fluorescent green color. The group walked around the large pathway to the back of the grubs to see what was happening in the back. After about 2 minutes or so, each grub pooped out what looked like a brand new mana stone. Caepron walked up to one and looked at it.

: Mana Stone (Stage 1) - Description: A stone made up of low-level mana. Used to cultivate the body to new levels.
